  • 최근 초고속정보통신망 구축 기반이 확장되면서 동시에 댁내에서의 네트워킹을 가능케하는 홈네트워킹 기술들이 대두되고 있다. 이 두 가지 네트워크 기반의 원활한 연결을 위하여는 그 중간에서의 인터페이싱을 해줄 수 있는 효과적 네트워크 설비 구축 기술이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 전화망 시기에서부터 시작하여 근래 다양한 정보통신 서비스를 위한 새로운 기술 패러다임의 적용에 따른 댁내 영역에서의 IDF(Intermediate Distribution Frame) 기술의 진화 내용과 개선 방향을 제시한다.

  • Electromagnetic(EM) radiation problems and their possible solutions are addressed in this paper for the split power plane of high-speed digital systems. Stitching and decoupling capacitors are proved to be very effective fur reducing signal noise, ground bounce as well as electromagnetic radiation from the split power plane.   • In this paper we designed a high speed wireless multiple access protocol, which is suitable for future multimedia wireless LAN systems which support high quality video teleconferencing, telephony and graphic databases. In the proposed protocol, Slotted-ALOHA protocol is used for transmitting random data packets and the packet reservation multiple access(PRMA) protocol for transmitting periodic data packets. The use of minislot is introduced for the reservation scheme. In order to measure the performance characteristic of the proposed protocol, a simulator is designed using an object oriented programming language, C++, and an exhaustive simulation study is carried out. From the simulation results, it is observed that the proposed protocol and the existing PRMA protocol have almost the same delay characteristic when network traffic is low. However, the proposed protocol is superior to the PRMA protocol when traffic becomes higher. The proposed protocol and the results can be utilized for the design of the wireless access systems and future broadband wireless LANs.

  • In the area of mobile communication, Location Based Services (LBS) using the location of mobile terminal to provide their services are rapidly spreading as communication network and terminal evolves. Despite the LBS are highly demanded in high speed internet area, the services are very rare due to the difficulty locating terminals. In this paper, we propose the method to locate terminals in real time and describe its implementation system. The proposed system is designed to collect the information in real time for more than a terminal connecting internet. And, the system shows high performancecollecting and generating location information through simulation tests.

  • The flood and environment surveillance network on riverside is a network requiring a way to efficiently manage the information from all kinds of sensors, along with an optical communication device that can deliver high-quality video information at high speed. Since on-site prompt recovery is very important especially for communication problems that occurred due to cut-off or aged network, various researches have been carried out on this. However, because the security against outside hacking or outside intrusion with illegal purposes is very important for environment surveillance network, such as the national backbone network, an efficient network maintenance and repair should be enabled while satisfying security and reliability at the same time. A characteristic of requirement is that when security is improved, the efficiency of maintenance and repair drops as they are conflicting to each other. Therefore, this research proposed a system in order to satisfy the conflicting requirement and improve security, by developing a one-way Bypass TAP and an android-based smartphone app that can enable efficient network maintenance and repair.

  • In this paper, identifier for thermal storage system using multi-layer feedforward neural network (MFNN) is designed. It is very difficult to control thermal storage system, since thermal storage system is nonlinear and its time constant is very large. Thus, in the MFNN, delta-bar-delta algorithm for high running speed and 2-bit status input are used. Also hardware using microprocessor for identifier is developed. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method can predict temperature more accurately.

  • The accuracy of the machine tools is degraded because of thermal error of structure due to thermal variation. To improve the accuracy of a machine tools, measurement and prediction of thermal error is very important. The main part of thermal source is spindle due to high speed with friction. The thermal error of spindle is very important because it is over 10% in total thermals errors. In this paper, the suitable thermal error prediction technology for machine tools with open architecture controller is developed and implemented to machine tools. Two thermal error prediction technologies, neural network and multi-linear regression, are investigated in several methods. The multi-linear regression method is more effective for implementation to CNC. The developed thermal error prediction technology is implemented on the internal function of CNC.
