재래형 콤포짓트 레진의 마찰 . 마멸거동 (Friction and Wear Behaviors of Conventional Composite Resins)

  • The friction and wear characteristics of dental composite resins such as Charisma, Elitefil, TPH and Veridonfil were investigated. Furthermore, The surface characteristics examination, the analysis of contents of filler, Victors hardness and fracture toughness measurement of composite resins were preformed. The wear test applied ball to move reciprocationally on flat wear tester at room temperature. Microstructure of surfaces and worn surfaces were observed by SEM. Experimental results indicate that the friction coefficient of TPH was quite low, and the wear resistance of TPH was better than that of Charisma, Elitefil or Veridonfil at the same condition. The main wear mechanism was found to be plastic flow and abrasive wear by failure of filler's bond to the matrix.

  • Silicon Nitride ($Si_3N_4$), which is widely used in a variety of applications, is hard-to-machine due to its high hardness. At high temperature (e.g. above $1000^{\circ}C$), however, the machinability can be greatly improved. In this work, we used a $CO_2$ laser with a high absorptivity to $Si_3N_4$ of 0.9 to locally heat the surface of a rotating $Si_3N_4$ rod on a lathe. In order to examine the effects of the laser-assisted heating on hardness, an $Si_3N_4$ md is heated to temperatures from 900 to $1800^{\circ}C$ and is rotated at speeds from 440-900 rpm in experiments. When the rod is naturally cooled to room temperature, we measured the Victors hardness (Hv): and observed the surface of HAZ using a scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS) was used for ingredient analysis. Results showed that when heated at $1600^{\circ}C$, the hardness of $Si_3N_4$ decreased from 1500 Hv to 1000 Hv. Also, in order to predict the depth of HAZ, we numerically analyzed the laser-assisted heating of $Si_3N_4$.

Sn-0.7wt%Cu-Xwt%Re 솔더의 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Characteristics of Sn-0.7wt%Cu-Xwt%Re Solder)

  • 본 연구에서는 시차주사열량법, 젖음성 시험기, 비커스 경도계와 인장 시험기를 이용하여 Sn-0.7wt%Cu-Xwt%Re(X=$0.01{\sim}1.0$) 솔더의 특성에 관하여 평가하였다. 희토류 금속의 함량이 증가함에 따라 솔더의 용융 온도가 약간 상승하는 경향을 나타내었으나 $0.01{\sim}1.0%$의 희토류 금속이 첨가된 범위에서는 $233.9{\sim}234.7^{\circ}C$의 작은 용융 온도 범위를 갖는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 솔더의 젖음성 시험 결과로부터 Sn-0.7Cu-0.1Re 솔더의 젖음성이 다른 솔더보다 우수한 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, Sn-0.7Cu-0.1Re 솔더의 젖음성이 Sn-0.7wt%Cu-0.01wt%P 솔더보다 우수한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 희토류 금속의 함량이 증가할수록 솔더의 경도와 인장 강도가 증가하는 경향을 확인할 수 있었다.

SUS316L결합상을 이용한 $TiB_2$ 서멧합금의 제조와 특성평가 (Fabrication and Characterization of $TiB_2$-based Cermet Using SUS316L Metal Binder)

  • 절삭공구 재료나 내마모 재료와 같은 용도의 $TiB_2$기 서멧합금을 제조하기 위해서는 소결성과 기계적 특성이 우수한 결합상이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 경도 및 인성이 뛰어난 새로운 $TiB_2$기 서멧합금의 결합금속으로 SUS316L을 착안하였다. $TiB_2$-SUS316L 서멧합금은 상압소결에 의해 $1650^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 상대 밀도 99% 이상으로 치밀화되었다. 소결중 $Fe_2B$상이 생성되었지만 10vo1%SUS316L의 조성에서 1290MPa가지의 강도를 얻었다. 또한 비커스 경도 180pa 이상에서 $6MPam^{1/2}$까지의 파괴인성값을 얻을 수 있었고 이러한 경도 및 인성의 균형은 종래의 서멧합금에 비해 우수한 것이다. 약 $800^{\circ}C$ 부근에서 고온강도의 급격한 저하는 SUS316L 결합상의 소성변형으로 인한 것이었다.

사출성형용 Stellite미분말의 소결 치밀화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Densifcation of Stellite Fine Powder for Iniection Molding)

  • The densification of the compacts of Co+32%Cr+20%W+l.5%C, Co+32%Cr+20%W+3.0%C and Co+32%Cr+20%W+4.5%C sintered under $H_2$ gas or vacuum was investigated. The effect of V and B addition on the densification was also investigated. The densification of these compacts were always incomplete regardless of sintering atmosphere, temperature and time. The amounts of oxygen and carbon in compacts sintered in $H_2$ for 3.6ks at 1523K were 0.105~0.160 mass% and 0.33~0.89 mass%, respectively. And those in vacuum were 0.028~0.032% and 0.957~4.08%, respectively. Relative density(Ds) of Co+29%Cr+17%W+3.0%C compact containing 6%V and Co+32%Cr+20%W+2.97%C compact containing 0.03%B were 99 and 100%, respectively, indicating complete densification by solid phase sintering. Victors hardness of sintered compacts containing 6%V or 0.03%B were 632 and 568, showing 50~60% increase in comparison to those without V or B. These results can be explained in terms of oxidation/reduction of oxides and equilibrium pressure of CO in isolated pore, instead of presence of liquid formation and grain boundary separation from pores due to large grain growth.

  • In this study, we investigated $Li_2ZrO_3$ membrane as a candidate material for high-temperature $CO_2$ separation and evaluated mechanical property. $Li_2ZrO_3$ powder was synthesized by solid state reaction of $Li_2CO_3\;and\;ZrO_2$. Then we fabricated $Li_2ZrO_3$ tape using tape casting method. Dense $Li_2ZrO_3$ membrane prepared by sintering at $1600^{\circ}C$ for 2 h after pressing $Li_2ZrO_3$ tape using lamination machine. Mechanical properties before and after $CO_2$ absorption of fabricated $Li_2ZrO_3$ membrane such as Hertzian indentation, Victors hardness and 3-point bending testing were evaluated.

  • [ $MoSi_2$ ] alloys with Al, B or Nb were prepared by an advanced consolidation process that combined mechanical alloying with pulse discharge sintering (complex forming) to improve the mechanical properties. Their microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated. The $MoSi_2$ alloys fabricated by complex forming method showed very fine microstructure when compared with the sample sintered from commercial $MoSi_2$ powders. Alloys made from powders milled in Ar gas had fewer silica or alumina phases as compared to their counterparts sintered from powders milled in air. In densification of the sintered body, addition of B was more effective than Al or Nb. Both Victors hardness and tensile test indicated that the alloy fabricated by the complex forming method showed better properties than the sample sintered from commercial $MoSi_2$ powders. The Al added alloy sintered from the powders milled in air had the superior mechanical properties due to the suppression of $SiO_2$ and formation of fine $Al_2O_3$ particles.

실리콘의 화학기계적 미세가공 특성 (Characterization of the Chemical Mechanical Micro Machining for Single Crystal Silicon)

  • The mechanism of micro machining of reacted layer on silicon surface were proposed. The depth of reacted layer and the change of mechanical property were measured and analyzed. Depth of hydrated layer which is created on the surface of silicon by potassium hydrate was analyzed with SEM and XPS. The decrease of the micro victors hardness of silicon surface was shown with the increase of the concentration of potassium hydrate and the change of the dynamic friction coefficient by chemical reacted layer was measured due to the readiness of machining. The experiment of groove machining was done with 3-axis machine with constant load. With chemical mechanical micro machining the surface crack and burrs generated by both brittle and ductile micro machining were diminished. And the surface profile and groove depth was shown in accordance with the machining speed and reaction time with SEM and AFM.

합금화 용융아연도금강판에서 어닐링 온도가 도금층 기계적 특성 및 마찰계수에 미치는 영향 (The influence of annealing temperature on mechanical properties and friction coefficient of coating layer in galvannealed sheet steel)

  • In the modern days, a galvannealed sheet steel (GA) instead of a cold rolled steel sheet has been widely used as an alternative to extend the life of automotive body. Accordingly, the mechanical properties of GA for automobiles were taken into account and studied by comparing with the temperature variation on annealing in this study. To clarify the effect of surface features in the mechanical and frictional properties of GA, the several tests such as nanoindentation, victors hardness and nano scratch test were executed. The developed neural networks apply also to obtain reliable mechanical properties of the thin films. Load-displacement curve was computed by the analysis procedure and compared with experimental results. The frictional characteristics of coating layers in GA were verified though nano scratch test in this study. The friction coefficient of coating layers on the surface was obtained from the nano scratch. The variation of friction coefficient versus velocity and pressure was taken into consideration in this paper.

무전해코팅법으로 제조한 Al2O3/Ni 나노 Composite의 TEM 미세조직 (TEM Microstructure of Al2O3/Ni Nanocomposites by Electroless Deposition)

  • Ni coated $Al_2O_3$ composite was successfully Prepared by the electroless deposition Process. The average size of Ni particles coated on the $Al_2O_3$ matrix powder was about 20 nm. It was hard to find any reaction compound as an impurity at interface between $Al_2O_3$ and Ni particles after sintering. The characterization of microstructure crystal structure and fracture behavior of the sintered body were investigated using XRD, TEM and Victors hardness tester, and compared with those of the sintered $Al_2O_3$ monolithic body. Many dislocations were observed in the Ni phase due to the difference of thermal expansion coefficient between $Al_2O_3$ and Ni phase, and no observed microcracks at their $Al_2O_3$ and Ni interface. In the $Al_2O_3$/Ni composite, the main fracture mode showed a mixed fracture with intergranular and transgranuluar type having some ,surface roughness. The fracture toughness was slightly increased due to the plastic deformation mechanism of Ni phase in the $Al_2O_3$/Ni composite.
