This paper aimed to explore research trends for the conceptualization of IT humanities. Reflecting domestic and international references which focused on the possibility of the integration of digital technology and humanities, the authors examined the beginning, background, and relevant concepts of IT humanities to figure out the meaning and the research trends. In addition, using the search word "IT humanities," the authors analyzed network topics of the keywords retrieved from 1,566 KCI and 64 SCI journal articles published since 2001. The concept of IT humanities in the previous studies has tended to associate with competencies that allow considering various fields of IT based on the lens of humanities perspectives. The result of the topic modeling revealed four groups as fields to be integrated with IT humanities, methods of implementation, connections of literature or culture, and creations of IT humanities. Instead of instrumentalization or merger by one stance of IT or humanities, it is imperative to collaboratively work for the generation of a new viewpoint through mutual respect of disciplines.

Lighting in indoor space is being changed to system lighting converged with IT technology. Office space lighting with incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps was completed through overall lighting plan by illumination in most cases, but convergence between LED lighting and IT technology enables the technology of responding to user requirements to be realized. Optical physical quantity suitable for humans and the lighting environment in accordance with user's sensibility, based on space function and user's behavior, would contribute to the improvement of service productivity, energy reduction, and enhancement of emotional satisfaction by providing user optimized lighting solution. Thus, user-customized system lighting guidelines to be applied with integration indicators of optics and sensibility are required. For the design elements required by users, environmental factors, product characteristics, optical characteristics, and sensibility factors are drawn from the design cases for office space and the survey, and the design check list and evaluation indicators are considered to reflect the requirements in the design and requirement indicators to give integrated satisfaction for optics and sensibility are developed. Purpose-centered design method from the user's viewpoint is applied to function-focused design through scenario, and it should be applied flexibly, as the new lightning design method solutions, to the concept design stage of space lighting design and device development. This paper, therefore, presents user-customized guidelines by pursuing the optics and sensibility evaluation and design method combining the requirement conditions and scenario, to be used for lighting content development and design.

Yeoncheon Hong Seok-joo(淵泉 洪奭周: 1774-1842) faithfully followed a policy of restoration of literary style of king Jeongjo. He was an young vassal after 1794 and influenced by Jeongjo because Yeoncheon was around the king. Furthermore, he had comparatively favorable working period as a vassal(仕宦期, 1795-1836) after death of Jeongjo(1800) while establishing his own academic viewpoint. Therefore, a study about art theory of Yeoncheon Hong Seok-joo is one about logical system to accept various desires for change of then while not getting rid of scope of Neo-Confucianism after Jeongjo. It is catched that exchange of Hong Seok-joo and Jeong Yak-yong was made relating to study of Sangseo. Hong Seok-joo and Jeong Yak-yong absorbed in study of Sangseo, which is come from putting importance on 6 scriptures (經) among studies of scriptures by both of them. Through this, they aimed to re-discover ideology of original Confucian studies as one for cultivating oneself and governing people (修己治人之學). Dasan and Yeoncheon have something in common that they were young vassals who were cultivated as a guarding power for Jeongjo centered on Gyujanggak. They were largely fit to view of literature(文體觀) of Jeongjo. Hong Seok-joo distinguished function of prose(文) and poetry(詩) into teaching moral(明敎) and moving people(感人) in the category of Mun-yi-jae-do(文以載道) based on thoughts of 'literature is linguistic device for Taoism '(道本文末)' which is a core concept of literature theory based on Neo-Confucianism. He gave a careful attention on instructional and social function in prose while on emotional understanding that puts importance on temper and the secrets of nature in poetry. Hong Seok-joo regarded moral impression and edification through this as a core of artistic creation based on Segyoseol(世敎說). Furthermore, expressions such as 'Heunggwangunwon(興觀群怨)' or 'Yeohangguyo(閭巷謳謠) which are mentioned as important elements in his artistic works put importance on actual existence of objective things in artistic activity and this is connected to an attitude to require description fit to fact. So, it is assumed that such expression style aimed for features of genre painting in painting arts. Understanding of the study of ancient documents by Yeoncheon developed from critical perspective. He criticized the study of ancient documents, saying it as first, Pasoijisul(破碎之術), second, Dotaekjisul(塗澤之術), third, Hoimojisul(毁侮之術). Jeong Yak-yong criticized ' theory on the Odes' from viewpoint of theory of Mun-yi-jae-do(文以載道) based on Neo-Confucianism. He stressed political and social function of Sipeon and general poetry in "the Odes" and reinterprets discourses about poetry of Zhu Xi based on his own opinion. He says that poems of national fashion do political and social criticism. The theory of national fashion by Jeong Yak-yong clearly discloses his thoughts that stress practical role of noblemen in the social and political context.

Objective : Zhao Xian-Ke(趙獻可) was a doctor in the Ming(明) Dynasty. His representing book is "Yiguan(醫貫)". It is considered as a requirement to study the Mingmen academy(命門學說). "Xuanyuanfulun(玄元膚論)", volume I of "Yiguan" intensively mentions his medical viewpoint. The study investigates Zhao's medical perspectives by studying "Xuanyuanfulun". Method : "Xuanyuanfulun" is translated. "Yiguan" published by Chinese Medicine(中國中醫藥) Publish was used as basis. "Yiguan" published by Xuexiao(學苑) Publish was used for reference. I checked and researched for several parts shown in "Suwen(素問)" and "Lingshu(靈樞)". I researched for 'Master(主)' of a human being. Result : 1. 'Master' of a human being is intangible Huo(火) in Mingmen. 2. It may be hard for me to assent to the opinion of Zhao Xian-Ke that the inferior twelve organs should be regarded as inferior eleven organs naturally. 3. Yinyang(陰陽) is to relatively cope with a situation and its wonders are within Wu(無). 4. The study emphasizes the importance of Yang, Huo and Qi(氣). 5. The study separates the date (year, month, date and time) into yin and yang and the causes of an illness are found based on the concept and its treatment shall be performed. 6. Among Wuxing(五行), Shui(水) and Huo are especially important. 7. There are intangible Shenshui(腎水) and intangible Xianghuo(相火) separately from the Shui and huo of Xinshen(心腎). Conclusion : The medical philosophy of Zhao Xian-Ke has been deeper. In addition, it will provide much help while understanding volumes 2 - 6 of "Yiguan" and apply to the clinical tests. I think it is not the problem, which is the right meaning of 'Master' in the "Xin is monarch of the organs" of "Suwen Linglanmidianlun(靈蘭秘典論)" or 'Master' that concerned by Zhao Xian-Ke, but it is just the different sight of the human being.

This paper makes a preparatory attempt to reconstruct 'the Korean Science Culture' toward which I think the Koreans should direct and orient themselves rather than describe the history of the science culture in Korea. This task requires us to define 'science culture.' So I propose, based on the definitions of science culture so far made, to consider the model of 'Humanized Science Culture' as a regulating ideal of the Korean Science Culture. To support the model, analyzing the concept of 'science literacy' of the 2061 Project, I posit the model of KDSC (Korean Designer of Science Culture) as the Koreans who will actually come to design the Korean Science Culture. KDSC refers to 'a reasonable man' who will represent a desirable Korean, rather than to a natural Korean. Then I spell out the conditions of becoming a KDSC and scrutinize the philosophical backbones of those conditions. Finally, I make a few suggestions for developing a program of designing and implementing the Korean Science Culture from the viewpoint of a model of KDSC.

Iriai an Indigenous forest management system in Japan from the viewpoint of "common pool resources" was a success resilient institution and resulted with sustainable production system and environmental conservation. This study was conducted in Osawa of the Nagano prefecture through group discussions, field observations and an in-depth field survey. Osawa Property Ward Forest is managed under the concept very much similarly to traditional "Iriai". This study firstly examined the changes of collective forest management system in terms of awareness and interest in forest management; forest management activities; role of forest; and collection of forest products. Then it analyzed the current threats for collective forest management have been identified as: land abandonment due to loss of benefits and lack of active community participation; deterioration of forest environment particularly the micro-climate and aesthetic values; conflict with local government authorities restraining the use of money in property ward forest and conflict with outsiders on damping of the garbage. Community cantered forestry management rules; livelihood contribution; protection of environment; local initiatives for protection and economic activities are the prevailing opportunities for collective forest management. The main requirements for revitalization of collective forest management are explained as local reciprocity; imposition of community based forest rules; encouraging local innovations; and building partnerships with stakeholders. Collective forest management system addresses the limitations of conventional forestry models, which had invalidated traditional 'iriai' institutions, and key to restoring sustainable use of forest and environmental resources. Cross-institutional collaborations together with responsibilities of local communities would ensure the revitalization of forest resources.

In contemporary advertising market, one of main trends is to speak surrealistic visual language which provides 'enjoyable spectacles'. Specially, in the beginning of 21st century, there discovered more and more exhibitions and discourses about surrealism reinterpreted from the viewpoint of postmodernism. Surrealism as a creative style of expression based upon free association, has been a great inspiration for fashion ads for commercial communication as well as fashion design since its origin. However, there has been ignored the idea of analyzing surrealistic image expressed in fashion ads in spite of their flood. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to grasp its cultural meaning through analyzing aesthetic characteristics of surrealistic image expressed in fashion ads. It will provide a better understanding of surrealistic image in fashion ads reflecting popular taste and preference directly as popular visual culture, focusing on post modern context. A case study of surrealistic fashion ads limits to TV or print commercials and digital ads as image ads stimulating visual expressions. The Results can be summarized as follows. Surrealism is an avant garde style which deconstructs the established meaning system as well as the existing formalistic order and then put them together in the frame of 'dream' and 'unconsciousness'. Defamiliarization questioning the whole edifice of representation can be adapted to. By means of paradox and metaphor, unfamiliar new visual world can be represented. The plastic characteristics of surrealistic image in fashion ads are founded as surrealistic styling of time and space, distortion of object by methods of automatism, depaysement, parody and trompe-l'oeil which bring about the deconstruction of gestalt. Aesthetic values of surrealistic fashion ads appear as dualistic representation, allegoric symbolism, fantastic romanticism. Ultimately they lead to marvelous. mysterious, humorous visual effects. Foster reinterpreted these effects of surrealism from Freud's 'Uncanny Concept'. 'Uncanny' means the phenomenon recurring to familiar being defamiliarized by repression. Surrealistic fashion ads strengthen this shocking effect more and more dramatically in company with our post modern needs for fantastic adventure and thrilling spectacle. It can be thought that surrealistic fashion ads reflects uncanny as an alternative which can relieve us of our stress and anxiety and which realize our potential desire in contemporary post industrial stage.

The objective of this study is to classify the conversations in Chinese textbooks into four social units (speech community, speech situation, speech event, speech act) adopted by Dell Hymes (1972), and suggest application of the results involving the conversation to the curriculum of Chinese education. Towards this end, this study assumes every conversation in the Chinese textbooks as coordination of specific speech events and acts under specific situations. This study introduces the concept of social unit adopted by Dell Hymes (1972), and elucidates their role in conversation. Thus, this study reconsiders the conversations recorded in the textbooks not from a morphological or syntactic viewpoint but from a speech perspective. Finally, this study suggests effective use of the results in the Chinese conversation classes.

This paper investigates a neuro-controller combined in parallel with a conventional linear controller of PID type in order to control nonminimum phase systems more efficiently. The objective is to minimize overall position errors as well as to maintain small undershooting. A costfunction is proposed with two conflict objectives. The neuro-controller is trained off-line with evolutionary programming(EP) in such a way that it becomes optimal by minimizing the given cost function through global evaluation based on desired control performance during the whole training time interval. However, it is not easy to find an optimal solution which satisfies individual objective simultaneously. With the concept of Pareto optimality and EP, we train the proposed controller more effectively and obtain a valuable set of optimal solutions. Simulation results show the efficacy of the proposed controller in a viewpoint of improvement of performance of a step response like fast settling time and small undershoot or overshoot compared with that of a conventional linear controller.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine ontology of digital photo image based on a Simulacre concept of Gilles Deleuze & Jean Baudrillard. Traditionally, analog image follows the logic of reproduction with a similarity with original target. Therefore, visual reality of analog image is illuminated, interpreted, and described in a subjective viewpoint, but does not deviate from the interpreted reality. However, digital image does not exist physically but exists as information that is made of mathematical data, a digital algorithm. This digital image is that newness of every reproduction, that is, essence of subject 'once existing there' does not exist anymore, and does not instruct or reproduce an outside target. Therefore, digital image does not have the similarity and does not keep the index instruction ability anymore. It means that this digital image is converted into a virtual area, and this is not reproduction of already existing but display of not existing yet. This not-being of digital image changes understanding of reality, existence, and imagination. Now, dividing it into reality and imagination itself is meaningless, and this does not make digital image with technical improvement but is a new image that is basically completely different from existing image. Eventually, digital image of the day passes step to visualize an existent target, nonexistent things have been visualized, and reality operates virtually. It means that digital image does not reproduce our reality but reproduces other reality realistically. In other words, it is a virtual reproduction producing an image that is not related to a target, that is to say Simulacre. In the virtually simulated world, reality has an infinite possibility, and it is not a picture of the past and present and has a possibility as the infinite virtual that is not fixed, is infinitely mutable, and is not actualized yet.
