  • An approach for collision-free coordination plan along designated paths of two robots in a common workspace is presented. Specifically, a notion of coordination space is introduced to visualize all the collision-free coordinations for the two robots. Then a problem is formulated and resolved in order to find the optimal coordination curve which trade off between safety of two robots and difference of degree of accomplishment.

  • In this paper, image processing technologies was employed to monitor and visualize the conditions of the inside of furnace for glass. In order to capture the images of the furnace under the high temperature environment, specially designed camera system was used. From the experimental results we see that the developed software showed good information about the inside conditions such as a scum line and positions of bubbles.

  • In order to verify robot motions for a desired work, it is necessary to visualize it on a computer screen. This paper presents a simulation algorithm for robot manipulator motion. Kinematic description is based on the Denavit- Hartenberg link representation. In order to be applied to various types of the robot manipulator, inverse kinematics make use of the Newton-Raphson iterative method with the least squares method. Joint variables are interpolated by the lowest polynomial segment satisfying acceleration continuity. The robot motions are generated and then animated on a computer screen in the form of skeleton type.

  • There are no solar loads through windows and heat transfer from outer walls of the building to the interior This study analyzes indoor air temperature and air flow distribution for the interior of buildings or vessels occupying space. Numerical method is adopted to visualize the indoor side environmental situation. that is without heat transmission to outside the building in various cooling load conditions; supply ventilation lighting. occupancy and infiltration in conditioned spaces. Reaching time of an air conditioner is predicted theoretically by cooling load variations. Theoretical modelling of the reaching time shows good agreement with experimental results.

  • Support vector machines(SVMs) are known as flexible and efficient classifier of multivariate observations, producing a hyperplane or hyperdimensional curved surface in multidimensional feature space that best separates training samples by known groups. As various methodological extensions are made for SVM classifiers in recent years, it becomes more difficult to understand the constructed model intuitively. The aim of this paper is to visualize various SVM classifications tuned by several parameters in reduced dimensions, so that data analysts secure the tangible image of the products that the machine made.

  • An early step toward evaluating a predicted RNA secondary structure is to visualize the predicted structure in graphical form. This talk will present an algorithm for efficiently drawing RNA secondary structures. The algorithm represents the direction and space for a structural element using vector and vector space, and generates nearly overlap-free polygonal displays. The algorithm and a graphical user interface have been implemented in a working program called VizQFolder on IBM PC compatibles.

  • Though the laser cutting process is increasingly used in industry, a process automation and systematic database is still yet to be developed. In this study, as the fundamental step toward the construction of a reliable process expert system, a laser cutting quality monitoring/analysis system is developed based on simulations and experimental results. The relations between laser process parameters and laser cutting surface quality parameters such as kerf geometry, striation, surface roughness and dross formation are characterized and analyzed. A graphical user interface is used to visualize the results.

  • MRI(magnetic resonance imaging) is very useful to visualize the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury of the knee. Differential features of ACL injury at MRI according to acute and chronic stage should be evaluated to enable accurate assessment of the integrity or ACL. Distinguishing features of normal anatomy. acute and chronic injuries or ACL at MRI will be reviewed.

  • The atomizing characteristics in a spray injected from a twin fluid atomization nozzle have been investigated. The Sauter mean diameters as mean diameter are compared with wavelength calculated from the instability theory. The Sauter mean diameter are measured by the Fraunhofer diffraction theory using the Malvern particle sizer. The wavelength is calculated using the mean relative velocity instead of the exit relative velocity of nozzle. Also shadowgraphy technique is used to visualize atomization. This paper gives a possibility that the mean diameter can be predicted with the wavelength obtained by the simple instability theory.

  • In this study, we get a digital imagery about the objective road and visualize it as three dimensional so called 3D. That is to say that we manage the road trough computerized data or 3D and we can expect to get efficiency of the human resources and economical, timely efficiency which is needed to maintain and manage the road.
