  • In this paper, an estimation system of vehicle position and orientation on magnetic lane, which is a parameter of the steering controller for automated lane follwing is described. To verify that the magnetic dipole model could be applied to a magnetic unit paved in roadway, the analysis of the the data 3-axis magnetic field measured experimentally.

  • This paper presents a brief overview of the concepts, achievements and challenges relating to the use of electronic and computer control for railway vehicles in the aspect of mechatronic design. It can provides the rail vehicles of tomorrow must be more cost effective, energy efficient, and dynamic performance. The main emphasis in this paper will be upon the use of active control for suspension and steering for new approaches of incorporation of sensors, controllers, and actuators. They can make vehicle designers to take advantages optimizing mechanics and electronics jointly which are not possible with a purely mechanical approach.

  • We deals with stationary layout control system of AGV. It is a intelligent control system to he wholly charged control PC a layout information and guided command and to be controlled a vehicle driving, steering, safety of natural functions of AGV. Fieldbus concentrator of stationary layout control system serves control command from control PC and status information of AGV. Telegram software monitors transmitted command and status information through IR(JnfraRed) modem. Especially it is possible to easily network to use not an exclusive controller of AGV but personal computer(PC) when communicate and interface a different kind of controller.

  • Vehicle engineering analysis in the event of an accident caused by a car built on mechanical design has not been investigated in-depth but relies on the subjective experience knowledge of the investigator. This study analyzed the correlation between the speed, progress, steering, and braking before impact, which is consistent with the final stop position, by drawing a site situation chart using the CAD (CAD) program and repeating 250 crashes using the PC-Crash program. The following situations were investigated: lower impact velocity; greater impact speed of the vehicle, which is not affected significantly by the departure angle; higher vehicle speed, such as the effective impact velocity, after the impact; higher vehicle speed; and lower vehicle speed. Please check the changes.)The simulation results of this study identified the process of returning to the magnetic progression lane after recognizing the opposite porter while Mighty was carried out on the uphill left-curve section in a position that crossed the center line, and the collision of the porter's front left side, pushing the porter in the right diagonal direction and making the front stop towards approximately 11 o'clock.

  • Kyung-p-1 main line is characterized by its curves radii of which are considerably small. It is essential for running time reduction of train to improve capabilities of curve negotiation. This improvement can be achieved by designing a bogie with flexible suspension system. The effect of the improvement is mainly concerned in the primary yaw stiffness of bogie suspension. This paper gives a linear analysis for the motion of railway vehicle on curved track and gives also computer simulation results for Semaul Train. The results introduce a conclusion that the primary yaw stiffness of Semaul train is too rigid to be self-steering on Kyung-pu main line curves.

  • Localization is very important for the autonomous navigation of Unmanned Ground Vehicles; however, it is difficult that they have a precise Inertial Navigation System(INS) sensor, especially Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle(SUGV). Moreover, there are some condition such as denial of global position system(GPS), GPS/INS integrated system is not robust. This paper proposes the estimation algorithm with optical flow sensor and INS. Being compared with previous researches, the proposed algorithm is suitable for skid steering vehicles. We revised the measurement model of previous research for the accuracy of side direction position. Experimental results were performed to verify the algorithm, and the result showed an excellent performance.

  • In this paper, automatic control system for the Manta UUV are constructed for the diving and steering maneuver. PID controller and Fuzzy controller are adopted in this system. Based on the 6DOF dynamic equation, simulation program has been developed using the Matlab. Using this program, depth control system and heading control system with tidal current are evaluated.

  • In this study a path control scheme of simulation models of various vehicles to evaluate their handling characteristic is developed. Based on the forward target method, path deviation error is estimated and the required steering effort to reduce the error is computed by Ziegler-Nichols PID control rule. Velocity control model is also included in the proposed path control scheme to achieve the desired velocity. The path control scheme is implemented on a full vehicle model to perform ISO test procedures, such as steady state cornering, lane change, and sinusoidal input, etc. Through the simulations of ISO test procedures and comparison with actual tests, effectiveness and validity of the path control model is demonstrated.
