  • This paper is concerned with the control problem $$ \dot{x}(t) = F(x) + u(t)G(x), t \in [0,T], x(0) = 0, $$ where F and G are smooth vector fields on $R^n$, and the admissible controls u satisfy the constraint $$\mid$u(t)$\mid$ \leq 1$. We provide the sufficient condition that the bang-bang trajectories having different switching orders intersect.

효율적인 벡터 경계요소법에 의한 3차원 축대칭 도천체의 와전류 해석 (Eddy Current Analysis by Efficient Vectorial Boundary Element Method for 3-Dimensional Axisymmetric conductor)

  • The eddy currents of 3-dimensional conductin medium are calculated using vectorial Boundary element Method with vector variables E and H. Boundary edge basis vectors are used to expand the tangential components of E and H fields. Especially for axisymmetric conductor the computer storage and the computation time are greatly saved with the help of block-circulant boundary meshes. to verify this method eddy currents of conducting sphere are computed and show good agreements with the analytic solutions.

  • We propose a new method to deal with the optimized auto-tuning for the PID controller which is used to the process -control in various fields. First of all, in this method, initial values of DC motor are determined by the Ziegler-Nichols method. Finally, after studying the parameters of PID controller by input vector of multiple regression analysis, when we give new K, L, T values to multiple regression model, the optimized parameters of PID controller is found by multiple regression analysis program.

  • In this study, we obtain the spherical images of minimal curves in the complex space in ℂ4 which are obtained by translating Cartan frame vector fields to the centre of hypersphere, and present their properties such as becoming isotropic cubic, pseudo helix, and spherical involutes. Also, we examine minimal curves which are characterized by a system of differential equations.

  • In this paper we consider a condition on the Ricci curvature involving vector fields which enabled us to achieve new results for volume comparison and Laplacian comparison. These results in special case obtained with considering volume non-collapsing condition. Also, by applying this condition we get new results of volume comparison for almost Ricci solitons.

  • In this paper, we introduce the notion of cyclic structure Jacobi semi-symmetric real hypersurfaces in the complex hyperbolic quadric Qm* = SO02,m/SO2SOm. We give a classifiction of when real hypersurfaces in the complex hyperbolic quadric Qm* having 𝔄-principal or 𝔄-isotropic unit normal vector fields have cyclic structure Jacobi semi-symmetric tensor.

  • The present article contains the study of D-homothetically deformed f-Kenmotsu manifolds. Some fundamental results on the deformed spaces have been deduced. Some basic properties of the Riemannian metric as an inner product on both the original and deformed spaces have been established. Finally, applying the obtained results, soliton functions, Ricci curvatures and scalar curvatures of almost Riemann solitons with several kinds of potential vector fields on the deformed spaces have been characterized.

Influences of Viscous Losses and End Effects on Liquid Metal Flow in Electromagnetic Pumps

  • Analyses of the viscous and end effects on electromagnetic (EM) pumps of annular linear induction type for the sodium coolant circulation in Liquid Metal Fast Breeder Reactors have been carried out based on the MHD laminar flow analysis and the electromagnetic field theory. A one-dimensional MHD analysis for the liquid metal flowing through an annular channel has been performed on the basis of a simplified model of equivalent current sheets instead of three-phase currents in the discrete primary windings. The calculations show that the developed pressure difference resulted from electromagnetic and viscous forces in the liquid metal is expressed in terms of the slip, and that the viscous loss effects are negligible compared with electromagnetic driving forces except in the low-slip region where the pumps operate with very high flow velocities comparable with the synchronous velocity of the electromagnetic fields, which is not applicable to the practical EM pumps. A two-dimensional electromagnetic field analysis based on an equivalent current sheet model has found the vector potentials in closed form by means of the Fourier transform method. The resultant magnetic fields and driving forces exerted on the liquid metal reveal that the end effects due to finiteness of the pump length are formidable. In addition, a two-dimensional numerical analysis for vector potentials has been performed by the SOR iterative method on a realistic EM pump model with discretely-distributed currents in the primary windings. The numerical computations for the distributions of magnetic fields and developed pressure differences along the pump axial length also show considerable end effects at both inlet and outlet ends, especially at high flow velocities. Calculations of each magnetic force contribution indicate that the end effects are originated from the magnetic force caused by the induced current ( u x B ) generated by the liquid metal movement across the magnetic field rather than the one (E) produced by externally applied magnetic fields by three-phase winding currents. It is concluded that since the influences of the end effects in addition to viscous losses are extensive particularly in high-velocity operations of the EM pumps, it is necessary to find ways to suppress them, such as proper selection of the pump parameters and compensation of the end effects.

벡타 연산을 효율적으로 수행하기 위한 다중 스레드 구조 (A Multithreaded Architecture for the Efficient Execution of Vector Computations)

  • 본 논문에서는 벡타연산을 효율적으로 수행하고 대단위 병렬시스템을 지원하는 다중 스레드구조, MULVEC(MULtithreaded architecture of the VEctor Computations) 을 제시한다. MULVEC은 데이타플로우 모델에 수퍼 스칼라 RISC 마이크로 프로세서를 갖는 기존의 폰 노이만 모델을 도입하였다. 그리고 동일한 스레드 세그멘트내에 벡타 연산이 반복되는 경우에 상태필드를 이용하여 동기화의 수를 감축시켰으며, 이에 의해 문맥전환 횟수, 통신량 등을 감소시켰다. 그리고 노드 수의 변화에 대한 MULVEC의 성능평가(프로그램들의 수행시간, 프로세서들의 이용율)와 *T의 성능평가(프로그램의 수행시간)를 SPARC station 20 (super scalar RISC microprocessor)에서 시뮬레이션을 하였으며, 노드의 수, 루프의 반복홋수 등에 따라 프로그램의 수행시간이 MULVEC이 *T보 다 약 1-2배 정도 빠르다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

전송 오류를 은닉하기 위한 옵티컬 플로우 기반의 움직임 벡터 복원 (Motion Vector Recovery Based on Optical Flow for Error Concealment)

  • 동영상 압축 비트열은 전송 오류에 매우 민감하다. 만일 전송열 패킷이 손실되거나 손상되어 수신되면, 현재 복호하는 화면 뿐만 아니라, 연속적으로 복호될 화면들에도 화질 저하를 초래한다. 오류은닉 기술은 오류가 없이 수신된 영상 정보를 이용하여 손상된 부분을 은폐하여 화질 저하를 최소화시키는 기법이다. 한가지 방법은 손상된 매크로블록의 움직임 벡터를 추정하고 추정된 움직임 벡터를 이용하여 움직임 보상함으로써 손상된 부분을 은닉시키는 방법이 있다. 본 논문에서는 매크로블록의 왜곡 모델을 제시하여 손상된 매크로블록의 추정된 움직임 벡터로 움직임 보상하여 은폐하는 방법이 타당함을 증명한다. 오류은닉의 성능을 향상시키기위해 옵티컬 플로우 기반의 움직임 벡터 추정 방법을 제안하고 다른 움직임 벡터 복원에 의한 오류은닉 방법들과 성능을 비교한다. 또한 제안된 방법은 기존의 방법들보다 계산량이 적은 장점이있다.
