  • In this paper, we present a way that can implement the vector control Algorithm of induction motor and PWM signal generation on the basis of Matlab Simulink environment. The overall system model is designed by Simulink toolbox for vector control of induction motor, and then implement experiment with the DS1103 board of dSPACE. Although we are not coding the system, it is capable of doing simulation and experiment simultaneously. That is why Matlab and dSPACE board compiler can generate the '*.c' and '*.obj' files on the designed system automatically. After considering about hardware structure and driving system in Ds1103 board we verify the availability of Proposed method through in a comparison/analysis between simulation and experiment.

  • In this paper, three dimensional magnetostatic fields are analysed using tetrahedral edge elements, magnetic vector potential and modified formulation of weighted residual method. If we define unknown variables in mesh edges, some conditions, such as Coulomb gauge condition in magnetic vector potential are naturally satisfied. So with less memory space, we can obtain more accurate solutions than the method where unknown variables are defined at nodes. Reliability and utility of this method are verified in two examples.

  • Previously we formulated new cationic liposomes, DDC, composed of DOTAP. DOPE, and cholesterol (Chol) in 1 : 0.7 : 0.3 molar ratios, and showed that DDC efficiently deliver the plasmid DNA into ovarian cancer cell lines. Here, wild type p53 DNA was transfected into ovarian cancer cells, using the DOC as a nonviral vector and the expression and activity of p53 gene were evaluated in vitro and in vivo. The complexes of plasmid DNA (pp53-EGFP) and DDC were transfected into OVCAR-3 cells. The gene expression was determined by RT -PCR and western blot analysis. (omitted)

  • This paper presents a new algorithm to determine the receiver position in satellite navigation for GPS(Global Positioning System). The algorithm which based on vector analysis is able to obtain simultaneously the receiver position and the direction vector which is from the receiver position to a satellite. In its first calculation stage it, does riot require the complex initial value which is used in the previous works and affects the accuracy of the observed receiver position. Furthermore, the algorithm tells us whether a selected configuration among the visible satellites is good or poor for the accuracy. Comparing the algorithm with the previous method, the effectiveness of the algorithm is verified through the experimental simulations.

Effect of Noise on The Estimation of Motion vector (잡음이 이동벡터 추정에 미치는 영향)

  • The techniques for the estimation of motion vector from the image sequence assume implicitly that the intensity of image is constant through the time. But this assumption can be distored by such causes as the added noises and the sub-pel motion following the sampling, and the errors can be generated on the motion estimation by the change of intensity. In this paper, we analyzed theoretically the effect of the change of intensity by the noise on the motion estimation with the white Gaussian noise. We know a fact that the signal may be fluctuated to reduce the effect of the noise and so the sampling rate have to make down. Also we confirmed the theoretically analysis through the experiments which investigated the relation between the noises and the sampling rates.

A study on the effect of inverter nonlinear characteristic on the flux estimation of an induction motor (인버터의 비선형 특성이 유도전동기의 자속 추정에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, the analysis on type effect of inverter output voltage distortion on the control of an induction motor is discussed. The inverter output voltage is distorted differently from the reference voltage owing to the inverter nonlinear characteristic. The inverter nonlinear characteristic results from the voltage drop, the inherent characteristic of the power semiconductor, and the dead time for preventing the short circuit of the inverter leg. This characteristic distorts the inverter output voltage and then, causes the motor flux estimation error. Although this characteristics do not significantly effect in the general-purpose induction motor control, but significantly effect on the low-speed operation of high performance motor control such as the sensorless vector control.

  • In this study, we propose a integrated model of logistic regression, artificial neural networks, support vector machines(SVM), with case-based reasoning(CBR). To predict respondents in the direct marketing is the binary classification problem as like bankruptcy prediction, IDS, churn management and so on. To solve the binary problems, we employed logistic regression, artificial neural networks, SVM. and CBR. CBR is a problem-solving technique and shows significant promise for improving the effectiveness of complex and unstructured decision making, and we can obtain excellent results through CBR in this study. Experimental results show that the classification accuracy of integration model using CBR is superior to logistic regression, artificial neural networks and SVM. When we apply the customer response model to predict respondents in the direct marketing, we have to consider from the view point of profit/cost about the misclassification.

  • When we analyze the magnetostatic problem by the FEM, it is a traditional method to use the magnetic vector potential as an unknown variable.(abbreviated to A Method) Therefore, we should differentiate this magnetic vector potential to get the magnetic flux density. In this procedure of differentiation, the accuracy of the calculation is reduced. In order to overcome this problem, this paper uses the magnetic flux density as an unknown variable.(abbreviated to B Method) The validity of this new method (B Method) to use the magnetic flux density directly as an unknown variable, is ensured as the result of the application example researches.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analysis and develop theoretically the characteristics of tubular linear induction motor, which is a special industrial motor that generates directly thrust force from electrical power. The Poisson equation about vector potential which is created by the application of Maxwell electromagnetic equation with the speed considered, results in modified Bessel equation by the assumption that is applied to each region of the experimental motor. Vector potential, magnetic flux density, secondary current, and thrust force according to its region respectively were found out by substituting boundary condition for this equation and rearranging. Besides, a attendant materials, that is, thermal characteristic, which is one of the characteristics under the operation of experimental motor each part's magnetic flux distribution characteristics within active zone, the required time for reciprocating motion, and variation of power factor vs. a slip were found.

  • This paper deals with the power loss analysis of voltage source type space voltage vector modulated soft switching inverter, and proposed the new voltage vector correction principle during one sampling period on realize high quality cutput voltage waveforms for two soft-swiching approches. The operating pinciple of a single active auxiliary resonant DC link snubber circuit is described. Moreover, the effectiveness of soft switching inverter operating under the corrected voltage pattern is proved on the basis of simulation and experimental results.
