  • A novel approach for frequency-tripling vector signal generation via balanced detection without precoding and optical filter is proposed. The scheme is mainly utilizing an integrated dual-polarization quadrature phase shift keying (DPQPSK) modulator. In the DPQPSK modulator, one QPSK modulator is driven by an RF signal to generate high-order optical sidebands, while the other QPSK modulator is modulated by I/Q data streams to produce baseband vector signal as an optical carrier. After that, a frequency-tripling 16-quadrature-amplitude-modulation (16QAM) vector millimeter-wave (mm-wave) signal can be obtained by balanced detection. The proposed scheme can reduce the complexity of transmitter digital signal processing. The results show that, a 4 Gbaud baseband 16QAM vector signal can be generated at 30 GHz by frequency-tripling. After 10 km single-mode fiber (SMF) transmission, the constellation and eye diagrams of the generated vector signal perform well and a bit-error-rate (BER) below than 1e-3 can be achieved.

  • In this paper, we propose the method to extract the important frequency bands from the EMG signal, and for generation of feature vector using the important frequency bands. The EMG signal is measured with 4 sensor and is recorded as 4 channel’s time series data. The same frequency bands from 4 channel’s frequency components are selected as the important frequency bands. The feature vector is calculated by the function formed using the combination of selected same important frequency bands. The EMG signals acquired from seven wrist motion type are recognized by changing into the feature vector formed. Then, the extraction and generation is performed by using the double combination of the genetic algorithm (GA) and the neural network (NN). Finally, in order to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, computer simulations are done.

  • This paper presents a novel hybrid carrier based space vector modulation for cascaded multilevel inverters. The proposed technique inherits the properties of carrier based space vector modulation and the fundamental frequency modulation strategy. The main characteristic of this modulation are the reduction of power loss, and improved harmonic performance. The carrier based space vector modulation algorithm is implemented with a TMS320F2407 digital signal processor. A Xilinx Complex Programmable Logic Device is used to develop the hybrid PWM control algorithm and it is integrated with a digital signal processor for hybrid carrier based space vector PWM generation. The inverter offers less weighted total harmonic distortion and it operates with equal electrostatic and electromagnetic stress among the power devices. The feasibility of the proposed technique is verified by spectral analysis, simulation, and experimental results.

  • The existing solar tracking sensor for 2 axial control system to trace latitude and longitude is made of four phototransistor. The phototransistor-making is difficult and it's manufacturing is more high-priced than a wide use phototransistor because they have to the same characteristics of each phototransistor output signal. This paper described the algorithm for supplement these weakness. The algorithm applied to signal normalizing method and vector decomposition law. The deviations of each a wide use phototransistor output signal are resolved by signal normalizing method and it is able to make a solar tracking sensor using three phototransistor by vector decomposition law. Therefore, in this paper, it is reduced the number of phototransistor that is composed of solar tracking sensor and possible to use a wide use phototransistor by the proposed algorithm.

  • Among the Foley sound generation models that have recently begun to be studied, a sound generation technique using the Vector Quantized-Variational AutoEncoder (VQ-VAE) structure and generation model such as Pixelsnail are one of the important research subjects. On the other hand, in the field of deep learning-based acoustic signal compression, residual vector quantization technology is reported to be more suitable than the conventional VQ-VAE structure. Therefore, in this paper, we aim to study whether residual vector quantization technology can be effectively applied to the Foley sound generation. In order to tackle the problem, this paper applies the residual vector quantization technique to the conventional VQ-VAE-based Foley sound generation model, and in particular, derives a model that is compatible with the existing models such as Pixelsnail and does not increase computational resource consumption. In order to evaluate the model, an experiment was conducted using DCASE2023 Task7 data. The results show that the proposed model enhances about 0.3 of the Fréchet audio distance. Unfortunately, the performance enhancement was limited, which is believed to be due to the decrease in the resolution of time-frequency domains in order to do not increase consumption of the computational resources.

  • Conventional DLLs estimate the delay times of satellite signals individually and feed back these measurements to the VCO independently. But VDLL estimates delay times and user position directly and then estimate the feedback term for VCO using the estimated position changes. In this process, input measurements are treated as vectors and these vectors are used for navigation. First advantage of VDLL is that noise is reduced in all of the tracking channels making them less likely to enter the nonlinear region and fall below threshold. Second is that VDLL can operate successfully when the conventional independent parallel DLL approach fails completely. It means that VDLL receiver can get enough total signal power to track successfully to obtain accurate position estimates under the same conditions where the signal strength from each individual satellite is so low or week that none of the individual scalar DLL can remain in lock when operating independently. To operate VDLL successfully, it needs to know the initial user dynamics and position and prevents total system from the divergence. The suggested integration method is to use the inertial navigation system to provide initial dynamics for VDLL and to maintain total system stable. We designed the GPS/INS integrated navigation system. This new type of integrated system contained the vector pseudorange format generation block, VDLL signal processing block, position estimation block and the conversion block from position change to delay time feedback term aided by INS.

  • In this paper, a sensorless speed control system is designed for the next generation high speed railway at zero and low speed region. The applied vector control scheme is a maximum torque per ampere(MTPA) method to utilize reluctance torque of IPMSM. The designed sensorless control scheme is a rotating high frequency voltage signal injection method. To verify the designed system, a simulator for the vector controller and sensorless controller is implemented using Matlab/simulink.
