  • According to the activation of the fashion electronic commerce, this research investigated the merits and demerits and improvement plan of the 3D virtual try-on technology using the qualitative research method. This research was performed by interview with 70 evaluation group. The evaluation group of 3D virtual try-on was organized and the fit evaluation process by 3D human body scan and the 3D virtual try-on of the i-Fashion technology center were experienced. This study was performed by interview after the actual and virtual try-on about the casual shirt. The convenience and accuracy of measurement, usability in online shopping, body evaluation, complement of sizing system, and body shape management were discovered as merits. The requirement of high accuracy in sizing and avatar, limits of fabric expression, practical limitation by cost, vexatious of measurement garment, differences between real and virtual fittings, personal information leakage risk, and etc were pointed out as demerits. The mass customization, customized garment connected with medical service, humanized avatar, improved fitting report, entertainment, coordination, wardrobe manager were proposed as improvement plan.

  • The virtual try-on technologies of the current level have limitations with material expression as well as some difficulties with commercialization. There are differences in simulation results and subjective evaluations perceived by consumers according to the types and physical characteristics of materials used in virtual try-on simulations. This study were to analyze the exterior clothing shapes and visual images from 3D virtual try-on simulations with materials whose drapability was differentiated and then test the accuracy of the expression of the drapability of the materials. The study carried out 3D virtual try-on simulations by selecting flared skirts as an item to best express differences in drapability along with five materials of different physical properties and offered some basic data for greater utilization of virtual try-on simulations by comparing and analyzing them with the exterior shapes and visual images of actual flared skirts. The analysis results of hemline shapes between actual and virtual try-on according to the types of materials showed no match among the quantitative items of exterior shapes factors. There were no significant differences in the visual images except for "soft" according to the simulation methods, which means that the items can serve as part of a scale for visual image comparison. It is necessary to reflect quantitative numbers regarding "drapability" proposed in the study simulation software and to continue to build a systematic database for virtual simulations by investigating and testing various materials.

  • Three-Dimensional finite element analysis is performed using PAM-STAMP for design evaluation of automotive back door inner panel die. Gravity process by blanks own weight, binder-wrap process, and drawing process in the forming operations are sequentially simulated with Virtual Manufacturing Method. The most valuable result in this research is that 3-D FEM analysis can be applied to the design evaluation of draw die in the die try-out, though effects of mesh size and drawbead resistance force on the numerical accuracy are much sensitive. For the intensive application to draw-die design and try-out, the experimental know-hows about the forming variables such as friction coefficient, punch velocity, drawbead force, etc are necessary.

  • Sheet metal forming has some merits that are less loss of materials in process, less time-consuming and it makes mass product possible. The product produced by sheet metal forming process has high strength compared to the weight and better surface characteristics. Therefore, sheet metal forming process is a lot used in automobiles, aircrafts, electronics and appliances. This paper made the process design for forming Bracket Front Back Frame Lower, determined the blank shape and size using PAM-STAMP, commercial software and evaluated formability. It has been proved that the optimal blank through the result forming analysis has advantage in terms of formability and spring back compared to the rectangular blank.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the pattern of safety clothes used at flat or mountainous areas and to identify the pattern of safety clothes by conducting experimental evaluation of virtual wear. Three subjects were selected, based on fire fighters' physical constitution. A prototype design for safety clothing was determined after in-depth interviewing of professionals and surveying of Forest service staff and related agency. Wearing test should be carried out in the order of pattern making, virtual and real wearing evaluation. For data analysis, technical statistical values should be obtained by using body measurements of subject, frequency analysis and T-test. The jacket is designed to have a front extension and the entire length of clothing enough for wearer to put on it over ordinary shirts or sweater. The collar of jacket is of round type. Cyber reality enables to identify the movement and activity of virtual fitting model and to find out errors or problems in safety clothing prior to on-the-spot wear test, thus raising the precision level of pattern. There was significant difference between real and virtual fit preference. The results show that the virtual try-on system need the development of a specific style.

  • Purpose Since the Bitcoin, which was the first virtual currency, was made at 2009, almost 1,000 virtual currencies appeared onstage in the world. Even though virtual currencies have the function of money as a medium of exchange or contract, any of those has not yet entered the commercialization stage. Instead, some of the virtual currencies show the nature of investment assets. In the case of virtual money investment, users tend to use all the information of the world because information transfer is very easy and capital movement is almost free between different countries. In addition, as the transaction sizes of virtual currencies increase, a virtual currency price is no longer independent and is likely to be affected by the prices of other virtual currencies. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the influence among virtual currency markets, which helps successful implementation of investment strategies. Design/methodology/approach This study focuses on the investment product function of virtual money and conducts the analysis using the time series model used in the financial and economic areas. In this paper, we try to analyze the return and volatility transfer effect of virtual money markets through GJR-GARCH model. Findings This study is expected to find out whether we can make market forecasts through reflecting changes in other markets. In addition, we can reduce the trial and error of user decision making by using the information on the yield and volatility transition effect derived from the research results, and it is expected to reduce the opportunity cost of users.

  • Virtual Reality contents are being used as media in various fields. In order for the virtual reality contents to be realistic, the scale of the objects in the virtual reality must be the same as the actual size, and the user must feel the same size. However, even if the size of the character in the virtual reality space is made equal to the size in comparison with the size of the character in the reality, the distortion of the size can occur when the user looks at the object in the image with the HMD. In this paper, I investigate the requirements related to size in virtual reality, and try to find out what difference these requirements have in virtual reality and how the difference affects users. Experiments and surveys to compare the size of objects in virtual reality space and the size of objects in real space were conducted to investigate how scale distortion occurs at distant and near places. I hope that this paper will be a useful research for virtual reality developers.

  • More and more cyber shopping malls, one of the new promising Internet businesses of today, are opening business everyday. And instead of the ordinary image and text type of product display, buyers can now view products from any viewpoint through 3D images and also get more detail information on the product more easily thanks to the new VP technology, visual tools, and statecharts. However the currently used virtual prototyping supporting method does not consist of any database support for sharing the data from different virtual prototype developments and reusing the data in developing other prototypes. And in cases of custom order products, there is no linkage with the virtual product database that enables buyers in cyberspace such as cybermalls to try out the products before purchasing. This paper is purported for being applied as the basis for planning the construction of a complete CRM method applied cyber shopping mall that can accommodata all the demands and requests from customers. And the database supporting VP framework that supports data sharing and collaboration between virtual prototype developers and manufacturing custom order products is suggested for this purpose.
