피드포워드적 토크고속응답제어법을 이용한 유도전동기의 속도센서레스 제어 (A Speed Sensorless Control of Induction Motors Based on Feedforward Quick Torque Response Control Technique)

  • The vector controlled induction motor(I.M) with speed sensor has been widely used for variable speed drive systems. In these application fileds, speed sensorless control are expected strongly to progress reliability, simplicity and cost performance of I.M and to expand its application part. This paper describes a novel speed sensorless control method of I.M based on feedforward quick torque response control technique. Especially, this paper aimed at the realization of sensorless control in the very low speed region, The proposed method can be formulated simply from a motor circuit equation and conducted easily by detecting primary motor currents and a voltage command at every sampling time. Throughout some results of numerical simulations with the assumption of using a pulse width modulation(PWM) voltage source inverter, the validity of the method was successfully confirmed.

Operational Mode Analysis of Cooler Driver Electronics in Satellite and System Safety Margin

  • Cooler driver electronics (CDE) for maintaining low temperature of the satellite payload IR sensor consists of a compressor that has a pulsation current load condition when it is operated. This pulsation current produces large voltage fluctuation, which affects both load and regulated bus stability. Thus, CDE power conditioning system consists of a primary bus, infrared power distribution unit for battery charging and protection, reverse current protection diode, and battery, which is used as a buffer. In this study, the operational mode analysis is performed by each part with equivalent impedance modeling verified through system level simulation. From this mode analysis, the safety margin for state of charge and open circuit voltage of the battery is determined for satisfying the minimum operational voltage of the CDE load.

고전력 절연 게이트 소자의 구동 및 보호용 파워 IC의 설계 (A Design of Gate Drive and Protection IC for Insulated Gate Power Devices)

  • 본 논문에서는 600V/200A 또는 1200V/150A와 같은 고전력 절연 게이트 소자를 구동 및 보호하기 위한 파워 IC에 대한 연구에 대해서 살펴보았다. 고전력 소자의 구동을 위해서 최대 Sourcing 전류 4A, 최대 Sinking 전류 8A로 설계하였으며, 과전류 보호회로로는 전력소자의 드레인(콜렉터) 전압을 측정하여, Desaturation을 검출하는 방식을 사용하였다. 또한 과전류 보호시 기생 인덕턴스에 의해 발생할 수 있는 과전압을 억제하기 위해서 soft-shutdown 기능을 추가하였다. 제안된 게이트 구동 IC는 동부하이텍의 고전압 BCDMOS 공정인 0.35um BDA350 공정과 PDK를 사용하여 설계 및 제작하여 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문은 구동신호 위상제어 기능을 갖는 SIT고주파공진 인버터를 제안하였다. SIT를 이용한 위상제어형인버터는 낮은 스위칭 손실로서 높은 스위칭 주파수의 전력변환을 실현시킬 수 있다. 특히 2단위 인버터의 출력전압을 직렬로 연결하여 높은 출력을 얻을 수 있다. 과전류에 대해서 보호회로를 이용한 시스템의 안정성과 그리고 PLL에 의해 부하변화에 따른 자동추종제어를 실현하였다. 특히 제안된 인버터는 고주파에서도 거의 정현파에 가까우며, 스위칭 주파수 범위는 180∼220〔kHz〕이고, 2〔kW〕의 유도가열에 응용하였다. 본 인버터의 동작 특성에 대해서 이론과 실험결과를 비교 검토하였다.

  • Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is a widely adopted technique to drive the motor using the voltage source inverters. Since they generate high frequency Common Mode (CM) Voltage, a high shaft voltage in induction motor is induced which leads to parasitic capacitive currents causing adverse effects such as premature deterioration of ball bearings and high levels of electromagnetic emissions. This paper presents an Active Cancellation Circuit (ACC) which can significantly reduce the CM voltage hence the common mode current in the three phase induction motor drives. In the proposed method the CM voltage is detected by the capacitors and applied to the frame of the motor to cancel the CM voltage hence the CM current. Unlike the conventional methods the proposed method does not insert the transformer in between the inverter and motor, a high power rating three phase transformer is not required and no losses associated with it. In addition the proposed method is applicable to any kind of PWM motor drives regardless of their PWM methods. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proved by the experiments with a three phase induction motor (1.1kW 415V/60Hz) combined with a three phase voltage source inverter modulated by the Space Vector Modulation (SVM).

  • 유도전동기 구동시스템의 예상치 않은 고장은 많은 산업 응용분야에서 심각한 문제를 초래시킬 수 있으므로, 유도전동기 구동을 위한 전압형 PWM 인버터의 고장진단에 대해 연구한다. 진단의 고려 대상은 정류기 다이오드, 스위칭 장치 및 입력단의 개방회로 고장이며, 진단신호는 전동기 전류로부터 유도한다. 고장의 특징추출은 dq-전류 경로의 크기를 이용하였고, 진단은 PCA와 LDA를 적용한다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 일반적인 중${\cdot}$소형 유도전동기 구동 시스템의 제어기에 진단 소프트웨어를 추가하여 사용하는 것에 대한 가능성을 제시하며, 그에 관련해 수행속도에 따른 진단결과들을 보여준다. 최종적으로, MATLAB을 이용하여 인버터의 고장진단에 대한 모의실험을 수행 하였고, 제안된 알고리즘의 유용성을 검증하였다.

Classification and Analysis of Switched Reluctance Converters

  • This paper reviews and analyzes converters for SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) drive. Conventional classification focuses on the number of power switches and diodes. It is easy to find the number of semiconductors and the cost by counting the number of active components, but it does not show the important characteristics of a power converter. The voltage ratings for the power switches and diodes are also difficult to identify. This paper proposes a switched reluctance (SR) converter configuration that is classified based on the commutation type and magnetic energy path. The converter has three parts: utility interface, front-end circuit, and power converter. Based on the overview on the conventional SR drive, the most important characteristic of the converter is determined by the topology of front-end in conjunction with the power converter. An SR converter has two parts: front-end and power converter. Inasmuch as the capacitive front-end is widely used for voltage source converters, this paper focuses on topologies for the front-end.

  • 고주파용 transistor를 이용한 광대역증폭기를 hybrid-π 등가회로를 이용하여 상세하게 분석하였다. 저주파와 고주파의 경우에 관한 해석을 하였고 이득과 대역폭및 입력 impedance와 출력 impedance를 주는 식을 유도하였다. 직렬궤환증폭기는 전압원으로 구동하여야하며 저저항부하로 동작시켜야 하고 병렬궤환증폭기는 전류원으로 구동하여야 하며 고저항부하로 동작시켜야 하는 것을 표시하였고 이 두가지 증폭단은 완충증폭단이나 변압기결합을 하지않고 결합시킬 수 있음을 표시하였다.

Control of C-dump Converters fed from Switched Reluctance Motors on an Automotive Application

  • This paper deals with the analysis of switched reluctance motor drives for different drive circuit topologies used in automobile. So we attempt to improve the weaknesses associated with the asymmetric bridge converter in the limited internal environment of automotive application. Two kinds of c-dump converters are tested in terms of dump capacitor voltage, speed response according to the variation of advance angle and efficiency for the radiator cooling-fan drive of an automobile. They enable more economical and efficient converter topology for automobile industries. This paper describes the performance characteristics of 12V-250W-3000rpm SRM drives for automotive application. Computer simulation and experiment results are then presented to verify the performance of the two kinds of c-dump converters.

Common Model EMI Prediction in Motor Drive System for Electric Vehicle Application

  • Common mode (CM) conducted interference are predicted and compared with experiments in a motor drive system of Electric vehicles in this study. The prediction model considers each part as an equivalent circuit model which is represented by lumped parameters and proposes the parameter extraction method. For the modeling of the inverter, a concentrated and equivalent method is used to process synthetically the CM interference source and the stray capacitance. For the parameter extraction in the power line model, a computation method that combines analytical method and finite element method is used. The modeling of the motor is based on measured date of the impedance and vector fitting technique. It is shown that the parasitic currents and interference voltage in the system can be simulated in the different parts of the prediction model in the conducted frequency range (150 kHz-30 MHz). Experiments have successfully confirmed that the approach is effective.
