Neurophysiology of Amplification and Mutation of Poetic Sense: Focusing on Hwang Jin-yi's Sijo "I do not untrustworthy"

  • Sometimes, literary therapy is to create an abscission layer at the mind and remove the signifier of love, by the abscission layer. The purpose of this study is to reveal the mechanism of literary therapy by mutation in human-created sentences and to activate literary therapy. In Gosijo, the abscission layer of Seo Gyeongdok's mind is present in the layer of the "falling leaf" of the his Sijo's last sentence, and the abscission layer of Hwang Jin-yi's mind exists in the layer of the "falling leaf" of the her Sijo's last sentence. The "falling leaf" created by the abscission layer of Seo Gyeongdok's sentence acts as an action potential to the nervous system of Hwang Jin-yi. In Hwang Jin-yi's Sijo, the abscission layer is also activated, forming a "leaf". Hwang Jin-yi's Sijo constructs a new sensory layer that is extended and mutated more than the meaning of space between lines of Seo Gyeongdok's Sijo. In her Sijo, Hwang Jin-yi twists and twists Seo Gyeongdok's sentences to squeeze the sound. She accepts the Seo Gyeongdok's sentences and twists in the first sentence and twists out of the second sentence once more to produce the mutation in the last sentence. As a result of her sentence twist, Seo Kyung-duk's visual sense of "falling leaf" is mutated into a "falling leaf's sound" of auditory sense. This mutation process works as a healing mechanism in the human body. If this study will continue in the future, it will be possible to activate literary therapy by Sijo.

  • 수학적 명제들을 사용하는 수학교육용 게임의 학습 도움말이나 안내말은 그래픽 우선 인지스타일을 가진 게임세대의 학습자를 위해 그래픽적인 형태로 표현하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 수학 명제들에 대한 객체 기반 비주얼적 표현방법을 제안하였다. 이 표현방법은 단어들과 함께 그래픽적 기호들과 수학적 기호들 사용하여 객체 기반적인 표현방법의 규칙을 갖고 있다. 그래서 수학적 의미를 정확하게 표현하거나 이해하기가 쉽다. 그리고 학습자가 내용을 빠르게 읽을 수 있다. 제안된 방법은 게임 세대 학습자들에게 교육용 게임을 통해 수학 학습의 스캐폴딩으로써 도움을 받기가 좋다.

배경소음의 정도에 따른 음성장애 환자 발화 명료도 연구 (A Study on the Speech Intelligibility of Voice Disorder Patients according to the Level of Background Noise)

  • The present study was performed to investigate the intelligibility of voice disorder patients by providing the various background noise levels. Four sets of 12-sentence-stimuli produced by 11 voice disorder patients were prepared, and 5 minute-news from radio broadcasting studio were used as a background noise. 30 listeners assigned intelligibility score of each sentence with visual analog scale. Each set of sentences was provided with 20dB, 10dB, 0dB noise (same intensity with stimuli), and, finally, with no noise. As results, as background noise level increased, intelligibility scores were lowered with statistical significance. Even though in the same severity, more loud background noise showed much lower scores than less loud noise. When 10dB noise was provided, intelligibility scores showed the biggest difference among the degree of severity.

잡음제거 기능을 갖춘 시-청각 단서 제공 읽기 훈련 프로그램 (A Reading Trainning Program offering Visual-Auditory Cue with Noise Cancellation Function)

  • 본 논문에서는 개발된 잡음제거 기능을 갖춘 시-청각 단서 제공 읽기 훈련 프로그램(이하 프로그램)을 소개한다. 프로그램은 시-청각 단서들을 지닌 훈련용 문장들을 제공한다. 말운동장애인들은 읽기훈련을 위해서 시각단서와 청각단서들을 각각 또는 동시에 사용 가능하다. 훈련 결과의 평가 편의성 제공을 위해서 잡음제거 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 알고리즘은 피험자가 컴퓨터화면에 제공된 문장을 읽을 때 읽는 말소리와 함께 녹음된 잡음과 청각단서 소리를 제거한다. 또한 피험자가 읽기 연습을 시작할 때 최초의 말소리 개시시간을 검출하는 기능을 구현하였다. 말소리의 녹음은 4가지 잡음환경(실내 잡음, 백색 잡음, 자동차 내부잡음, 배블 잡음)에서 성인 6명(남성 3 명, 여성 3명)으로부터 하였다. 잡음제거 전과 후에 대한 조건에서 녹음된 말소리의 실제 시작 시간과 프로그램상에서 찾은 시간과의 오차를 실험하였다. 잡음제거 전과 후에서의 시간오차가 $4.847{\pm}2.4235[ms]$ 향상되었다. 개발된 프로그램은 말운동장애인의 훈련 및 증상 평가에 도움이 될 수 있으리라 사료된다.

위계적 고착현상 치료 프로그램의 적용: 사례 연구 (Hierarchical Treatment of Aphasic Perserveration Program: A Case Study)

  • This study explored the effectiveness of a hierarchical treatment of aphasic perseveration (TAP) program in a Korean client with transcortical sensory aphasia. The subject with 52% perserveration score (Korean version of Boston Naming Test : K-BNT) was 44 year-old female with MCA (Middle cerebral artery) infarction. The experimental design used was an alternating treatment design with the hierarchical TAP and conventional audio-visual stimulation. The frequency of occurrence of perseverative behaviors and correct response in naming performance were analyzed and compared. It was claimed that the hierarchical TAP was more effective in naming performance than conventional audio-visual stimulation in terms of correct naming response. The frequency of occurrence of perseverative behaviors was lower in hierarchical TAP but the difference was relatively small. Unlike in English, sentence completion task was no longer stimulable while unison speech was very stimulable among the specific strategies of TAP program in Korean. Therefore, it could be said that TAP is language-dependent.

  • 본 연구에서는 설명 문장 생성을 통한 해석 가능한 시각적 질의응답 모델을 설계하고 학습 방법을 제시한다. 설명 문장은 시각적 질의응답 모델이 응답을 예측하는 데에 필요한 이미지 및 질문 정보와 적절한 논리적인 정보의 조합 및 정답 추론 과정이 함의되어 있을 것으로 기대한다. 설명 문장 생성 과정이 포함된 시각적 질의응답의 기본적인 모델을 기반으로 여러 가지 학습방법을 통해 설명 문장 생성 과정과 응답 예측 과정간의 상호관계를 분석한다. 이러한 상호작용을 적극적으로 활용할 수 있는 보다 개선 시각적 질의응답 모델을 제안한다. 또한 학습한 결과를 바탕으로 설명 문장의 특성을 활용하여 시각적 질의응답 추론 과정을 개선함으로써 시각적 질의응답 모델의 발전 방향을 논의한다. 본 실험을 통해서 응답 예측에 적절한 설명 문장을 제시하는 해석 가능한 시각적 질의응답 모델을 제공한다.

컴퓨터를 이용한 억양 교육 프로그램 개발 : 프랑스어 억양 교육을 중심으로 (Intonation Training System (Visual Analysis Tool) and the application of French Intonation for Korean Learners)

  • This study is concerned with the educational program Visual Analysis Tool (VAT) for sound development for foreign intonation using personal computer. The VAT can run on IBM-PC 386 compatible or higher. It shows the spectrogram, waveform, intensity and the pitch contour. The system can work freely on either waveform zoom in-out or the documentation of measured value. In this paper, intensity and pitch contour information were used. Twelve French sentences were recorded from a French conversational tape. And three Korean participated in this study. They spoke out twelve sentences repeatly and trid to make the same pitch contour - by visually matching their pitcgh contour to the native speaker's. A sentences were recorded again when the participants themselves became familiar with intonation, intensity and pauses. The difference of pitch contour(rising or falling), pitch value, energy, total duration of sentences and the boundary of rhythmic group between native speaker's and theirs before and after training were compared. The results were as following: 1) In a declarative sentence: a native speaker's general pitch contour falls at the end of sentences. But the participant's pitch contours were flat before training. 2) In an interrogative: the native speaker made his pitch contours it rise at the end of sentences with the exception of wh-questions (qu'est-ce que) and a pitch value varied a greath. In the interrogative 'S + V' form sentences, we found the pitch contour rose higher in comparison to other sentences and it varied a great deal. 3) In an exclamatory sentence: the pitch contour looked like a shape of a mountain. But the participants could not make it fall before or after training.

The Effects of Visual Stimulation and Body Gesture on Language Learning Achievement and Course Interest

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of using visual stimulation and gesture, namely embodied language learning, on learning achievement and learner's course interest in the EFL classroom. To investigate the effectiveness of the proposed purpose, thirty two third-grade elementary school students participated and were assigned into four English learning class conditions (i.e., using animated graphic and gestures condition, using only animated graphic condition, using still pictures and gesture condition, and control condition). The research questions for this study are addressed below: (1) What differences are there in post and delayed learning achievement between imitating gesture group and non-imitating one and between animated graphic group and still picture one? (2) What differences are there in course interest between imitating gesture group and non-imitating one and between animated graphic group and still picture one? The Embodiment-based English learning system for this study was designed by using Microsoft's Kinect sensing devices. The results of this study revealed that students of imitating gesture group memorized and retained better words and sentence structure than those of the other groups. As for learner's course interest measurement, imitating gesture group showed a highly positive response to attention, relevance, and satisfaction for curriculum and using animated graphic influenced satisfaction as well. This finding can be attributed to the embodied cognition, which proposes that the body and the mind are inseparable in the constitution of cognition and thus students using visual simulation and imitating related gesture regard the embodied language learning approach more satisfactory and acceptable than the conventional ones.

FAGON: Fake News Detection Model Using Grammatical Transformation on Deep Neural Network

  • As technology advances, the amount of fake news is increasing more and more by various reasons such as political issues and advertisement exaggeration. However, there have been very few research works on fake news detection, especially which uses grammatical transformation on deep neural network. In this paper, we shall present a new Fake News Detection Model, called FAGON(Fake news detection model using Grammatical transformation On deep Neural network) which determines efficiently if the proposition is true or not for the given article by learning grammatical transformation on neural network. Especially, our model focuses the Korean language. It consists of two modules: sentence generator and classification. The former generates multiple sentences which have the same meaning as the proposition, but with different grammar by training the grammatical transformation. The latter classifies the proposition as true or false by training with vectors generated from each sentence of the article and the multiple sentences obtained from the former model respectively. We shall show that our model is designed to detect fake news effectively by exploiting various grammatical transformation and proper classification structure.

XML 기반 다이어그램 시스템 (A Diagram System based on XML)

  • XML 문서와 관련된 기존의 다이어그램 시스템은 대부분 특정한 목적으로 이용할 수 있도록 작성되어 있다. 또한 다이어그램 컴포넌트가 정의되어 있지 않기 때문에 자동적으로 DML 문서를 생성하기가 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 XML 문서가 실행될 수 있는 다이어그램 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 다이어그램 시스템은 위지웍(WYSIWYG) 개념을 이용하여 다이어그램 컴포넌트를 정의하며, 자동적으로 DML 문서를 생성할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 따라서 더욱 효율적으로 새로운 다이어그램을 개발할 수 있으며, DTD를 이용해 다이어그램에 대한 문법을 정의함으로써 XML DTD에 대한 의미적 일관성을 유지하였다. 또한 본 시스템은 다이어그램 문장에 대한 문법검사와 의미실행을 위하여 VPL(Visual programming Language) 개념을 이용하였다. 본 시스템을 활용하면, DML 문서를 쉽게 생성할 수 있고, XML DTD 기반의 문법검사와 의미실행을 할 수 있다.
