Human being is experiencing the spaces with constant moves. The process of delivering information is worked by vision and perception communications. The aim of this specialized study is to analyze the processes of constructed experiences which visitors may choose the directions in the museum. Abstracting and investigating the recognizable and visual elements, we examine how those elements influence the audiences moving choices which reflect the propensity of people through mostly the experimental research. These cases would show the more effective results with proper harmony of different characters. To analyzing and adapt the recognizable and visual elements which effect the audiences moves from starting point, this research suggests the directions of plans in active spaces which would help the communication between the objects In the museums and people. This research is the basic study of maximizing the communication between audiences and exhibitions.
Body movements of humans have emotions and these movements have meanings of 'Living Spirits' and 'Emotions'. Also emotions of humans indicate all body movements which are made within the environment. This study aims at providing new potentials to emotional design research methods not only by understanding the characteristics of visual perception according to body movements and but by investigating correlations between sequence which arise by the visual perception and emotions through experiments. As for the scope and method of this study, the emotional space designs were analyzed through the emotional theory study, SD method was used to evaluate emotions and the movements in the modern village and traditional village with similar elements were compared and analyzed for the empirical study. As a result, first it was confirmed waling hours in the traditional village took more than the modern village and it is thought movements of humans are affected by the visual environments. Second, it was confirmed values of the emotional evaluation were higher in the traditional village than the modern village. Third, according to a result of the correlation analysis between space sequence and emotions, it was closed with negative emotions such as 'Closed', and 'Complicated' from positive emotional words such as 'Natural'. 'Open', 'Curious', etc. as spaces are experienced more through movements in the modern village. On the contrary, the emotional intensity of the positive words such as 'In Harmony', 'Beautiful' and 'Warn' through movements in the traditional village increased as spaces were experienced more. As a result of this study, it was confirmed the time, space and emotions have correlations each other.

The color space transformation to link device-dependent color spaces and device-independent color spaces is essential for device characterization and cross-media color reproduction. There are various color conversion methods such as regression, 3D interpolation with LUT(look-up table), and neural network. In the color transformation with these methods, the conversion accuracy is essentially based on the sample data to be exploited for device characterization. In conventional method, color samples are uniformly selected in device-dependent space such as CMY and RGB. However, distribution of these color samples is very non-uniform in device-independent color space such as CIEL*a*b*. Accordingly, the conversion error in device-independent color space is irregular according to the distribution of the samples. In this paper, a color sampling method based on equi-visual perception is proposed to obtain approximate uniform color samples in CIEL*a*b* space. In order to evaluate transformation accuracy of proposed method, color space transformations are simulated using regression, 3D interpolation with LUT and neural network techniques, respectively.
As it gets nearer to the modern society, social and cultural situations are changing and the spatial form of public space is changing into the complex structure where it is interlinked with each other diversely. In particular, as the development of large-scale complex spreads nationwide, the form of complex commercial space assuming the nature of malls appears prominently. In such a large-scale complex commercial space, the diverse visual elements make the environment difficult to be perceived. Like this, the attention in the commercial space where a variety of visual stimuli are in the presence, is important element, so the plan of VP(visual presentation) is needed for effectively selecting or inducing the space. Thus, in this study, human visual and perception process will be reviewed and a method to evaluate the attention will be proposed. Also, the attention of each stores in the complex commercial spaces will be evaluated to propose the indicators for resonable spatial panning in the future.
Stages, in the theatrical spaces, were space, which incorporates aspects of cities. Hence, the stages have been constituted to materialize sequence of city, which has exact number, proportion and order of ideal city. In addition, it has accomplished change, which depends on type of performance with the social condition and culture of generation, city has. However, the original form of theatrical space were forgotten on account of the various changes of theatrical form with modem movement since the end of 19th century, and theatrical space, which does not relate with its space of city, was started to constitute. Particularly in contemporary society, the theatre can give vitality to the citizens, and also theatrical architecture as a commercial code has been a general form, though it takes important role, which improves cultural value with technical improvement of cities development of society. Thus, this study analyzed urbanity ,which theatres have incorporated historically, and deduced a correlativity from to be based on constitution of space in visual, perceptual, spatial constitution and functional role. Focused on published SPAC international competition, it was interpreted by contemporary focus, therefore, this experiment suggests constitution of theatrical spaces of information, takes urbanity, through to analyze visual, perceptual, spatial constitution and functional role in context of contemporary city.
In highly informative, perception-rich environments that we call Omniscient Spaces, robots interact with physical objects which in turn afford robots the information showing how the objects should be manipulated. Object manipulation is commonly believed one of the most basic tasks in robot applications. However, no approaches including visual servoing seem satisfactory in unstructured environments such as our everyday life. Thus, in Omniscient Spaces, the features of the environments embed themselves in every entity, allowing robots to easily identify and manipulate unknown objects. To achieve this end, we propose a new paradigm of the interaction through Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). The aim of this paper is to learn about RFID and investigate how it works in object manipulation. Specifically, as an innovative trial for autonomous, real-time manipulation, a likely mobile robot equipped with an RFID system is developed. Details on the experiments are described together with some preliminary results.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relationship between panoramic perception and space organization for restoration of urban environment and architecture. Panorama is a collective visual catalogue composed by series of perspective images. It is a product from continuous movements of viewer by defamilarizing real image and structuring order between city and building. Through understanding the panoramic image, the viewer is able to achieve the total image of the city. For example, achieving visual perception of the city by employing the panoramic view from different historical backgrounds and cultures, Berlin developed its urban characteristic by rebuilding panoramic view as an aesthetic device. First, this paper mention theory of panorama as an aesthetic device for shaping the city from the building. Second, this paper analyze the relationships between characteristics of panorama and historical contexts for why those panoramic views are valuable by mentioning the Altes Museum, the Berlin National Gallery, Museum of Modern Literature, and Folkwang Museum of panoramic view. In conclusion, this paper argues that visual perception such as panoramic view is the valuable device for organizing the image of the city's own identity. Constructing vision of each city influences not only shaping the city but also mapping the mental views of the building. Also, historical conditions and open spaces are one of the inherent elements combined with panoramic view for establishing urban identity. In search for good place making, it is important to understand the role of the historical context and fabric plan in shaping how a resident sees - literally, sees- their city with buildings. Berlin serve as excellent counter example in how the valuable place making panoramic mental views of urbanities take shape.
The environmental considerations should be taken into full consideration in order to make the use of ground space as comfort and efficient as that of ground space. The visual environmental factors which provide visual informations in underground spaces where the environmental information can be acquired only by the surroundings expand their role as affordance for wayfinding. This study focuses on the visual performance evaluation of wayfinding factors on the subway transfer station platform and aisle as major space for movement in four subway transfe stations and analyzes the material, pattern, color, and lighting provided by the visual environment in underground space as directional marked label, regional differentiation and sign system. The results of this study comes are as follows. First, As to the directional marked label at the subway platform and transfer aisle, following patterns are colors, finishing materials and lighting for the sake of safety and convenience, And regional differentiation, following colors are patterns for the space division. Finally sign system which practically provides the most information, however, it is most insufficient to be a space-preception element. Second, According to the type of platform structures, such as an island platform and a separate platform, the main areas of and necessity for the space-perception elements may bring about changes. Third, these four stations that has been analyzed for this study, lighting, compared with color, finishing material and pattern, has been highly insufficient to be a perception element.
To determine "how humans move in space, what they want, and through which visual information they act and choose," this study aims to define in which sense space is preferred in gaze. The ultimate goal is to extract data of human visual awareness and preference in space. This study analyzed the observation characteristics perceived through observation frequency and time depending on the purpose cafe customers to understand what intension of visiting the space has on the observation characteristics which are the results obtained as information through visual perception. This research methods are as follows. First, the areas of preference in $caf{\acute{e}}$ space gazed by visual concentration are analyzed by divided into 12 by 12 grid A and B images separated depends on existence of people. Second, eye-tracking visual path in conscious gaze is analyzed to examine. Third, though the higher section frequency is likely to have more observation time, the interest area of I(3sec/180), II(6sec/360) and III(9sec/540) had higher frequency of Intention. The followings are the results of this study. First, the time range for searching or wandering and the observation characteristics could be estimated by the meaning of observation time by grade with the time-range out of the distribution of sections. Second, at the time distribution by section, when there was intention, the observation time was found to have higher occupation. In conclusion, this study is to determine the correlation of human concentration gazing at space images. It is an exploratory research on research methodologies, and aims to develop methodologies and provide basic data to plan attractive spaces in light of the subconscious of consumers in the future by interpreting gaze data related to concentration.

Modern optical mechanisms slanted toward Ocular-centrism have neglected diverse functions of vision, judged objects in abstract and binary perspectives, and organized spaces accordingly, there by neglecting the function of eyes groping objects. Recently, various experiences have been induced through communication with other senses by the complex perception beyond the binary perception system of vision. Haptic perception is dynamic vision that induces accompanying bodily experiences through interaction among the various senses; it recognizes the characteristics of material properties and various sensitive stimulations of human beings. This study elaborates on the major features of haptic perception by examining the theoretical background of this concept, which stimulates the active experience of the subject and determines how characteristics of haptic perception are displayed in picturesque gardens. In order to identify the major features of haptic perception, this study examines how Adolf Hildebrand's theory of vision is developed, expanded, and reinterpreted by Alois Riegl, Wilhelm Worringer, Walter Benjamin, Maurice Merleau Ponty, and Gilles Deleuze in the histories of philosophy and aesthetics. Based thereon, the core differences in haptic perception models and visual perception models are analyzed, and the features of haptic perception are identified. Then, classical gardens are set for visual perception and picturesque gardens are set for haptic perception so that the features from haptic perception identified previously are projected onto the picturesque gardens. The research results drawn from this study regarding features of haptic perception presented in picturesque gardens are as follows. The core differences of haptic perception in contrast to visual perception can be summarized as ambiguity and obscureness of boundaries, generation of dynamic perspectives, induction of motility by indefinite circulation, and strangeness and sublime beauty by the impossibility of perception. In picturesque gardens, the ambiguity and obscureness of boundaries are presented in the irregularity and asymmetric elements of planes and the rejection of a single view, and the generation of dynamic perspectives results from the adoption of narrative structure and overlapping of spaces through the creation of complete views, medium range views, and distant views, which the existing gardens lack. Thus, the scene composition technique is reproduced. The induction of motility by indefinite circulation is created by branching circulation, and strangeness and sublime beauty are presented through the use of various elements and the adoption of 'roughness', 'irregularity', and 'ruins' in the gardens.
