In this paper, we propose and test the efficacy of an easy-to-use user location certification system for public places that relies on frequencies outside the audible range for humans. The inaudible frequencies come in signal frequency between 18-20 kHz and are generated by general audio speaker. After an individual's smart device detects the signal frequency, it sends the frequency value, user's personal ID, and user's location to a system server that certifies the user's visit location currently. The system server then saves a user visit record and categorizes it by individual. To show the usefulness of this proposed system, we developed a user visit certification application for smart devices linked to a system server. We then conducted a user visit certification experiment using the proposed system, with the result showing 99.6% accuracy. For a comparison, we then held a user visit certification experiment using a QR code, which confirmed that our proposed system performs better than QR code location certification. This proposed system can thus provide restaurants and other facilities reliable user contact tracing and electronic visitor access lists in the age of COVID-19.
Purpose: South Korea is one of the markets where diverse and innovative cuisines are being tried. Therefore, the expectations for Michelin star restaurants in South Korea are high. The expected value of a Michelin star restaurant consists of both hedonic and utilitarian aspects of the dining experience. These consumer expectations affect visit intention. Research design, data, and methodology: The survey period was from October 10, 2023 to October 18, 2023, and 302 copies were used for hypothesis verification. Result: Hedonic expected value was found to have a significant positive influence on short-term and long-term visit intention, but had no significant effect on mid-term visit intention. Utilitarian expected value was found to have a significant positive influence on short-term and mid-term visit intention, but did not appear to have a significant effect on long-term visit intentions. Short-term visit intention was found to have a significant positive influence on mid-term visit intention, and mid-term visit intention was found to have a significant positive influence on long-term visit intention. Conclusions: The theoretical implications are restaurants need to utilize third-party certification, such as the Michelin Guide. The practical implication is that Michelin star restaurants should provide expected value to increase short-term visit intention.
The Korean wave refers to the spread of Korean popular culture from China to all over the world. The Korean wave has been improving the national image and creating a new brand value for Korea as a symbolic soft power. Its spread has been operating as a kind of energy that is fueling national competition. The Korean wave creates a new type of tour and increases tourists' intention to visit special places revealed indirectly through mass media. People can vary highly in terms of awareness, attitude and behavioral pattern according to the degree of care for and interest in something. This is called involvement. Three hypotheses were established to study the effect of the Korean wave in terms of involvement. First of all, it confirms whether the Korean wave involvement affects national image and image as a tourist destination. Second, it confirms whether national image affects Korea's image as a tourist destination. Third, it confirms whether the Korean wave involvement affects intention to visit Korea. The certification results of these hypotheses confirm that the Korean wave affects national image, Korea's image as a tourist destination, and intention to visit Korea. The national image also partly affects its image as a tourist destination.

In this study, the systems and standards for temporary equipment and materials established in domestic and foreign countries are examined to provide improvement schemes and to insure their safety. Statistical analyses of the data obtained from the internet and/or field visit surveys of employees working in manufacturing, leasing, and construction companies related to temporary equipment and materials and improvement schemes were conducted to evaluate the implementation of a safety certification system for currently used temporary equipment and materials. This safety certification system has been enforced since 2009, but the number of accidents at construction sites, which are reported by the 'serious accident cases and measures in construction sites' group of the Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency (KOSHA), has increased. The respondents' answers regarding the suitability of the items, which are required for the safety certification of the equipment and materials, were 'yes (36%)', 'no (30%)', and 'unknown (35%)'. Less than half of the answers regarding the current system were positive and most of the respondents answered that the current system does not reflect the evolution of the construction environment. A system is needed to approve items certified in foreign countries and newly developed materials and items, in addition to the (automatic) registration for the reuse of temporary equipment and materials, and improvements are needed in their safety. In this study, after examining the size and practicability of the items requiring approval from the current system, the certification methods are reevaluated and improvement schemes are provided for the system.

Purpose: In EU, the animal welfare regulations are strengthening. Also, in Korea, for strengthening of animal protection laws, animal welfare farm certification scheme is being prepared to enforce. To get the certification of animal welfare farm, especially for sows, individual specific feeding in sow group is necessary in accordance with the animal welfare regulation. Also, liquid feeding is reported to be more effective for farrowing as well as dry sow. Therefore, in this study, a electronic liquid sow feeder using RFID which could be fed to farrowing sow simultaneously is developed. Methods : We manufactured a prototype of appropriate elements which were evaluated in the preliminary test for selecting RFID tag, supply pump, mixing type, etc. With the prototype, the performance test for liquid feeding gilt was done in group raising training barn. Results : The performance test result shows the C.V.(coefficient of variation) of liquid mixing and feeding is 0.77~1.97% and 2.4~5.3%, respectively, which means the system could feed sows uniformly. The feeding time of pneumatically activated ball valve is 2 seconds per 0.9 kg of liquid feed. The eating time for gilt were 65 seconds in average. Conclusions : The prototype could feed sow uniformly, and deliver the liquid feed 9 times for a sow continuously. Also, total eating time for a sow was 18 minutes in one visit to the prototype of feeding station.
This paper has the objectives to define the concept of 'Good Care' which is the service goal we are aiming essentially for the improvement of long-term care service quality, to find out the components for 'Good Care', and to explore the conditions that create a good care. In addition, we tried to find the answer about what is the best way to measure the service quality. For this, I referred the advanced researches which explored the fundamental properties of care and tried to find the answer from the accumulated wisdom of service field through the 5-year long term care service experience. As a result of research, the good care can be defined as helping someone to be able to maintain his own life as maximum as possible with the goal to assure total quality life. The most important condition for good care is making 'a good care relationship'. Without damaging the relationship between care provider and care receiver, the individualized service focusing on the demand of care receiver based on mutual reliability, mutual respect and smooth communication should be provided. For the evaluation system, it is reasonable to set the standard according to the size of each institution for the core quality of facility service and establish the certification system of absolute standard to carry out the quantitative evaluation rather than the relative evaluation in the whole. For the part over the absolute certification standard, it is reasonable for each institution to characterize its own characteristics autonomously and carry out the qualitative evaluation for this. For the evaluation of home visit care service, it is recommended to contain the evaluation contents such as user satisfaction, satisfaction of care worker, how well the case management system of home care service center is operated etc.

Purpose Patients should have a regular medical check-up, the cost direct and indirect medical expenses to check the results, and revisit the hospital. Some of patients often want to use the telephone for a medical consultation, Method The subjects participating in this study were a selection 485 patients who received outpatient service in Asan Medical Center and Gangbuk Samsung Hospital. The patients's favorite method for medical check-up, time, cost, fatigue, and inconvenience, in regard with the revisit to check the examination results, were researched and analyzed on identical questionnaires about them. Results The average transportation, food expenses and opportunity costs the subjects spent was 90,400 for those from the Seoul and Gyunggi area, and 269,800 from other area. And the average required time per visit was 4.13 hours for those from the Seoul and Gyunggi area, 11.84 hours from other areas, and averagely 7.72 hours for all the subjects. More than 75% of the subjects answered that they felt tired and their work was interrupted. The subjects from both areas preferred the check by phone. Conclusion If the scope of telephone medical consultation is defined and the doctor-patient certification is possible, it can be thought as an efficient alternative of the medical check-up by revisit. It is necessary to discuss an appropriate amount of the medical check-up by phone which the same cost and effort can be allocated in.
This study aims to understand college students customer's preference and the difference of coffee grade by comparing the result of Q-grader, who was trained professionally and received certification for a sensory evaluation of coffee grade. The results of the chemical analysis of raw coffee and coffee berry show that those of specialty grade had slightly higher, but not significant, water content. Further, the pH of specialty grade coffee was high in coffee beans and after roasting, the commercial grade became high. There was no significant difference between the specialty degree and commercial degree in color before and after roasting. In this study, the panels for the sensory evaluation included 24 university students. The preference of evaluation items of sensory evaluation consist of aroma, acidity, bitterness, astringency, aftertaste, and overall satisfaction. Items for the strength evaluation consist of aroma, acidity and bitterness. The sensory evaluation was expressed by applying a 5 point Likert scale (1: extremely low~5: extremely high). In the sensory evaluation, it was evaluated that specialty grade coffee had strong acidity and commercial grade coffee was strongly bitter. The result of the sensory evaluation shows that female students are sensitive to coffee taste. In the analysis of frequent visit to coffee shop, the not-frequently-use-group rated that specialty grade coffee with higher overall satisfaction than commercial grade coffee in factors such as aroma and acidity. The group which did not prefer Americano coffee rated that specialty grade was higher than commercial grade in all factors except aroma, of which the result is similar to the cupping test.
The purpose of this study is to do the subjective research on how the designation of reasonable price restaurants has an influence on customers' visits to those places and to find out how much the government support policy affects the customers. For these, researchers chose and conducted Q methodology known as Q sort for the analysis of the subjective views of customers to visit the restaurants with a designated resonable price. The analysis work will be conducted in the way that the respondents sort the statement cards. In this process, P samples will be chosen among the statements written by Q target population. Q-sort produced among classified samples is going to be analyzed through Q factor analysis using PC QUANL program. The results can be summarized as follows. customers divide into 4 types. Firstly, type 1 (N=5) is the people who pursue the quantity on value for money. Secondly, type 2 customers (N=2) prefer foods with good taste on value for money. Thirdly, type 3 ones (N=2) put a great value on cleanliness. Finally, type 4 ones (N=1) pursue foods with certification mark. The result shows that each has the unique features, respectively. Each subjective opinion derived from the research looks forward to becoming the foundation for further and various study and being applied to restaurants support policy that the government leads to.
The purpose of this research is to derive a checklist for the site evaluation of Slow City, and through the excellent cases of Slow City, carry out field investigation to understand the construction characteristics of Slow City in the concept of locality. The subjects of this research are five cases of slow cities in South Korea certified by Citta Slow. Through literature review, combining with the construction characteristics of locality and the evaluation elements of Slow City certification, the checklist of Slow City locality evaluation has been obtained, and the field visit evaluation has been carried out. The change characteristics and construction characteristics are evaluated by the cases. The results are as follows.Through case analysis, it is found that the site-based construction features of Slow City are as follows: Through the introduction of the basic concept of Slow City to create the relevant place environment, and build the overall site of Slow City based on it.The location of Slow City was evaluated as historical·cultural assets>environmental assets>physical assets>living resources, emotional·symbolic assets>social assets.In addition, the level of environmental assets, historical·cultural assets is higher, but the level of living resources, social assets and emotional·symbolic assets is lower. This means that it is necessary to carry out community activities for local residents or use projects to improve regional pride and so on.
