휴양환경 이용수준에 대한 방문객의 적응 및 대응행동 - 북한산 국립공원 소귀천 탐방로를 대상으로 - (Visitor Adjustment and Coping Behavior for Use Level in a Recreational Setting - A Case Study of Bukhansan National park -)

  • Perceived crowding is known as a necessary method to evaluate social carrying capacity in recreational settings. But according to the results of previous research, perceived crowding, use density, and satisfaction have shown weak and indirect correlations. The theory of visitors’ adjustment is one of several possible explanations for this poor relation. But the validity of the visitors’ adjustment theory has not been not inspected clearly. Therefore, the purposes of this study are to understand visitors’ adjustment theory and to examine visitors’ adjustment to the overuse of recreational settings. Study hypotheses were formulated through literature review and related to visitors’ adjustment in recreation density. Pour hypotheses were established and inspected with the case study, i.e., Rationalization : Visitors’ satisfaction isn't related to use density in recreation setting, 2) Product-shift : Preference norm is related to current use density, 3) Self-selection : Visitors’ satisfaction for the use level is generally high, and 4) Displacement : Norm interference is related to willingness to revisit. The case study was conducted during May and June,2001. According to the results of this survey, visitors adjust to overuse of recreation setting through rationalization and product shift (hypotheses l/2 acceptance). Current use density isn't related to visitors’ satisfaction and willingness to revisit (see table 3). And visitors’ preference norm is modified by situation (see table 4). Visitors’ satisfaction and willingness to revisit don't show a high correlation but moderately high (see table 5, hypothesis 3 acceptance). Differences between visitors’ preference norm and current use density is norm interference. Norm interference isn't related to willingness to revisit (see table 7). Therefore, the norm interference concept is not a useful method to explain visitors’ adjustment to the degree of overuse in a recreational setting (hypothesis 4 rejection). As for future directions, the following are proposed: 1) correctly understanding and reestablishing the visitor norm and norm interference concept, 2) introducing a composite research method to monitor visitors’ behavior and survey visitors’ attitudes and coping responses. These efforts would be helpful in the Planning and management of recreational settings to improve the quality of visitors’ experiences.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic materials for working out differentiated marketing strategies appropriate to the visitors and potential visitors of rural tourism for the sustainable development of rural tourism. The study was conducted through a questionnaire survey fur 500 adults aged 18-year-old or older residing in downtown Seoul, and the characteristics of the visitors and potential visitors of the rural tour were analyzed through frequency analysis and logistic analysis. The analysis results are summarized as follow. In many cases, they obtained information on the rural tourism chiefly through mass media and decided their participation after listening to the stories of nearby people or visitors. The survey showed that the estimated necessary expenses of the potential visitors were more than actual ones of the visitors. It was analyzed that the reception attitude of residents was a factor to have the most significant effect on the participation of rural tourism, while necessary budget for potential visitors.

박물관 관람경험의 특성과 시대적 의미에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Experiential Characteristics of Museum Visit and Its Periodical Implications)

  • This thesis is focused on the visitors varied experiences of the current museum architecture. The current trend and periodical development of visitors experiences are discussed by analyzing the factors such as the external symbol scheme, the exhibition space scheme, and the visitors circulation scheme which are involved with a visitors experience and thus classifying the experiences related to each sample museum. Examining and providing logical descriptions on each of the schemes helps comprehend the visitors varied experiences. This research, which deals with thoroughly understanding a museum as an architecture followed by taking visitors experiences into account, is aimed to contribute to improving visitors experiences in the course of designing a museum. The above-mentioned types of combination applied to each museum chosen for the research help understand the following : National museums show predominance of specific visitors experiences. As for the external symbol scheme, most of national museums have adopted the temple type, whereas international museums have equally adopted with the temple type and the showroom type which are characterized by its dedication to function and being in balance between contents and formalities.

미술관 단위전시실의 경로선택 유형과 관람행동 특성에 관한 고찰 (A Study on Characteristic of Visitor's Behavior and Circulation Path Type in Art Museum Exhibition Space)

  • This study attempts to understand the arrangement and spatial requisites of art pieces by materializing the visitors' path of movement in the exhibition space, as well as researching their behavior. The purpose of the research is to the guideline for planning the exhibition layout and visitors' circulation can be derived in order to correspond to the visitors' characteristic of movement and circulation-path choice. Although such guideline may have limited use, it is still significant enough to be studied. Taking three Korean art galleries as the subjects of research, this study observes the arrangement of art pieces, movement path of visitors, characteristics of the visitors' behavior and the duration time a visitor takes to view an art piece without moving around in order to understand the arrangement and spatial requisites of art pieces which correspond to the visitors' behavior. The following results have been drawn in this research and analysis; First, when there is an island type exhibition other than the ordinary on-the-wall display in the exhibition space, the visitors' choice of path changes. In short, an island type exhibition seems to be a factor that changes the visitors' path. Second, in the entrance of an exhibition space unit, most of the visitors seem to choose a path which moves counter-clockwise. Third, it is considered that well-known art pieces or art pieces with a big size shall not be displayed on the comer of the exhibition room.

지역축제 방문동기의 만족영향 요인 -관여도 조절효과 - (Motivational Factors Influencing Visitors' Satisfaction - Moderating Effects on Tourism Involvement -)

  • Tourism motivation and involvement are important variables influencing visitors satisfaction. The study aims to identify the factors influencing visitors' satisfaction. Particularly, the study examine the moderating effects on tourism involvement between tourism motivation and visitors' satisfaction. Data were collected from 430 usable questionnaires among visitors of Gigisi local festival. Results of a factor analysis yielded three dimensions of tourism motivation which are family and local food, recreation and escape, and social factor. Results show that social factors among three dimensions of sense of community have significance for visitors satisfaction. And tourism involvement has a negative interactional effects as a moderator between recreation and escape motivation and involvement. It means that even though higher recreation and escape motivation, less likely to have visitors satisfaction if visitors have higher involvement in local festival. It was suggested that tourism motivation and involvement should be considered in local festival management and policy.

해외전시회에서 참관객 만족요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Satisfaction Factors of the Attendees to the Overseas Exhibitions)

  • This is the research on the correlation between the marketing activities conducted by the companies participating in the overseas exhibitions in the exhibition and the satisfaction of the visitors. I have been able to obtain the following findings through the positive research on the satisfaction of the visitors to the overseas exhibitions. The research findings show that the external elements of the participating companies such as 'external appearances of booths, interior facilities and the atmosphere', 'designs of exhibits', 'size of the participating companies', and the publicity elements of the participating companies such as 'the degree of application of mass media', 'prior publicity of the participating companies', etc. among the marketing activities conducted by the participating companies in the exhibition affect the interest and repeat business deals of the visitors. The findings also show that the elements to induce the interest of the visitors such as the booth design and display of products where the participating companies may produce their unique image and the prior publicity to the visitors constitute the important elements of marketing. It has also been revealed that the visitors whose purpose of the visits are to purchase the products and to satisfy their interest in 'the events and contents of the events affect the interest and the repeat business deals of the visitors, among the interest and repeat business deals pursuant to the characteristics of the visitors. It has also been found that the visitors who have recognized the representative brands in the exhibitions affect the interest and the repeat business deals and the visitors who have visited the exhibition several times are more satisfied than the visitors who have visited the exhibition for the first time. The comparative evaluation of the degree of importance of the marketing activities of the participating companies before the visitors' visit to the exhibitions and the degree of satisfaction after their visit reveals degrees of satisfaction in the order of 'the booth staff's professional knowledge of the exhibits', 'foreign language proficiency and their techniques of negotiation and demonstration', 'designs of the exhibits (colors and packaging), 'prior publicity of the participating companies. Such being the case, the companies participating in any of the overseas should maximize the result of their participation in the exhibition by training their staff in the products and foreign languages and through the prior publicity. It has also been found out that "the atmosphere of the booth in the exhibition such as 'launching of new products', 'external appearances of the booth, layout of the interior facilities and the atmosphere and events of the participating companies affect the interest and repeat business deals of the visitors, among the factors for the satisfaction of the visitors. Therefore, it has been proven that the external factors such as the external appearances of the booth, display of the products, launching of new products and events producing the atmosphere of the booth of the participating companies among the marketing activities conducted by the participating companies, and the extent of the training of the booth staff and prior publicity are the major factors affecting the interest and repeat business deals of the visitors.

관람 대화의 흐름과 상호작용의 양상에 기반한 자연사 전시관의 전시물과 관람객 간 상호작용적 학습 사례 연구 (A Case Study for Interactive Learning between Visitors and Exhibits in a Natural History Hall Focused on the Discourse Flow and the Modes of Visitors' Own Interactions)

  • 이 연구는 자연사 전시관에서 중학생들의 또래간 자유 관람 시 형성되는 전시물을 매개로 한 상호작용적 학습 과정의 사례를 조사하였다. 연구 자료로 관람객들의 상호작용이 활발했던 5건의 관람 사례를 선정하였다. 각 관람 사례에서 대화의 흐름에 근거한 관람객의 의미 구성 과정 및 전시물의 특성에 따른 관람 대화의 특징을 이해하기 위하여 관람 대화의 레지스터 분석 및 상호작용 양상 분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 전시물이 제공하는 정보는 관람객의 대화에 주제부로 반영되고, 관람객들은 주제부에 대한 정보를 설명부에 제시하여 서로 교환함으로써 전시물에 대한 주체적인 의미를 구성하였다. 한편, 전시 패널에 의문형의 문장을 사용하여 관람객의 논증을 유도하거나, 유사한 전시물들이 함께 제시되어 관람객에게 전시물 간의 비교를 유발하는 방식으로 관람객들의 의미 형성을 촉진하였다. 전시물을 매개로 한 관람객 간의 상호작용 양상의 특징을 보면, 관람객들의 의미 구성 과정에서 전시물에 대한 관람객의 의견뿐만 아니라 전시물이 가진 '정보' 자체도 의미를 구성하기 위한 심층인지적인 사회적 상호작용의 요소로 빈번하게 사용되어 관람 대화에서 정보의 구조가 상호작용 양상에 중요함을 알 수 있었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 자연사 전시관에서 관람객의 협력적인 과학 학습을 발전시키기 위해서 관람객들이 전시물의 정보를 선택하여 관람 담화로 구성하는 양상을 자세히 이해하는 것이 중요함을 논의하였다.

The Relationship Between Visitors' Environmental Attitudes and Their Recreational Motivations: A Case Study in a Korean National Park

  • This study examines the relationships between visitors' environmental attitudes as measured by the new environmental paradigm (NEP) and their recreational motivations based on data collected from a national park in South Korea. The data analysis indicated that visitors' environmental attitudes and motivation were multi-dimensional structures. The NEP composed of three factors named 'Humans over Nature', 'Balance of Nature', and Limit to Growth'. Visitors' motivation also composed of four factors representing 'Achievement and Stimulation', 'Escape and Enjoying Nature', 'Social and Leadership', and 'Family'. However, there were significant correlations among the factors, suggesting they were independent each other. There were also significant differences in visitors' motivation due to their level of environmental attitudes.

  • The goal of this study was to contemplate the impact of visual formative elements on the satisfaction level of visitors in websites of toy-style products. To attain the goal, the visual element of motion graphics in websites of toy-style products, i. e., color, layout, illustration, and, typography, were independent variables and the satisfaction level of visitors as a dependent variable. The variables were analyzed objectively. First, it appeared that visual formative elements of motion graphics appeared in websites of toy-style products exerted statistically significant impacts on the satisfaction level of visitors. Second, the element exerting the most significant impact on the satisfaction level of visitors among the visual formative elements in websites of toy-style products were appeared as 'illustration' and 'color'. Thus, it was concluded that it is necessary to give priority in 'illustration' and 'color' to enhance the satisfaction level of visitors.

무등산국립공원 서석대 정상부의 탐방패턴 분석 (The Analysis of Visiting Patterns for the Top of Seoseokdae in Mudeungsan National Park)

  • 탐방객이 집중화되는 무등산국립공원 서석대 정상부의 탐방객수와 탐방패턴 행태를 분석해 탐방객 관리방안을 제시하고자 했다. 서석대 집중화에 영향을 주는 무등산국립공원의 연간 탐방객수와 지역 계절별 입장객수는 자동계수기 데이터로 분석되었다. 서석대의 계절 시기별 탐방객수와 행태는 현지조사가 이루어졌다. 2015년도 탐방객은 2,563,651명이었고, 83.9%의 탐방객이 광주광역시에서 가까운 증심사 원효사지구로 방문했다. 이곳에서 서석대일대까지는 가깝고 쉽게 산행가능해 서석대를 찾는 대부분의 탐방객들이 증심사 원효사지구를 통해 들어왔다. 계절별 탐방객은 가을, 여름, 봄, 겨울 순으로 약간 많았지만 계절별 큰 차이가 없었다. 탐방객수와 기상요인사이에는 유의미한 상관관계가 없었다. 무등산을 많이 찾는 광주시민들이 특정시기와 날씨에 상관없이 자주 찾기 때문일 것이다. 서석대로 출입하는 탐방로는 원효사 장불재 탐방로인데 가을 겨울철에는 장불재탐방로의 탐방객이 약간 많았으나 여름철에는 원효사탐방로가 더 많았다. 탐방거점지역인 장불재에서 서석대로 유입되는 탐방객이 통상 많으나 원효사탐방로는 나무그늘 아래로 산행할 수 있어 여름철의 탐방객이 약간 많았을 것이다. 여름철에는 서석대에서 탐방객의 체류시간이 짧고 혼잡도가 낮았다. 반면 가을 겨울철에는 이곳에서의 점심식사와 휴식으로 체류시간이 길었다. 이때 순간최대 탐방객수가 최대가 되어 극도로 혼잡해져 지정장소 밖의 억새초지에 들어가는 탐방행태를 보였다. 이런 행위는 서석대 정상부의 억새초지 훼손과 더불어 토양침식을 일으킬 수 있으니 집중적인 탐방객 관리가 필요할 것이다.
