고속엔진축계용 점성 비틀림진동감쇠기의 성능해석 및 실험 (A Performance Analysis and Experiment of Viscous Torsional Vibration Damper for High Speed Engine Shaft System)

  • In general, crankshafts which are used in internal combustion reciprocating engines are subjects to high torsional vibration. Therefore, a damper is often used to minimize the torsional vibration in reciprocating engines. In this paper, in order to investigate damping performance of viscous damper, the real effective viscosity and complex damping coefficient of silicone oil, and the effective inertia moment of inertia ring are calculated considering the relative motion between damper casing and inertia ring. Based on these results multi-cylinder shaft is modeled into equivalent 2-degree of freedom system and optimum condition is estimated by calculating the amplification factor of viscous damper. Also the test damper was manufactured according to the result of theoretical investigation, the performance and durability was ascertained through experimental examination.

스마트폰 거치대가 설치된 자전거 핸들의 구조 해석 (Structural Analysis of Bike Handle Installed with Smart Phone Depository)

  • This study investigates stress and deformation due to static and dynamic vibration analysis about various types of bike handles installed with smart phone depositories. When force is applied on the side of handle at the models of type 1, 2, 3 and 4, the maximum equivalent stress is highest at type 2. The stress or deformation becomes lowest among these 4 model types. At vibration analysis, type 1 becomes safest within the range of 500Hz and type 3 becomes stable within the range of 100Hz. The result of this study can be applied with the design of bike handle installed with smart phone depository. The damage or deformation due to vibration can be prevented when the bike falls down. This result can be widely utilized to investigate and predict the durability.

  • In this paper, the process of development of resilient sleepers, which improves the train safety, passenger comport and reduces the noise and vibration, is presented. To determine the required material properties of elastic pad, static and dynamic simulations are performed and is applied in manufacturing. Lateral resistance and durability characteristics of the resilient sleepers are experimentally investigated. From the experiment results, it is investigated that the displacement is less for sleeper with elastic pad than that in ordinary PC form. However, the lateral resistance is investigated little less -for sleeper with elastic pad than ordinary PC form. These results indicate that the elastic pad can reduce possibility of rail-corrugations and thus resulting in the reduction of maintenance costs.

  • Mobile phone is a representative personal communication tool among wireless communication devices. Recently, with the miniaturization and light-weight trend of mobile phone, the vibration motor has been replaced by coin type. The required performances of coin type vibration motor needed by user are long life, higher vibration, and thin thickness. Also the most important factor determines the performance of vibration motor is long-term reliability, which is mainly related to PCB plating technique for commutator. In this study, three types of fault were categorized to analyze the cause for malfunction of vibration motor. And, hardness and surface morphology on plating surface are also investigated to optimize the plating method and plating conditions. As a result, new plating method and conditions were proposed to increase the durability of PCB commutator.

유압 호스의 진동 내구성 평가를 위한 지그의 구조적 안정성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structural Stability of a Jig for Evaluating the Vibration Durability of a Hydraulic Hose)

  • For the vibration reliability tests, the jigs for mounting the test specimen on a vibration reliability tester are required. The dynamic stabilities of the jigs should be verified before the tests for obtaining the accurate reliability of the test specimen. This paper proposes an analytical technology for ensuring the dynamic structural stability for the test setup including the jig. The technology includes the mode analyses for checking resonance, the harmonic analyses for evaluating the dynamic structural stability of test setup including the jig, and the fatigue analyses for obtaining the durable reliability time with calculating the life cycles at the area of weakness. The cause investigation of the damaged jig during vibration reliability test of a rubber hose and the design of new revised jig are performed by using the technology. The vibration reliability test for the rubber hose with the new revised jig by analysis results is successfully conducted without any problem. Therefore the jig's design technology proposed in this paper may be useful for other items as well.

HILS 기법을 적용한 신축관 이음 수명예측에 관한 연구 (A Study for Lifetime Predition of Expansion Joint Using HILS)

  • 본 연구에서는 플랜트 기자재 중 수충격에 매우 취약한 신축관 이음을 대상으로 수충격 발생 시 신축관 이음의 신축량의 변화를 현장에서 취득한 후 HIL 시뮬레이터의 작동데이터로 적용한 HILS 기법을 적용한 진동내구 시험을 수행하였다. 또한 진동내구 시험 시 내구수명의 주요 스트레스 인자로 신축관 내부압력을 가정하였다. 진동내구 시험은 신축관 내부 설정압 따라 진행되었으며 수명데이터를 이용, 수명데이터를 잘 따르는 곡선을 접합하여 수명예측 모델식을 유도하였고 특정 내부 설정압에서의 시험 및 수명결과를 통하여 이를 검증하였다. 한편, 시험 중 발생 된 신축관의 고장모드는 모두 벨로우즈 부 표면에 발생된 크랙과 크랙을 통한 누수 등이 있었다. 본 연구에서 유도한 수명에측 모델식은 설정압력을 스트레스 인자로 따르는 전형적인 역승모형이며 특정환경에서만 적용될 수 있는 한계를 지니고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 진동내구 수명의 가속요인인 압력 외 온도상태 등을 다양한 수명변수가 적용 가능한 복합수명예측 모델식을 개발할 예정이다.

상용 프레스의 하중 방향에 따른 강도에 의한 내구성 평가 (Durability Evaluation by Strength due to Load Direction of Press in Common Use)

  • In this study, strength and durability are investigated using structural and vibration analyses on models 1 and 2 of a press in common use. Model 1 has a structure in which a punch is applied from the upper part to the lower part; however, model 2 a structure in which a punch is applied from the lower part to the upper part. Maximum displacements of models 1 and 2 are 0.018184 mm and 0.025498 mm, respectively. Maximum equivalent stresses of models 1 and 2 are 14.144 MPa and 18.58 MPa respectively. Maximum displacements are shown for the punches of both models; model 1 has less deformation than model 2. Model 1 has more durability than model 2, as determined by an investigation of the structural strength. Using natural frequency analysis, model 1 was found to have maximum deformation in the upper part of punch. Mode1 2 has its maximum deformation in the column part of the body and the upper part of the fixed pin. Using harmonic stress analysis, the maximum deformations were found on the punch part and column part of the body in the cases of models 1 and 2, respectively. As the maximum total deformation and equivalent stress in the case of model 2 are shown to become 40 times those values of model 1, the vibration durability of model 2 can be seen to be weaker than that of model 1.

자전거 짐받이에 대한 구조적 내구성 해석 (Structure Structural Durability Analysis on Bike Carrier Basket)

  • This study investigates structural durability through the analyses of stress, fatigue life and vibration damage at bike carrier basket. As model 2 has less stress and deformation than model 1 on static structural analysis, model 2 becomes more durable than model 1. Among the cases of nonuniform fatigue loads, 'SAE bracket history' with the severest change of load becomes most unstable but 'Sample history' becomes most stable. The amplitude deformations become highest at maximum response frequency of 2400Hz in cases of models 1 and 2. As the values of maximum equivalent stresses become within the allowable material stresses at two holes at the upper parts on models 1 and 2, these models become safe. The structural result of this study can be effectively utilized with the design of bike carrier basket by investigating prevention and durability against fatigue or vibration damage.

페달의 내구성에 대한 구조 해석 (Structural Analysis on Durability of Pedal)

  • In this study, the deformation, stress, vibration, fatigue life and the probability of damage are analyzed at the pedal applied by the force of 300N. The maximum stress at the lower of pedal is shown as 20.801MPa. And the maximum displacement is 0.85mm at the maximum response frequency as 3800Hz. Among the cases of nonuniform fatigue loads, 'SAE bracket history' with the severest change of load becomes most unstable but 'Sample history' becomes most stable. In case of 'Sample history' with the average stress of 0 to $-10^{5}MPa$ and the amplitude stress of 0 to $10^{5}MPa$, the possibility of maximum damage becomes 0.6%. This stress state can be shown with 5 times more than the damage possibility of 'SAE bracket history' or 'SAE transmission'. The structural result of this study can be effectively improved with the design of pedal by investigating durability against its damage.
