Breast self-exam is easiest, safe and cost effective to be recommended as an important method for early detection of breast cancer. This experimental research with non-equal control design was to develop the efficacy expectation program for breast self-exam based on Bandura's self-efficacy information source. The study objects selected from two local churches in Busan. Twenty from S church were selected as a study group, twenty from D church as a control group. Efficacy expectation promoting program was based on Bandura's efficacy promoting source and was two hour lecture including slide, video tape, demonstration, pamphlet. After this, there were individual interviews with them and consultations through telephone f or verbal persuasion on the weekly basis between the first week and the fifth week. The effect from the experiment were measured on the first week after education and on the fifth week. Data from control group was collected during the period from Jan 11, 2 001 to Feb 15, 2001 and data from study group was collected during the period from Jan 12, 2001 to Feb 16, 2001. Measurement instrument for this study was developed by the author with the advice of specialist in order to measure self-efficacy and breast self-exam practice. Data analysis was done by using SPSS/10.0 PC program $with^2-$ test. t-test and ANCOVA. Proved results for hypothesis were as follows. 1) It was supported that "Study group educated by efficacy expectation promoting program has higher score in change rat e of self-efficacy than control group." (1 week after education F=18.395, p=.000 5 weeks after education F=28.972, p=.000) 2) It was supported that "Study group educated by efficacy expectation promoting program has higher score in change rate of exam practice than control group." (1 week after education F=37.984, p=.000 5 weeks after education F=28.972, p=.000) In conclusion, efficacy expectation promoting program for breast self-exam developed by this study may increase s elf-efficacy and breast self-exam practice.
The purpose of this study was to compare the world class women's hurdlers with kinematic variables Lee Yeon-Kyoung's in the 100m hurdle. Among korea elite female hurdler, Lee Yeon-Kyoung was participated as a subject. Eight JVC video cameras(GR-HD1KR) were used to film the performance of Lee Yeon-Kyoung at a frame rate of 60fields/s. The real-life three-dimensional coordinate data of digitized body landmarks were smoothed using a fourth order Butterworth low pass recursive digital filter with an estimated optimum cutoff frequency of 7.4Hz. After analyzing and comparing Lee Yeon Kyung's kinematic variables with the world top class hurdlers in the woman's 100m hurdle run, the following conclusions were obtained. 1. Lee should be able to increase the speed with over 5.4m/s from start to first hurdle and then maintain the speed range from 8.33m/s to 8.67m/s until 10th hurdle. Lee should have to maintain the speed with 8.51m/s from 10th hurdle to finish line. 2. Lee has to reach her maximum running speed at 5th hurdle and then has to shorten running time with 0.5sec between hurdles. 3. Lee should be able to run around 2.5sec from start to frist hurdle and then maintain under 1.00sec following phases. Lee should be able to maintain under 1.10sec from 10th hurdle to finish line. 4. Lee needs to control a consistent takeoff and landing distance pattern, Lee needs to lower the height of the center of gravity of the body with 0.33m when she clears the hurdles.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the upper body in order to increase a propulsive force in the old's walking. The subjects were each 10 males, the latter term of the aged and former term of the aged. There were three walking speeds of slow(about 5km/h), medium(about 6km/h), and maximum speed(about 7km/h). The subjects walking 11m were filmed the 5m section (from 3m to 8m) by 2-video cameras using three dimensional cinematography. And we computed different mechanical quantities and especially computed the relative momentum in order to achieve this study's aim. In this study, we was able to acquire some knowledge. The step length and step frequency increased in proportion to the walking speed, and the faster walking speed, the shorter ratio of supporting time( both legs supporting time/one step length time). When it was one leg support phase, the torso was indicated to generate the momentum in order to produce the propulsive force of walking. The upper and lower body had a cooperative relation for walking such as keeping step rate with the arms to legs and maintaining the body balance. The opposition phase for upward-and-downward direction of the torso and arms in walking was functioned to prevent the increase rapidly toward vertical direction of the center of gravity. The arms had contributed to coordinate the tempo of legs and the posture maintenance of the upper body. And by absorbing the relative momentum from the upper torso with arms to the lower torso, it had the rhythmical movement on upward-and-downward direction reducing the vertical reaction force. On account of the relations of absorption and generation of the propulsive force and the production of vertical impulse in the lower torso when walking by maximum speed, it was showed that the function of lower torso was come up as important problem for the mechanical posture stability and propulsive force coordination.
The purpose of this study was to investigate variability of kinematic factors affecting the record in women's javelin throwing. For this study, 8 female-javelin thrower participated in this experiment. The three digital video cameras (Sony, 120x) were used to record motions. Kwon3D 2.1 was used to process data and they were analyzed with Excell for factors. The sampling rate of a camera was 60Hz and shutter speed of a camera was 1/1000sec. The coordinate data were filtered using a fourth-order Butterworth low pass filtering with an estimated optimum cut-off frequency of 6Hz. The results were as follows: 1. From cross step to landing of delivery, the average velocities of CoM of non-dominant athletes were greater than dominant athletes and those of CoM of non-dominant athletes less than dominant athletes, but at release dominant athletes had a lower average velocity and a variability than non-dominant athletes. 2. From cross step to landing of delivery, the average throwing velocities and variabilities of a javelin of dominant athletes were greater than dominant athletes, but at release, dominant athletes had a higher velocity than dominant athletes and had a equal variability. 3. At every events, a forward or backward angles and variabilities of non-dominant athletes were greater than dominant athletes. 4. From cross step to landing of delivery, dominant athletes' elbow average angles were greater than non-dominant athletes and the variabilities of latter less than non-dominant athletes, but at release dominant athletes' variabilities were smaller than non-dominant athletes. 5. At landing of delivery, dominant athletes' knee average angles and variabilities of a supporting foot were a greater than non-dominant athletes, and at release, dominant athletes' knee average angles was a greater but variabilities less than non-dominant athletes. In conclusion, the dominant threw javelins fast while having stable postures and the range of elbow's angle large.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to identify kinematic variables that govern successful performance and judges' scores and to establish correlative relationships among those of Yurchenko layout with a full twist in female vaults. Method: Four video cameras with sampling rate of 60 Hz collected 32 motion data of Yurchenko vaults from twenty-two female participants (age: $18.6{\pm}3.6years$, height: $153.0{\pm}6.5cm$, mass: $44.7{\pm}7.3kg$) during national competition. Posting processing and calculations of kinematic variables were performed in Kwon 3D XP and $Matlab^{(R)}$ programs. Correlation and regression analyses were applied to find the relationships between the obtained scores and kinematic variables. Deterministic model (Hay & Reid, 1988) was used to investigate the strength of correlative relationships among kinematic variables. Results: The obtained scores from the judges' decision were mainly affected by post-flight peak height, horse contact time, knee angle at landing, and horse takeoff angle. Strong blocking during horse contact was required to get successful performance and obtain high scores. Modified deterministic model showed that round-off entrance and takeoff angles and resultant velocity of the center of mass (CM) during the roundoff phase were the starting variables affecting performance in the following kinematics. Knee angle at landing, a highly influential variable on the obtained point, was only determined by judges' decision without significant correlative relationship with previous kinematic variables. Conclusion: The obtained scores highly depended on kinematic variables of post-flight and horse contact phases that were affected by those from the previous phases including round-off postures and resultant velocity of the body center of mass.
Background: Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is a relatively common disorder, and is characterized by episodic vertigo and nystagmus which was provoked by head motion. However, little is known about the short and long-term outcome and the prognostic factors for recurrence of BPPV. In this pilot study, we tried to identify the prognostic factors of BPPV for short-term outcome. Methods: We analyzed clinical features of 32 patients (men=21, mean $age=60.4^{\circ}{\pm}12.6y$) with BPPV that was diagnosed by typical nystagmus induced by positioning maneuver. The induced nystagmus was recorded using video-oculography (VOG). According to the semicircular canal involved, BPPV patients were classified into horizontal, posterior, or anterior canal type. Univariate analysis for age, sex, and history of vertigo, and Kaplan-Meier analysis for each canal type were performed. Results: Horizontal (n=21, 65.6%) semicircular canal type BPPV was more common than the posterior one (n=11, 34.4%). Median follow-up period was 113 day (from 34 to 216 days). Four patients with horizontal canal type BPPV had recurrent attacks. Age, history of vertigo, and days prior to diagnosis were not different between canal type. Overall recurrence rate of horizontal canal type BPPV by Kaplan-Meier estimation was 19% at 60 days (p=0.13). Conclusions: Horizontal canal type BPPV was more common and recurred more frequently than posterior canal type in the present study. However, we did not find prognostic factors for recurrence of BPPV.
The Eureka-147 Digital Audio Broadcasting(DAB) system is the new international standard for mobile broadcasting services including high-quality audio, program associated data and other multimedia data. In this paper, we design the transport frame structures for the mobile multimedia services by using the configuration of the Eureka-147 DAB multiplex and MPEG system specifications, and then compare their performances in terms of functionality and overhead. Especially, we suggest and analyze the effective transport structures, which are improved in the efficiency of media multiplexing architecture, by removing the functionally overlapped parts between DAB and MPEG systems. In addition, we evaluate the transmission environments of various DAB data channels and demonstrate the transmission error effects on the low bit rate video stream.

Hundreds of Steller sea lions, Eumetopias jubatus, migrate from Sakhalin and the northern Kuril Islands to Hokkaido in Japan every winter. During this migration, they may use their roaring sounds to navigate and to maintain their groups. We recorded the roars of wild Steller sea lions that had landed on reefs on the west coast of Hokkaido, and those of captive sea lions, while making video recordings. The fundamental frequency ($F_0$), Formant frequency ($F_1$), pulse repetition rate (PRR), and duration of syllables (T) were analyzed using a sonagraph. $F_0$, $F_1$, and PRR of the roars emitted by captive sea lions increased in the order male, female. By contrast, the $F_1$ of wild males was lower than that of females, while the $F_0$ and PRR of wild males and females did not differ statistically. These results suggest regional differences between the five groups showed that.

Hundreds of Steller sea lions, Eumetopias jubatus, migrate from Sakhalin and the northern Kuril Islands to Hokkaido every winter. During this migration, they may use their roaring sounds to navigate and to maintain their groups. We recorded the roars of wild Steller sea lions that had landed on reefs on the west coast of Hokkaido, and those of captive sea lions, while making video recordings. A total of 300 roars of wild sea lions and 870 roars of captive sea lions were sampled. The fundamental frequency ($F_0$), formant frequency ($F_1$), pulse repetition rate (PRR), and duration of syllables (T) were analyzed using a sonagraph. $F_0$, $F_1$, and PRR of the roars emitted by captive sea lions increased in the order male, female, and juvenile. By contrast, the $F_1$ of wild males was lower than that of females, while the $F_0$ and PRR of wild males and females did not differ statistically. Moreover, the $F_0$ and $F_1$ frequencies for captive sea lions were higher than those of wild sea lions, while PRR in captive sea lions was lower than in wild sea lions. Since there was a linear relationship between body length and the $F_0$ and $F_1$ frequencies in captive sea lions, the body length distribution of wild sea lions could be estimated from the $F_0$ and $F_1$ frequency distribution using a regression equation. These results roughly agree with the body length distribution derived from photographic geometry. As the volume of the oral cavity and the length of the vocal cords are generally proportional to body length, sampled roars can provide useful information about a population, such as the body length distribution and sex ratio.

Multimedia is a very popular service in the Internet. But, we cannot provide multimedia service at a uniform content, because networks and devices are various. Thus, an adaptive service is needed for multimedia transmission. Video Transcoding is the good solution that can service multimedia adaptively. This paper proposes the streaming system that is composed of encoder, transcoder, decoder The encoder enhanced time complexity and PSNR in case of transcoding using PP(Prediction Period). The decoder is almost same as the traditional media player. Transcoder reduced time complexity through combination of prediction period in encoder and skipping period to control frame rate in transcoder. In simulation results, the performances of proposed scheme outperform the system with traditional transcoder in time complexity and PSNR.
