피동 주입 시험 장치의 척도 해석 및 설계 방법론 연구 (Study on Scaling Analysis and Design Methodology of Passive Injection Test Facility)

  • A design methodology of the modeled test facility to conserve an injection performance of a passive safety injection system is proposed. This safety injection system is composed of a core makeup tank and a safety injection tank. Individual tanks are connected with pressure balance line on the top side and injection line on the bottom side. It is important to conserve the scaled initial injection flow rate and total injection time since this system can be operated by small gravity head without any active pumps. Differential pressure distribution of the injection line induced by the gravity head is determined by the vertical length and elevation of each tank. However, the total injection time is adjustable by the flow resistance coefficient of the injection line. The scaling methodology for the tank and flow resistance coefficient is suggested. A key point of this test facility design is a scaling analysis for the flow resistance coefficient. The scaling analysis proposed on this paper is based on the volume scaling law with the same vertical length to the prototype and can be extended to a model with a reduced vertical length. A set of passive injection test were performed for the tanks with the same volume and the different length. The test results on the initial flow rate and total injection time showed the almost same injection characteristics and they were in good agreement with the design values.

Treatment concepts for the posterior maxilla and mandible: short implants versus long implants in augmented bone

  • The aim of this narrative review is to describe treatment options for the posterior regions of the mandible and the maxilla, comparing short implants vs. longer implants in an augmented bone. The dental literature was screened for treatment options enabling the placement of dental implants in posterior sites with a reduced vertical bone height in the maxilla and the mandible. Short dental implants have been increasingly used recently, providing a number of advantages including reduced patient morbidity, shorter treatment time, and lower costs. In the posterior maxilla, sinus elevation procedures were for long considered to be the gold standard using various bone substitute materials and rendering high implant survival rates. More recently, implants were even placed without any further use of bone substitute materials, but the long-term outcomes have yet to be documented. Vertical bone augmentation procedures in the mandible require a relatively high level of surgical skill and allow the placement of standard-length dental implants by the use of autogenous bone blocks. Both treatment options, short dental implants, and standard-length implants in combination with vertical bone augmentation procedures, appear to result in predictable outcomes in terms of implant survival rates. According to recent clinical studies comparing the therapeutic options of short implants vs. long implants in augmented bone, the use of short dental implants leads to a number of advantages for the patients and the clinician.

Numerical investigation on the effect of baffles on liquid sloshing in 3D rectangular tanks based on nonlinear boundary element method

  • The numerical simulation of liquid sloshing in the three-dimensional tanks under horizontal excitation and roll excitation was carried out, and the inhibition effect of different baffles on the sloshing phenomenon was investigated. The numerical calculations were carried out by the nonlinear Boundary Element Method (BEM) with Green's theorem based on the potential flow, which was conducted with the governing equation corresponding to the boundaries of each region. The validity of the method was verified by comparing with experimental values and published literatures. The horizontal baffle, the vertical baffle and the T-shaped baffle in the sloshing tanks were investigated respectively, and the baffles' position, dimension and the liquid depth were provided and discussed in detail. It is drawn that the baffle shape plays a non-negligible role in the tank sloshing. The vertical baffle is a more effective way to reduce the sloshing amplitude when the tank is under a horizontal harmonic excitation while the horizontal baffle is a more effective way when the tank is under a roll excitation. The amplitude of free surface elevation at right tank wall decreases with the increasing of the horizontal baffle length and the vertical baffle height. Although the T-shaped baffle has the best suppression effect on tank sloshing under horizontal excitation, it has limited suppression effect under roll excitation and will complicate the sloshing phenomenon when changing baffle height.

중층형 생활한옥 모델시안 연구 - 청주 서운동의 사례를 중심으로 - (The Tentative Plans of Middle-rise Traditional Houses (Han-ok) Located on Seoun-dong in Urban Area of Cheongju, Korea)

  • Focusing on the creation of a new han ok, especially a mid-rise hybrid-structured Han-ok, this study proposes a middle-rise (four-story) Han-ok on one and two lots located in Seoun-dong, the existing Han-ok intensive housing site in downtown Cheongju. 1) In terms of layout and function, according to the existing L-shaped Han-ok corresponding to the road and the direction, the parking lots and shops on the 1st floor, the business facility on the 2nd floor, the Han-ok on the 3rd and 4th floors are placed. There are yards, open roof yards, and semi-open Daecheong(大廳, main hall), which can be shared by residents. 2) In terms of structure and form, one or two floors (some 3 floors) are 5.4m square and 5.4×6.6m modules of the RC(Reinforced Concrete) group, and the upper floor reflects the 2.7m module, size and shape of the existing Han-ok. By extending the outer wall of the RC group in the lower floors (1st to 3rd floors) to the wooden exterior of the upper floors (2nd to 4th floors), it is attempted to avoid the awkward appearance of the RC group being exposed to wooden structures. And it is also attempted to reflect the wooden shape and design elements through the elevation elements such as horizontal windows, corner windows, picture frames, and vertical slits. 3) In environmental control and facilities, it is attempted to smooth the ventilation of the building by forming a vertical upward airflow from the dark space of the low floor to the positive of the upper floor. This doubles the effect through a vertical rise of cold air generated in a narrow alleyway, piloti parking lot, and the various voids. In addition to the Daecheong and Numaru(loft) of Han ok, the rooftop yard, the terrace, and the balcony, horizontal natural ventilation is generated through divided doors and transom windows.

교모 환자에서 안면 스캔을 활용하여 교합 평면을 재설정한 전악 보철 수복 증례 (Full mouth rehabilitation with reorientation of occlusal plane using facial scan: a case report)

  • 전악 보철 치료에서 가장 중요한 것은 환자의 수직 교합 고경이 적절한지 평가하는 것이며, 필요시 교합 고경 거상을 통해 회복해 주어야 한다. 수직 교합 고경이 낮으면 저작력이 감소되며 심미적인 문제 뿐만 아니라 저작근의 과수축이나 과두의 후방 변위가 일어난다. 본 증례는 수차례에 걸쳐 전악에 이르는 보철 수복 치료를 받은 후 부적절한 수직 교합 고경으로 인해 발음 및 심미에 불만족스러워 하는 환자에게 수직 교합 고경 거상을 동반해 전악 보철 수복 치료를 했다. 디지털 진단 장비를 활용해 환자의 수직 교합 고경, 교합 평면, 보철물 상태 등을 종합적으로 평가하고 치료계획을 수립했다. 3D 안면 스캔으로 얼굴의 해부학적 구조를 파악하고 교합 평면을 설정한 다음 이에 맞추어 디지털로 진단 왁스업 했다. 전치부 기준 약 5 mm의 수직 교합 고경 거상을 결정하였으며 기존 식립된 양측 상하악 구치부의 임플란트의 상부 보철과 상악 4전치를 제외한 모든 잔존 치아를 수복하였다. 치료 순서는 양측 구치부의 임플란트 보철물을 먼저 제작하여 안정적인 교합 접촉을 형성한 뒤 자연치의 보철물을 제작하는 방식으로 진행했으며, 적응된 임시 수복물을 반영하여 동일한 순서로 최종 보철물을 제작하였다. 이와 같이 전악 보철 치료에서 안면 스캔을 이용해 환자의 facial landmark와 조화를 이루는 교합 평면을 설정하고 디지털 진단 왁스업 과정을 통해 적절한 치료계획을 수립하였고, 거상된 교합 고경을 유지하기 위해 구치부 임플란트를 이용한 결과 복잡한 기공 과정을 줄이고, 치료 시간을 단축할 수 있었다.

무인항공사진측량을 이용한 벡터화의 3차원 위치정확도 분석 (Analysis of Three Dimensional Positioning Accuracy of Vectorization Using UAV-Photogrammetry)

  • 무인항공사진측량을 이용한 지도제작의 지형·지물 묘사 방법에는 벡터화와 수치도화 방법이 있다. 벡터화 방법은 정사영상에서 평면위치를 추출하고, 수치표면모델(DSM: Digital Surface Model) 혹은 수치표고모델(DEM: Digital Elevation Model)에서 높이 값을 취득하고 있다. 그러나 지금까지 벡터화 성과의 정확도는 대부분 검사점만을 이용하여 분석하고 있어 지상시설물과 건물 등 3차원 지물의 위치정확도 판단이 어렵다. 이에 본 연구에서는 검사점 뿐만 아니라 지형·지물의 Layer별 모서리에 대한 정확도를 분석하여 벡터화를 이용한 3차원 공간정보취득 및 수치지도제작 가능성을 판단하고자 하였다. 촬영은 DJI사 Phantom 4 pro로 비행고도 90m에서 GSD (Ground Sample Distance) 3.6cm의 영상을 취득하였다. 연구 결과, 벡터화에 의한 묘사의 정확도는 현장측량 성과와 비교하여 검사점의 잔차를 분석한 결과 평면 RMSE (Root Mean Square Error)가 0.045m로 나타나 정사영상을 이용한 1/1,000 축척의 수치지형(평면)현황도 제작이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 반면 전주, 옹벽 및 건물 등 Layer별 모서리 좌표를 기준자료와 비교하여 3차원 정확도를 분석한 결과 RMSE가 평면 0.068~0.162m, 표고 0.090~1.840m로 나타났다. 따라서 벡터화로 취득한 3차원 성과의 표고위치에서 오차가 크게 발생하여 벡터화를 이용한 3차원 공간정보 취득 및 1/1,000 수치지도제작이 어려운 것으로 판단된다.

고해상도 DEM을 활용한 로스해 Campbell 빙하의 지반접지선 추정 (Grounding Line of Campbell Glacier in Ross Sea Derived from High-Resolution Digital Elevation Model)

  • 지반접지선은 남극 빙하 및 빙붕의 취약성을 나타내는 가장 핵심적인 척도로 물질균형의 증거로 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 SAR와 레이더 고도계 위성을 이용하여 빙하와 빙붕의 고해상도 수치고도모델을 제작하고, 이를 이용하여 동남극의 Campbell 빙하의 지반접지선의 위치를 추정하고 시공간적 변화를 관찰하였다. 2013년 6월 21일과 2016년 9월 10일에 획득된 TanDEM-X 와 TerraSAR-X 자료와 촬영날짜 대비 15일 이내의 CryoSat-2 레이더 고도계 자료의 조합을 이용하여 고해상도 수치고도모델을 제작 후 지반접지선을 추정하였으나 3년 동안 큰 변화를 관찰하지 못하였다. 지반접지선 추정 시 사용된 얼음의 평균 밀도는 정확하게 알려져 있기 않기 때문에 얼음의 밀도를 변화시킨 지반접지선의 변화를 분석하였다. DDInSAR로 추정된 지반접지선과는 공간적으로 큰 차이가 있었지만 광학위성의 표면 특징을 이용하여 추정된 지반접지선과는 얼음의 밀도가 약 $880kg/m^3$일 때 가장 유사하였다. 본 연구는 해저지형의 수직적 정확도에 따라서 결과의 신뢰도가 변할 수 있지만 얼음의 지반접지선 지역의 유체정역학적 얼음 두께가 더욱 큰 영향을 끼칠 것으로 고려되며 동일한 오차를 포함한 두 시기의 지반접지선을 비교하였기 때문에 상대적 변화는 의미가 있다고 고려된다.

Real-time GPS Ionospheric TEC Estimation over South Korea

  • Ionosphere is one of the largest error sources when the navigational signals produced by Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites are transmitted. Therefore it is very important to estimate total electron contents (TEC) in ionosphere precisely for navigation, precise positioning and some other applications. When we provide ionospheric TEC values in real-time, its application can be expanded to other areas. In this study we have used data obtained from nine Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) reference stations which have been operated by Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) to detect ionospheric TEC over South Korea in real-time. We performed data processing that covers converting 1Hz raw data delivered from GNSS reference stations to Receiver INdependent Exchange (RINEX) format files at intervals of 5 minutes. We also analyzed the elevation angles of GPS satellites, vertical TEC (VTEC) values and their changes.

Measurement of Sonobuoy Transmitting Antenna System for Anti-Submarine Warfare

  • This paper describes the measured results of sonobuoy transmitting antenna system for anti-submarine warfare (ASW). Since radiation pattern and power density depend on impedance matching between transmitting RF part and antenna with termination resistance, design of matching circuit is very important for sonobuoy system performance. Matching circuit is designed by Smith chart using control of L and C. In standing wave ratio(SWR) measurement using Network Analyzer, SWR of antenna with matching circuit observed 1.5 below at the assigned VHF band. It shows very excellent performance comparison with conversional product that is used for the same object. The measured vertical and horizontal radiation patterns are also shown the satisfaction of military specifications. A drop out of sonobuoy system on the sea is happened when angle of elevation direction is over 10 degrees, and it is conformed that it takes less than I second return to original signal level. The required electric power density is $83\;mW/m^2$ in the military specification, and measured electric power density is observed over average $110\;mW/m^2$ at all frequency bands.

정확한 GPS 기준국 좌표산출을 위한 위상중심 변동량 계산방법 비교 (Comparison of Calibration Methods of Phase Center Variations for Precise GPS Monument Positioning)

  • A determinated position with GPS (Global Positioning System) data processing is the position of the phase center of a GPS antenna. The phase center of a GPS antenna is. not a stable point and depends on the azimuth and elevation angles of GPS satellites. It is known that the phase center variations (PCV) of a GPS antenna are greater in the vertical than the horizontal directions. The PCV calibration models for a GPS. antenna has two approaches: relative and absolute. In this study. we compared the two calibration models using the six operational permanent GPS stations in South Korea and analysed the PCV of each station. In addition, we. tested two different kinds of GPS antennas and compared the results. The accuracy and precision of the relative calibration was worse than the absolute calibration.
