  • Recently, with the development of virtual and augmented reality technology, metaverse is emerging as a new paradigm that will lead the next-generation internet era, and social and economic activities are spreading around the game, entertainment, music, and content industries. Moreover, as non-face-to-face conversion accelerated after the outbreak of COVID-19, lifestyles and industrial sites are becoming untact and further rapidly becoming a metaverse. In particular, the application of metaverse to the education field is attracting attention because realistic classes using real-time voice conversations using avatars, 3D objects, and 360-degree images can increase immersion and overcome the limitations of distance education. This study examines the concept of metaverse and examines that education using metaverse can be an alternative that can increase the efficiency of education in the non-face-to-face era. In particular, it shows that it is effective in language education and suggests an actual metaverse-based Korea language education program.

  • The W-band (75-110GHz) is a band that can utilize at least 10 times more bandwidth than the existing 5G band. Therefore, it is one of the bands suitable for future mobile communication that requires high speed and low latency, such as virtual and augmented reality. However, since the wavelength is short, it has a high path loss and is very sensitive to the atmospheric environment. Therefore, in order to develop a W-band communication system in the future, it is necessary to analyze the characteristics of path loss according to the channel environment. In this paper, to analyze the characteristics of the W-band path loss, the random forest technique was used, and the influence of the channel parameters according to the distance section was analyzed through the path loss data according to various channel environment parameters. As a result of the simulation, the distance has the highest influence on the path loss in the short distance, and the other channel environment factor is almost ignored. However, as the distance section became longer, the influence of distance decreased while the impact of clutter and rainfall increased.

  • Recently, the use of floating hologram has increased in many different aspects, such as exhibitions, education, advertisements, and so on. Especially, the floating hologram that makes use of half-mirror is widely used. Nevertheless, half-mirror, unfortunately, cannot lead users to the perfect three dimensional hologram experience. Even though it can make the vision look to be up on the air, it does not have the capacity to display itself up on the air, which is the ultimate goal of hologram. In addition, it looks inconsistent when a real object is located behind the half-mirror in order to show the convergence of the two (object and the half-mirror). In this paper, we did the study on comparison of 3D space perception for the stereoscopic AR holography. At first, we applied stereoscopic technology to the half-mirror hologram system for the accurate and realistic AR environment. Then, the users can feel as if the real 3D object behind half-mirror and the reflected virtual image are converged much better in the 3D space. Furthermore, by using depth camera, the location and direction of graphics can be controlled to change depending on the user's point of view. This is the effective way to produce augmented stereoscopic images simply and accurately through half-mirror film without any additional devices. What we saw from the user test were applying 3D images and user interaction leads the users to have 3D spatial awareness and realism more effectively and accurately.

  • Purpose - As the scope of existing digital transformation expanded to various degrees, the Fourth Industrial Revolution came into being. In 2016, Klaus Schwab, Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), said that the new technologies that lead the fourth industrial revolution are AI, Block chain, IoT, Big Data, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality. This technology is expected to be a full-fledged fusion of digital, biological and physical boundaries. Everything in the world is connected to the online network, and the trend of 'block chain' technology is getting attention because it is a core technology for realizing a super connective society. If the block chain is commercialized at the World Knowledge Forum (WKF), it will be a platform that can be applied to the entire industry. The block chain is rapidly evolving around the financial sector, and the impact of block chains on logistics, medical services, and public services has increased beyond the financial sector. Research design, data, and methodology - Figure analysis of data and social science analytical software of IBM SPSS AMOS 23.0 and IBM Statistics 23.0 were used for all the data researched. Data were collected from hotel employees in China from 25th March to 10th May. Results - The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the block chain characteristics of the existing hotel reservation system on the intention to use and to examine the influence of the block chain characteristics of the hotel reservation system on the intention to use, We rearranged the variables having the same or similar meaning and analyzed the effect of these factors on the intention to use the block chain characteristic of the hotel reservation system. 339 questionnaires were used for analysis. Conclusions - There are only sample hotel workers in this study, and their ages are in their 20s and 30s. In future studies, samples should be constructed in various layers and studied. • As the distribution of 3D content such as augmented reality and virtual reality increases, the importance of real-time computer animation technology is increasing. However, the computer animation process consists mostly of manual or marker-attaching motion capture, which requires a very long time for experienced professionals to obtain realistic images. To solve these problems, animation production systems and algorithms based on deep learning model and sensors have recently emerged. Thus, in this paper, we study four methods of implementing natural human movement in deep learning model and kinect camera-based animation production systems. Each method is chosen considering its environmental characteristics and accuracy. The first method uses a Kinect camera. The second method uses a Kinect camera and a calibration algorithm. The third method uses deep learning model. The fourth method uses deep learning model and kinect. Experiments with the proposed method showed that the fourth method of deep learning model and using the Kinect simultaneously showed the best results compared to other methods.
