General Mechanical Structures have various and complex vibration transmission paths. In order to identify the mechanism of vibration transmission. The correct estimation of exciation forces and the exact modeling of transmission paths are required. In this paper, vector synthesis technique is employed to identify the characteristics of vibration input and it's transmission to body structure for the mounting system of a compressor in a refrigerator. Vibration reduction efficiency of each transmission path is evaluated by comparing individual vector components obtained before and after the paths from experimental research. The degree of effect is used to estimate the contribution of vibration input components to total output. And this paper presents a new technique based on simulation studies using vector synthesis dragram, by which the effects of change of the magnitude and phase of transmission paths can be predicted.

With the study for identifying the transmission characteristics of vibration and noise generated by operating engine system of a vehicle, recently many engineers have studied actively the reduction of vibration and noise inducing uncomfortableness to the passenger. In this study, output noise was analyzed by multi-dimensional spectral analysis and vector synthesis method. The multi-dimensional analysis method is very effective in case of identification of primary source, but this method has little effect on suggestion for interior noised reduction. For compensation of this, vector synthesis method was used to obtain effective method for interior noise reduction, after identifying primary source for output noise. In this paper, partial coherence function of each input was calculated to know which input was most coherent to output noise, then with simulation of changes for input magnitude and phase by vector synthesis diagram, the trends of synthesized output vector was obtained. As a result, the change of synthesized output vector could be estimated.
A large-scale synthesis database for a unit selection based synthesis method usually retains redundant synthesis unit instances, which are useless to the synthetic speech quality. In this paper, to eliminate those instances from the synthesis database, we proposed a new pruning method called weighted vector quantization (WVQ). The WVQ reflects relative importance of each synthesis unit instance when clustering the similar instances using vector quantization (VQ) technique. The proposed method was compared with two conventional pruning methods through the objective and subjective evaluations of the synthetic speech quality: one to simply limit maximum number of instance, and the other based on normal VQ-based clustering. The proposed method showed the best performance under 50% reduction rates. Over 50% of reduction rates, the synthetic speech quality is not seriously but perceptibly degraded. Using the proposed method, the synthesis database can be efficiently reduced without serious degradation of the synthetic speech quality.

A passenger vehicle has various and complicated transmission paths of sound and vibration. In order to identify the mechanism of transfer path, estimation of excitation force and exact modeling of transfer path are required. In this paper vector synthesis technique is employed to identify the characteristics of road noise and its transmission to vehicle compartment through noise and vibration analysis. Vibration reduction efficiency of each transfer path is evaluated by comparing individual vector components obtained virtual simulation. The degree of effect is used to estimate the contribution of vibration input components to total output. And in this paper presents a new technique based on simulation studies using vector synthesis diagram and design of experiments, by which the effects of magnitude and phase change of input paths can be predicted.

In this paper, an effective mount design method using vector synthesis is presented for two mount systems. For designing mount stiffnesses effectively, we perform a sensitivity analysis, i.e, identify the contribution rate of an input component vector to the total output vector. Especially, we show that it is necessary to takea phase sensitivity into consideration in case of two mount systems, such as the excavator mount systems having engine mounts and cabin mounts. THe proposed method is testified is testified through an test bed.

The structure has several types of noise and booming noise of a vehicle is usually caused by the vibration of the vehicle's body transmitted from the engine through the mounting system. Vector synthesis analysis is performed to predict the booming noise when the characteristic of the engine mounting system is changed., i.e., when magnitudes and phases of vibratory forces after the mounts are altered. To use this method effectively, the concept of Multi-dimensional-analysis and Experimental Design are introduced to identify the contributions of each vibration sources and transmission paths to interior noise. It was used 3inputs/1output system and found the magnitudes and phases of the forces for minimizing the noise. Finally, the synthesized interior booming noise level is predicted by the vector synthesis diagram. It is shown that the vector synthesis method can be used to obtain the optimum design characteristic of the mounting system to control the interior booming noise of a vehicle.

The booming noise of a vehicle is usually caused by the vibration of the vehicle's body transmitted from the engine through the mounting system. Thus the engine mounting system must be cautiously designed to reduce the noise. Vector synthesis analysis is performed to predict the booming noise when the characteristic of the engine mounting system is changed., i.e., when magnitudes and phases of vibratory forces after the mounts are altered. To effectively use the method, the concept of 'effectiveness' is introduced to identify the contributions of each vibration sources and transmission paths to interior noise. When the magnitudes and phases of the forces due to the engine vibration are changed, the synthesized interior booming noise level is predicted by the vector synthesis diagram. Thus, the optimum characteristics of the forces are obtained through the simulations of the vector synthesis analysis. It is shown that the vector synthesis method can be used to obtain the optimum design characteristic of the mounting system to control the interior booming noise of a vehicle.

With the recent growth of the AI speaker market, the demand for speech synthesis technology that enables natural conversation with users is increasing. Therefore, there is a need for a multi-speaker speech synthesis system that can generate voices of various tones. In order to synthesize natural speech, it is required to train with a large-capacity. high-quality speech DB. However, it is very difficult in terms of recording time and cost to collect a high-quality, large-capacity speech database uttered by many speakers. Therefore, it is necessary to train the speech synthesis system using the speech DB of a very large number of speakers with a small amount of training data for each speaker, and a technique for naturally expressing the tone and rhyme of multiple speakers is required. In this paper, we propose a technology for constructing a speaker encoder by applying the deep learning-based x-vector technique used in speaker recognition technology, and synthesizing a new speaker's tone with a small amount of data through the speaker encoder. In the multi-speaker speech synthesis system, the module for synthesizing mel-spectrogram from input text is composed of Tacotron2, and the vocoder generating synthesized speech consists of WaveNet with mixture of logistic distributions applied. The x-vector extracted from the trained speaker embedding neural networks is added to Tacotron2 as an input to express the desired speaker's tone.

Vehicle interior noise has become increasingly important in this recent years. The noise of a vehicle is one of the important problems in a vehicle design. The interior noise is caused by various vibration sources of vehicle compartment. The booming noise of a vehicle can be significantly affected by vibrations transmitted from engine excitation forces to the vehicle body. Specially, we are interested in the state of transmission paths such as engine mounts to reduce noise in a vehicle compartment. In this paper, we have been calculated the contribution of each transmission path such as engine mounts to interior noise. To identify contribution of each input sources and transmission paths to output, the effectiveness of each input component to output is calculated. Sensitivity analysis is carried out for investigation of contribution to output due to input variations. With the simulation of magnitude and phase change of inputs using vector synthesis diagram, the trends of synthesized output vector are obtained. As a result, we suggested sensitivity analysis of vector synthesis as a technique of prediction and control for noise in a vehicle compartment.

This paper deals with the parallel operation of space vector PWM for large capacity inverter system. To enlarge the capacity of inverter system and to reduce the current ripples on inverter output side, two or more inverters are operated in parallel. In this paper, a new parallel operation strategy which minimizes the harmonic distortion of the output stage is described. The proposed method is developed on the basis of the space-vector PWM in order to increase the linearly controllable voltage range. With the help of the proposed voltage synthesis method, the total harmonic distortion of the output stage can be greatly reduced in compared with that of conventional method with sinusoidal PWM or that of the single inverter operation case. The experimental results with reduced scale test show the feasibility of the proposed voltage synthesis method.
