환자에게 주는 선량을 감소시켜주는 니오비움 필터의 대체물로서의 저렴한 알루미늄 필터 (Aluminum Equivalent Filter As an Inexpensive Alternative to the Niobium Filter in Reducing Patient Dose)

  • 두께가 50 $\mu\textrm{m}$인 니오비움 필터와 정량적으로 대등하게 결정된 알루미늄 필터를 입사표면 선량, 영상의 질, X-선관에 걸리는 부하를 진단 방사선의 에너지 영역에서 평가하였다. 입사 표면 선량의 감쇠와 선관에 걸리는 부하의 증가를 비교해 볼 때 두 경우에 특이할 만한 큰 차이가 없었고 이 때 필름상의 화상의 대조도는 일정하게 유지 시켰다. 임상에서 알루미늄 필터를 니오비움 필터로 대용하기 위하여 진단 방사선의 에너지 영역의 중간지점, 90 kVp, 에서 대등한 알루미늄 필터의 두께를 측정하였고 이 필터를 73 kVp 와 125 kVp에 적용시켜 입사 표면 선량과 X-선관에 걸리는 부하를 비교 평가하였다. 선택된 두 kVp에서 두 필터의 경우에 특이할 만한 차이는 없었다. 니오비움과 대등한 두께의 알루미늄 필터는 니오비움 필터의 저렴한 대체물로 쓰일 수 있다.

  • 지식사회의 역기능인 정보시스템에 대한 각종 침해행위들로 정보자산의 피해규모는 나날이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 침해행위 중에서 네트워크 보안과 관련된 범죄수사 요구의 강화는 침해행위탐지와 이에 대한 대응 및 보고를 포함하는 다양한 형태의 침입탐지시스템들에 대한 연구개발을 촉진시켜왔다. 그러나 초기 침입탐지시스템은 설계상의 한계로 다양한 네트워크 환경에서 오탐지(false-positive)와 미탐지(false-negative)뿐만 아니라 침입탐지시스템을 우회하는 방법에 대처하기 힘들었다. 본 논문에서는 이런 문제점을 모바일 코트를 통한 최적적응 능력을 갖춘 가상프로토콜스택(Virtual Protocol Stack)을 통해 보완함으로서 침입탐지시스템이 다양한 환경에서 능동적으로 감시중인 네트워크의 상황을 자동학습 하도록 하였다. 또한 본 논문에서는 이를 적용하여 삽입/회피(Insertion/Evasion) 유형의 공격이 적극적으로 탐지될 수 있음을 보였고, 이러한 방법은 보다 다양한 혼성의 네트워크 환경에서도 적응능력을 갖춘 침입탐지 기법으로 확대 적용될 수 있음을 논의하였다.

Rutin induces autophagy in cancer cells

  • Rutin (3,3',4',5,7-pentahydroxyflavone-3-rhamnoglucoside) is a bioactive flavonoid from the plant kingdom. Rutin has been studied as potential anticancer agent due to its wide range of pharmacological properties including antioxidative, anti-inflammatory and anticancer. Autophagy is a conserved intracellular catabolic pathway to maintain cell homeostasis by formation of autophagosome. Processing of autophagy involves various molecules including ULK1 protein kinase complex, Beclin-1-Vps34 lipid kinase complex, ATG5, ATG12, and LC3 (light chain 3). Cargo-carried autophagosomes fuse with lysosomes resulting in autophagolysosome to eliminate vesicles and degrade cargo. However, the actions of rutin on autophagy are not clearly understood. In this study, we analyzed the effect of rutin on autophagy and inflammation in cancer cell lines. Interestingly, rutin induced autophagy in leukemia (THP-1), oral (CA9-22), and lung (A549) cell lines. TNF-${\alpha}$, key modulator of inflammation, was upregulated by inhibition of rutin-induced autophagy. Taken together, these data indicated that rutin induced autophagy and consequently suppressed TNF-${\alpha}$ production.

한국어 문법관계에 대한 부분구문 분석 (Shallow Parsing on Grammatical Relations in Korean Sentences)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 한국어 문장의 문법관계를 분석하는 데 있다. 주된 문제는 문장의 주어, 목적어, 부사어를 문장에서 찾아내는 것이다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해서 한국어 구문 분석에서 발생하는 여러 중의성을 고려해야 한다. 우리는 문법관계의 중의성을 먼저 해결하고 그 다음에 주어진 명사구와 용언구의 문법관계 확률을 이용하여 용언구의 술어-논항 관계 중의성을 해소하는 통계적 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 어절간의 거리, 교차구조 금지, 일문일격의 원칙 둥의 한국어 언어 특성을 반영하였다. 용언구와 명사구 사이의 문법관계에 대한 확률은 지지벡터 분류기를 이용하여 추정하였다. 제안된 방법은 문법관계 및 구문구조 부착 말뭉치를 이용하여 자동으로 문법관계를 학습하였고 주어, 목적어, 부사 각각의 문법관계분석에 대해 각각 $84.8\%,\;94.1\%,\;84.8\%$의 성능을 얻었다.

급성 염좌 환자에 대한 도인교정운동프로그램 치료의 효과 - 교통사고에 의한 급성 염좌 환자를 중심으로 - (Effects of the Daoyin and Corrective Exercise Program on Musculoskeletal Pain - Based on the Acute Sprain Patients due to Traffic Accidents -)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to identify the effects of the Daoyin and corrective exercise program on musculoskeletal pain among acute sprain patients due to traffic accidents. Methods: This study was carried out on the 35 patients who had been treated on musculoskeletal pain due to traffic accidents and was performed from March 1 to June 31, 2011 in the department of oriental rehabilitation medicine, Dun-San oriental hospital attached Dae-Jeon university. And we divided those 35 patients into 2 groups; sample group took treated with the Daoyin and corrective exercise program control group took common treatment only. All of the subjects were examined en visual analogue scale(VAS), state-trait anxiety inventory(STAI) score and presence of treatment after hospital discharge. The data was collected before and after the treatment, after hospital discharge. SPSS ver. 12.0 for Windows was used fer data analysis, and the analysis, and the general characteristics were demonstrated by frequency number and two-independent sample t-test. The effects of the Daoyin and corrective exercise program were analyzed by matched pair t-test and analysis of covariance. Results: On the VAS score, there was significant difference between before and after treatment, and before and after hospital discharge. And on the VAS scores, sample group mowed higher significant change of VAS than control group. And on the STAI score, there was significant difference between before and after treatment. But it did not show statistical significance between sample and control group. Conclusions: The Daoyin and corrective exercise program is an effective treatment fer musculoskeletal pain among acute sprain patients due to traffic accidents.

하프늄카바이드 코팅을 통한 2종형상의 탄소/탄소복합재의 내삭마성 향상연구 (A Study on Improvement of the Ablation Resistance of Two Types of the Carbon/Carbon Composites by HfC Coating)

  • 본 연구에서는 기상화학반응공정을 이용하여 실리콘카바이드가 코팅된 2종형상의 탄소/탄소복합재 위에 진공플라즈마용사를이용하여 하프늄카바이드를 코팅하였다. 코팅 전/후 시편을 5.06 MW/㎡의 열유속에서 120초 동안 산화 및 삭마 실험을 진행하였다. 시험 전/후의 질량 변화량을 통해 질량삭마율을 계산하였고 캘리퍼스와 고속카메라를 이용하여 길이변화를 측정하여 길이삭마량을 계산하였다. 시편 단면의 FE-SEM 및 EDS 분석을 통해 산화 및 삭마거동을 관찰하였다. 플라즈마 풍동 시험결과 코팅된 시편이 무게감소 및 길이변화가 적어 내산화 및 내삭마성이 높은 것으로 판단되었다. 그러나 동일조건에서 시험한 반구형과 원통형의 산화 및 삭마정도는 상이하였고 원통형에서 더 높은 내산화 및 내삭마성을 가지는 것으로 평가되었다.

Design of high-speed planing hulls for the improvement of resistance and seakeeping performance

  • High-speed vessels require good resistance and seakeeping performance for safe operations in rough seas. The resistance and seakeeping performance of high-speed vessels varies significantly depending on their hull forms. In this study, three planing hulls that have almost the same displacement and principal dimension are designed and the hydrodynamic characteristics of those hulls are estimated by high-speed model tests. All model ships are deep-V type planing hulls. The bows of no.2 and no.3 model ships are designed to be advantageous for wave-piercing in rough water. No.2 and no.3 model ships have concave and straight forebody cross-sections, respectively. And length-to-beam ratios of no.2 and no.3 models are larger than that of no.1 model. In calm water tests, running attitude and resistance of model ships are measured at various speeds. And motion tests in regular waves are performed to measure the heave and pitch motion responses of the model ships. The required power of no.1 (VPS) model is smallest, but its vertical motion amplitudes in waves are the largest. No.2 (VWC) model shows the smallest motion amplitudes in waves, but needs the greatest power at high speed. The resistance and seakeeping performance of no.3 (VWS) model ship are the middle of three model ships, respectively. And in regular waves, no.1 model ship experiences 'fly over' phenomena around its resonant frequency. Vertical accelerations at specific locations such as F.P., center of gravity of model ships are measured at their resonant frequency. It is necessary to measure accelerations by accelerometers or other devices in model tests for the accurate prediction of vertical accelerations in real ships.

한국어, 영어 그리고 독일어의 강화사: 비결속 용법을 중심으로 (Intensifiers in Korean, English and German: Focusing on their non-head-bound-use)

  • The main goal of this paper is to describe and analyse intensifiers, especially non-head-bound-intensifiers (NHBIs), which can be included in the discussion and analysis of these elements as focus particles. In doing so, NHBIs such as Korean susulo, casin/cache, English x-self and German selbst are dealt with in a rather cross-linguistical perspective. The pure and strict comparison between Korean, English and German is not intended. This paper is mainly concerned with the semantic domain where the respective contributions of the expressions in question overlap, which offers the common base for the discussion regarding Korean, one of the non-European languages and English and German, two European languages. They share the semantic domain ‘intensification’ regarding relevant subject-NP. They introduce an ordering distinguishing center and periphery. In contrast to head-bound-intensifiers (HBIs), however, NHBIs add self-involvement (directness of involvement) of subject-NP to the meaning of the relevant sentence. I adopt the proposals of Konig (1991), Primus (1992) and Siemund (2000) in the treatment of intensifiers as focus particles. However, I reject Konig (1991) that just NHBIs talre scope over a whole clause, Primus (1992) that NHBIs focus VPs, not NPs, and Siemund (2000) that NHBIs can be further devided into two groups, viz. NHBIs with exclusive readings and NHBIs with inclusive readings. Evidence for my position is presented mainly in the course of describing and analysing some syntactic properties and the meaning and use of NHBIs. I come to the conclusion that both the common meaning of intensifiers as focus particles and the common meaning of NHBIs of three languages can be represented by a simple logical formalism.

거푸집 패널이 부착된 중공슬래브의 안전성 평가 (Safety Evaluation of Void Plywood Slab System with form Work Panel)

  • 본 연구에서는 거푸집 패널이 부착된 실물 스케일의 중공슬래브 Mock-up을 제작하여 즉시 처짐 및 장기 처짐에 대한 플랫 플레이트 중공 슬래브의 안전성을 평가하고자 한다. 중공재가 적용된 Mock-up 실험체의 중공률은 24%로 설계하였다. 콘크리트 블록 하중 재하 시 슬래브의 가장 중앙부의 처짐인 No2의 경우 재하 시 처짐이 8.88mm 발생하였으며 이는 즉시 처짐에 대한 기준 값(ln/240=17.93mm)에 비하여 안전한 값을 나타내고 있다. 3개월간 처짐 량 계측 결과, 중앙부 처짐 량은 초기 처짐에서 6.792mm 더 추가되어 처짐이 발생하였지만, 이는 국내 구조 기준에서 제시하고 있는 사용하중에 의한 기준 값을 만족하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

A Cohen syndrome patient whose muscle-relaxant effect may have been prolonged during general anesthesia: a case report

  • Cohen syndrome is a rare genetic disorder associated with mutations in the VPS13B gene. Individuals with this disorder present with diverse clinical manifestations, including muscle hypotonia, intellectual disabilities, and typical facial characteristics, such as prominent upper central incisors and micrognathia. General anesthesia was administered to a 23-year-old man with Cohen syndrome. Although we observed prominent upper central incisors, an overjet of 10 mm, micrognathia, and thyromental distance of 4 cm, hypotonia was not observed in the patient. Intubation was rendered difficult when performing a direct laryngoscopy. However, smooth intubation was achieved using a video laryngoscope. The patient's train of four (TOF) count remained zero close to 60 min after rocuronium administration, suggesting that the drug's muscle-relaxant effect may have been prolonged. A TOF ratio of 0.79 was confirmed 130 min after rocuronium administration, and a TOF ratio of 1.0 was confirmed after administration of 150 mg of sugammadex. The patient's respiration remained stable after extubation, and no recurarization of muscle relaxation was observed. As demonstrated in this case report, it is important to closely monitor recovery from muscle relaxation and prepare multiple techniques for airway management in general anesthesia management of patients with Cohen syndrome.
