  • The purpose of this project is to develop the visual servoing system with 5d.o.f robot manipulator. For this, we developed robot manipulator by using 5 serial RC motors and the visual system is also developed by using low cost USB CCD camera. RISC MPU ATMEGA128 is main controller MPU for the robot manipulator. To control the manipulator Kinematics was analyzed and GUI, API for vision system also were developed.

  • Pilot and flight crew visual performance in general aviation aircraft operating is paramount for safe operation of the aircraft. Pilot compartment view, instrument and cockpit lighting forms an essential aspect of this visual performance, and therefore warrants guidance and standardization. This study introduces acceptable design criteria for pilot compartment view, instrument and cockpit illumination for general aviation aircraft.

  • 저전력에 사용되는 Flyback 컨버터에서는 일반적으로 트랜스포머의 보조권선을 통하여 구동 IC에 필요로 하는 전력을 공급한다. 하지만, USB PD와 같이 5~20V의 넓은 출력전압을 가지는 경우 IC Vcc 정격 전압을 위하여 Linear regulator 사용이 필수적이나, 이는 소자발열 및 시스템 효율을 저하시킨다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 출력전압 변동에 따라 변압기의 보조권선을 변환 시키는 회로를 제안하고자 한다.

  • It has been integrated into several navigation systems. This paper shows that system recognizes difficult indoor roads and open area without any specific mark such as painted guide tine or tape. In this method, Robot navigates with visual sensors, which uses visual information to navigate itself along the road. An Artificial Neural Network System was used to decide where to move. It is designed with USB web camera as visual sensor.

Visual Analytic for Intangible Cultural Heritage in China

  • Visual analytic for intangible cultural heritage has recently developed in China. Using advanced interactive visualization tools experts can observe data distribution trends and explore the implicit relationships among data within a short time. It can enhance human cognitive and analytical abilities and improve the scientific preservation of intangible cultural heritage. To support this research topic, we have reviewed recent visualization works on intangible cultural heritage in China. We divide these works into three types: text visualization, multi-dimensional visualization, and geographical visualization. Each type is illustrated by several representative works. New development trends in this area are also discussed.

The Relationships Between Use of Visual Media and Imaginative Playfulness in American Preschool Children (미국 유아원 아동의 미디어 시청과 상상놀이성간의 관계)

  • Ecological predictors of imaginative playfulness were researched to test relationships among preschoolers' individual characteristics, socioeconomic status, their visual media use, and their imaginative playfulness. Data were collected from 202 primary caregivers and head teachers in childcare centers in Michigan, U. S. A. Use of visual media was coded by the program categorization of Anderson et al. (2001) and the Television and Movie Violence Rating Scale (Huesmann et al. 2003). Imaginative playfulness was rated by the adapted Playfulness Scale (Barnett 1990). Results of hierarchical regression showed that child characteristics of age and gender predictors contributed to their imaginative playfulness. On the other hand, children's visual media use and socioeconomic status of their families did not predict their imaginative playfulness.

  • The Fashion Distribution Business (FDB) is thriving to such an extent that the current period is called "The Era of Fashion." This FDB shows tendencies towards specialzation, globalization and expansion. The domestic FDB has been rapidly globalizing, and thus it is time for us to recognize that the fashion business has grown beyond its former role as a production-oriented retail business to include multiple new roles. This strategy to plant Store Identity on customers is just a Visual Merchandising (VMD) Strategy. That is, a strategy to visualize the Product Planning, which can be called a Complex Visual Expressing Technical System that classifies and arranges products in order to be easily seen, chosen, and bought through exhibition and arrangement. My aim is to break away from the conept that has been focused only on display division and to present product scheme correctly and to establish a VMD Plan which can also contribute to sales promotion by providing infirmation and arranging Store Display efficiently for customers. A Study on the Visual Servoing of Autonomous Mobile Inverted Pendulum (자율주행 모바일 역진자의 비주얼서보잉에 대한 연구)

  • This paper proposes an optimal three-dimensional coordinate implementation of the vision sensor using two CCD cameras. The PBVS (Position based visual servoing) is implemented using the positional information obtained from images. Stereo vision by PBVS method that has enhanced every frame using calibration parameters is effective in the distance calculation. The IBVS (Image based visual servoing) is also implemented using the difference between reference and obtained images. Stereo vision by IBVS method calculates the distance using rotation angle of motors that correspond eyes and neck without enhanced images. The PBVS method is compared with the IBVS method in terms of advantages, disadvantages, computing time, and performances. Finally, the IBVS method is applied for the dual arm manipulator on the mobile inverted pendulum. The autonomous mobile inverted pendulum is successfully demonstrated using the center of the manipulator's mass.

  • The help or guide sentences of educational math games which use mathematical statements need to represent graphical forms for the learners of the game generation whose cognitive style is graphic first. In this paper, we proposed an object-based visual representation method for mathematical statements. It has object-based description rules to use graphical symbols and mathematical symbols with text words. It is easy to describe or to understand accurately mathematical meaning and is also fast for learners to read for understanding. The proposed method is good for learners of the game generation to get the help as scaffolding for learning math by educational games.

  • 다양한 과학 분야와 공학 분야에서는 그들이 다루고 있는 특정한 주제의 정보를 좀 더 신속하고, 명확하게 사용자에게 전달하기 위해서 여러 가지 정보 가시화(information visualization) 기법을 사용한다. 정보를 가시화 할 때는 기본적으로 세 가지 과정을 거치는데, 원천 데이터(raw data)로부터 데이터 모델(data model)로 변환하고, 변환된 데이터 모델을 가시화 구조상(visual structure)에 매핑(mapping)시킨 후 정보화 모델(information model)로 변환하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 특정 행사가 진행되고 있는 건물내부에서 발생하는 시간, 공간적인 정보를 정리한 도표 메타포(table metaphor)를 토대로, 해당 데이터 모델로부터 추출한 다양한 정보를 3 차원 지도로 구성된 정보화 모델 상에 반영하기 위한 방법을 제안하였다. 또한, 정보를 단순히 공간상에 반영하기 보다는 사용자의 관심영역(interest area)에 따른 정보의 공간적 의미에 중점을 두어 3차원 공간상에 표현하였다.
