비선형 타이어모델을 이용한 완전능동형 4WS 제어방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Full Active 4WS Control Method Using Nonlinear Tire Model)

  • The understeer characteristics of four wheel steering system(4WS system) in a high speed region have a negative effect upon the yaw velocity, leading to a decrease in the handling ability of vehicle. As a result, even if the side slip angle of vehicle can be kept up a minimum, a driver must compensate a decrease in yaw velocity by increasing the steering wheel angle in order to track the desired vehicle path. In this study, to keep the side slip angle of vehicle at zero and achieve a suitable yaw velocity in vehicle motion, a full active 4WS system(FA 4WS system) with actively steerable front and rear wheels is presented based on a nonlinear vehicle model and a model following control of yaw velocity. And the analysis results show the fat that, besides the excellent stability of vehicle, the FA 4WS system is able to realize better handling performance of vehicle than the previous 4WS systems in the high speed region.

Comparative study of analytical models of single-cell tornado vortices based on simulation data with different swirl ratios

  • The analytical model of tornado vortices plays an essential role in tornado wind description and tornado-resistant design of civil structures. However, there is still a lack of guidance for the selection and application of tornado analytical models since they are different from each other. For single-cell tornado vortices, this study conducts a comparative study on the velocity characteristics of the analytical models based on numerically simulated tornado-like vortices (TLV). The single-cell stage TLV is first generated by Large-eddy simulations (LES). The spatial distribution of the three-dimensional mean velocity of the typical analytical tornado models is then investigated by comparison to the TLV with different swirl ratios. Finally, key parameters are given as functions of swirl ratio for the direct application of analytical tornado models to generate full-scale tornado wind field. Results show that the height of the maximum radial mean velocity is more appropriate to be defined as the boundary layer thickness of the TLV than the height of the maximum tangential mean velocity. The TLV velocity within the boundary layer can be well estimated by the analytical model. Simple fitted results show that the full-scale maximum radial and tangential mean velocity increase linearly with the swirl ratio, while the radius and height corresponding to the position of these two velocities decrease non-linearly with the swirl ratio.

도로 하부 통과 배관의 주행 하중 속도에 따른 진동 특성 (Dynamic Characteristics of Buried Pipeline under Vibration Velocity of Vehicle Loads)

  • 지진 및 외부 진동에 의하여 구조물에 발생하게 되는 진동량은 진동 속도와 피해규모가 비례하는 관계에 있음을 고려하여 일반적으로 진동속도로 나타내어진다. 본 연구에서는 진동 속도 기반의 구조물 진동기준을 검토하고, 이를 고려하여 도로 하부 매설 가스 강관의 안정성 평가를 수행하였다. 가스공사 주사용 배관인 762 mm API 5L Gr. X65 강관을 해석 대상 배관으로 선정하였으며 도로설계기준에 의하여 지반 매설 조건 및 DB-24 하중을 다양한 속도에 대한 시간 함수로 고려하여 재하하였다. 진동속도는 차량 진행 속도 80 km/h까지 증가하다가 이후 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 차량 진행 속도 80 km/h에서 0.034 cm/s의 진동 속도를 보임으로서 진동 기준 대비 매우 작은 값임을 확인하였다. 또한 감쇄법칙을 적용하여 진행파의 속도를 분석한 결과, 차량 진행 속도 80 km/h에서 가장 작은 속도를 나타내었다.

일정속도 유체를 운반하는 곡관의 유한요소 진동해석 (Finite Element Vibration Analysis of a Curved Pipe Conveying Fluid with Uniform Velocity)

  • A method for the vibration analysis of curved beam conveying fluid with uniform velocity was presented. The dynamics of curved beam is based on the inextensible theory. Both in-plane motion and out-of-plane motion of curved beam were discussed. The finite element method was formulated to solve the governing equations. The natural frequencies calculated by the presented method were compared with those by analytical solution, straight beam theories and Nastran. As the velocity of fluid becomes larger, the results by straight beam model became different from those by curved beam model. And it was shown that the curved beam element should be used to predict the critical velocity of fluid exactly. The influence of fluid velocity on the frequency response function was also discussed.

심층 신경망을 이용한 탄성파 속도 모델 구축 사례 분석 (Case Analysis of Seismic Velocity Model Building using Deep Neural Networks)

  • 속도 모델 구축은 탄성파 탐사 자료처리에서 필수적인 절차이다. 주시 토모그래피나 속도 분석과 같은 기존 기법들은 하나의 속도 모델을 예측하는 데 계산 시간이 오래 걸리며 역산 결과의 품질이 전문가의 판단에 크게 의존한다. 전파형 역산 또한 초기 속도 모델에 크게 의존한다는 문제가 있다. 최근 심층 신경망 기법이 복잡하고 비선형적인 문제를 푸는데 적용되는 사례가 많아지면서 널리 보급되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 심층 신경망 기법을 이용한 탄성파 속도 모델 구축 사례들을 각 연구에 사용한 신경망에 따라 분류하며 조사하였다. 또한 훈련용 인공 속도 모델 생성 사례도 포함하였다. 심층 신경망은 대량의 데이터로부터 신경망을 훈련함으로써 모델 매개변수를 자동으로 최적화한다. 따라서 기존 기법들에 비해 역산 결과에 사람의 판단이 개입될 여지가 적으며 훈련을 마친 후 하나의 속도 모델을 예측하는 비용은 무시할 수 있다. 또한, 심층 신경망은 전파형 역산과 달리 초기 속도 모델이 필요하지 않다. 여러 연구에서 계산 비용뿐만 아니라 역산 결과에서도 심층 신경망 기법이 뛰어난 성과를 달성하는 것을 보여주었다. 연구 결과들을 바탕으로 속도 모델 구축에 사용된 심층 신경망 기법의 특징에 대해 분석하고 논의하였다.

난류 부분 예혼합 화염장에 대한 수치 모델링 (Numerical Modeling for Turbulent Partially Premixed Flames)

  • The present study is focused on the subgrid scale combustion model in context with a Large Eddy Simulation. In order to deal with detailed chemical kinetic, the level-set method based on a flamelet model is addressed. In this model, the flame front is treated as an interface, represented by an iso-surface of a scalar field G. This iso-surface is convected by the velocity field and its filtered quantities are include the turbulent burning velocity, which is to be modelled. For modelling the turbulent burning velocity, an equation for the length-scale of the sub-filter flame front fluctuations was developed. The formulations and issues for the turbulent premixed and partially premixed flames are addressed in detail.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the predictive behaviors of the extended $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model and the standard $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model. Grid dependency is tested with the H-type grid and the O-type grid. Computations have been performed for a circular-to-rectangular transition duct. Numerical results for several sections along the streamwise have been obtained to compare with experimental results. The Reynolds number is 390,000 based on the bulk velocity at the inlet. The computed axial velocity contours, transverse velocity profiles, static pressure contours, peripheral skin friction coefficient, and peripheral wall static pressure distributions have been compared with experimental results. The computed results obtained with the extended $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model show better agreement with experimental results than those obtained with the standard $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model. Comparing to the computed results obtained with the H-type grid and O-type grid, those with H-type grid agree well with experimental results.

Investigation on low velocity impact on a foam core composite sandwich panel

  • A finite element model with the consideration of damage initiation and evolution has been developed for the analysis of the dynamic response of a composite sandwich panel subject to low velocity impact. Typical damage modes including fiber breakage, matrix crushing and cracking, delamination and core crushing are considered in this model. Strain-based Hashin failure criteria with stiffness degradation mechanism are used in predicting the initiation and evolution of intra-laminar damage modes by self-developed VUMAT subroutine. Zero-thickness cohesive elements are adopted along the interface regions between the facesheets and the foam core to simulate the initiation and propagation of delamination. A crushable foam core model with volumetric hardening rule is used to simulate the mechanical behavior of foam core material at the plastic state. The time history curves of contact force and the core collapse area are obtained. They all show a good correlation with the experimental data.

군속도 변화를 이용한 배관 두께 측정 (Estimation of the Pipe Thickness using the Variation of the Group Velocity)

  • This paper proposes the technique of estimating the pipe thickness using the measured group velocity. To measure the group velocity from the accelerometer data in the frequency domain, Wigner-Ville distribution is utilized, which interprets the waveform of the shock wave. Using this measured group velocity, this paper proposes the technique to estimate the thickness of pipes with the impact on the pipe. The group velocity is estimated by the modeling correlation between the group velocity and the thickness of the pipe based on the propagation velocities. The correlation model between thickness and group velocity has been proved through the real experiments. The measured group velocity in the frequency-domain is the maximum at the center frequency of the bending waves in the modeling of the group velocity. In addition to these, a smoothing technique for analyzing lamb wave Wigner-Ville distribution has been introduced to improve the reliability of the data acquisition.
