  • Recently, VR and AR are emerging as an area of interest in ICT. In virtual reality to feel like a real, many people are looking for them because of its charm. However, the motion of the VR image and the moving object are not synchronized exactly, and a problem of feeling nausea is also occurring. The problem should be solved by the application of Attraction in the VR system. In this paper, we propose a module that minimizes delay time by synchronizing movement of VR image and moving object. The proposed module calculates the moving distance using the direction and the acceleration sensor that the user views through the VR device. The module proposed in this paper will pay attention to the fact that the movement of the attraction moves along a fixed path, so that the accurate travel distance can be calculated.

  • In this paper, we propose a resolution enhancement method for estimating direction-of-arrival(DOA) of narrowband incoherent signals incident on a general array. The resolution of DOA algorithm is dependent on the aperture size of antenna array. But it is very impractical to increase the physical size of antenna array in real environment. We propose the method that improves resolution performance by virtually expanding the sensor spacing of original antenna array and then averaging the spatial spectrum of each virtual array which has a different aperture size. Superior resolution capabilities achieved with this method are shown by simulation results in comparison with the standard MUSIC for incoherent signals incident on a uniform circular array.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to reduce the difference in image characteristics when multiple camera images are captured for virtual space production. Sixty-four images were used by cross-mounting eight bodies and lenses, respectively. Image analysis compares and analyzes the standard deviation of the histogram and pixel distribution values. As a result of the analysis, it shows different image characteristics depending on the lens or image sensor, though it is a camera of the same model. In this paper, we have adjusted the distribution of the overall brightness value of the image to compensate for this difference. As a result, the average deviation was the maximum of (Indoor: 6.89, outdoor: 24.23), we obtained images with almost no deviation (Indoor: maximum 0.42, outdoor: maximum: 2.73). In the future, we will study and apply more accurate image analysis methods than image brightness distribution.

  • In this paper, we proposed an image shaking index to evaluate the remote controllability of vision based unmanned vehicles. To analyze the usefulness of the proposed image-shaking index, we perform subjective tests using a virtual unmanned vehicle driving simulator. The developed driving simulator consists of a real-time multibody dynamic software of the unmanned vehicle, a motion simulator, and a driver console. We perform dynamic simulations to obtain the motion of the unmanned vehicle running on the various road surfaces such as ISO roughness level A~E roads. The motion of the vehicle body is reflected in the motion simulator. Then, to enable remote control operation, we offer to operators the image data that was measured using the camera sensor on the simulator. We verify the usefulness of the proposed image-shaking index compared with subjective index provided by operators.

  • Recently, the application fields of augmented reality(AR) are rapidly increasing, and related contents are also increasing in demand. In this way, object-based marker recognition is required for service of AR contents in mobile environment. At this time, in order to provide information corresponding to the marker, a technique of generating and servicing a virtual object corresponding to a specific marker is used. However, when a virtual object corresponding to a marker is held on the AR screen, a phenomenon occurs that an object of the marker unstably shakes due to various reasons such as camera shake and camera movement. As described above, the AR service based on the mobile device has a problem that it is difficult to represent objects stably. In this paper, we propose a stable marker recognition and tracking technique by applying the filtering technique according to the physical state change of the device when recognizing fixed markers in mobile AR environment.

  • In the current age of the information oriented society in which we live, many people use PCs and are dependant on the databases provided by the network server. However, online data can be missed during the occurrence of a blackout and furthermore, power failure can greatly effect Power Quality. This has resulted in the trend of using interruption-free live-line work when trouble occurs in a power system. However, 83% of the population receives an electric shock experience when a laborer is performing interruption-free live-line work. In the interruption-free method, education and training problems have been pinpointed. However, there are few instructors to implement the necessary training. Furthermore, the trainees undergo only a short training period of just 4 weeks. In this paper, to develop a method with no restrictions on time and place and to ensure a reduction in the misuse of materials, immersion type virtual reality (or environment) technology is used. The users of a 3D immersion type VR training system can interact with the system by performing the equivalent action in a safe environment. Thus, it can be valuable to apply this training system to such dangerous work as 'Interruption-free live-line work exchanging COS (Cut-Out-Switch)'. In this program, the user carries out work according to instructions displayed through the window and speaker and cannot perform other tasks until each part of the task is completed in the proper sequence. The workers using this system can utilize their hands and viewpoint movement since they are in a real environment but the trainee cannot use all parts and senses of a real body with the current VR technology. Despite these weak points, when we consider the trends of improvement in electrical devices and communication technology, we can say that 3D graphic VR application has high potentiality.

  • A few years ago, for maintaining high stability and production yield of production equipment in a semiconductor fab, on-line monitoring of wafers is required, so that semiconductor manufacturers are investigating a software based process controlling scheme known as virtual metrology (VM). As semiconductor technology develops, the cost of fabrication tool/facility has reached its budget limit, and reducing metrology cost can obviously help to keep semiconductor manufacturing cost. By virtue of prediction, VM enables wafer-level control (or even down to site level), reduces within-lot variability, and increases process capability, $C_{pk}$. In this research, we have practiced VM on $SiO_2$ etch rate with optical emission spectroscopy(OES) data acquired in-situ while the process parameters are simultaneously correlated. To build process model of $SiO_2$ via, we first performed a series of etch runs according to the statistically designed experiment, called design of experiments (DOE). OES data are automatically logged with etch rate, and some OES spectra that correlated with $SiO_2$ etch rate is selected. Once the feature of OES data is selected, the preprocessed OES spectra is then used for in-situ sensor based VM modeling. ICP-RIE using 葰.56MHz, manufactured by Plasmart, Ltd. is employed in this experiment, and single fiber-optic attached for in-situ OES data acquisition. Before applying statistical feature selection, empirical feature selection of OES data is initially performed in order not to fall in a statistical misleading, which causes from random noise or large variation of insignificantly correlated responses with process itself. The accuracy of the proposed VM is still need to be developed in order to successfully replace the existing metrology, but it is no doubt that VM can support engineering decision of "go or not go" in the consecutive processing step.

  • In this paper, we propose a reversely using the "Man In The Middle Attack" attack technique as a way to introduce network security without changing the physical structure and configuration of the existing network, a Virtual Network Overlay is formed with only a single Ethernet Interface. Implementing In-line mode to protect the network from external attacks, we propose an integrated control method through a micro network security sensor and cloud service. As a result of the experiment, it was possible to implement a logical In-line mode by forming a Virtual Network Overlay with only a single Ethernet Interface, and to implement Network IDS/IPS, Anti-Virus, Network Access Control, Firewall, etc.,. It was possible to perform integrated monitor and control in the service. The proposed system in this paper is helpful for small and medium-sized enterprises that expect high-performance network security at low cost, and can provide a network security environment with safety and reliability in the field of IoT and embedded systems.

  • Augmented reality systems are widely used in the fields of entertainment, shopping, education, and training, and the augmented reality technology is gradually increasing in importance. When augmented reality technology is used for education or training, it must be possible to represent different virtual objects depending on the work stage even for the same marker. Also, since the training content varies depending on the situation, it is necessary to describe it using a training scenario. In order to solve this problem, we propose a scenario markup language for an augmented reality system that can create training content based on a scenario and connect it with an augmented reality system. The scenario markup language for augmented reality provides functions such as a method for connecting a scene, a marker and a virtual object, a method for grasping the state of equipment or sensor value, and a method for moving a scene according to conditions. The augmented reality scenario markup language can flexibly increase the usefulness and expandability of the augmented reality system usage method and content usage.
