A new tall fescue variety (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.) named "Greenmaster" was developed by the National Institute of Animal Science, RDA, at Suwon from 1999 to 2007. For synthetic seed production of this new variety, 5 superior clones, EFa9111, EFa9122, EFa9211, EFa9225, and EFa9234 were selected and polycrossed. The agronomic growth characteristics and forage production capability of the seeds were studied at Suwon from 2003 to 2004, and regional trials were conducted in Suwon, Pyungchang, Jeju, and Ikcsan from 2005 to 2007. Greenmaster showed enhanced winter hardiness, disease resistance, and regrowth ability as compared to Fawn. The dry matter yield of Greenmaster was 11% higher as 19,156 kg/ha than that of Fawn. However, the nutritive value of both varieties was similar.

The newly proposed model of the future reliability results in earlier fault-fixes having a greater effect than the fault which make the greatest contribution to the overall failure rate tend to show themselves earlier, and so are fixed earlier. The suggested model allows a variety of reliability measures to be calculated. Predictions of total execution time(debugging time) is to achieve a target reliability. This model could also apply to computer-hardware reliability growth resulting from the elimination of design error and fault.

Some of the dammarane-type saponins. ginsenosides of Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer (Araliaceae) are now well established as a potent chemotherapeutic agent against a wide variety of aliments. Its various pharmacological and biological activities have been thoroughly reviewed (S. Shibata, 2001). The limited supply of the drug from the original source. the hairy root of the Panax ginseng promoted intense efforts to develop alternate sources and means of production. (omitted)

To date, many researchers have developed a variety of biosensors to detect the biomolecular interactions. Recently, electrochemical biosensors have been attracting great interest as one of key technologies in a ubiquitous healthcare (U-healthcare) system since they are highly sensitive and feasible to miniaturize. Here we overview the current electrochemical biosensors based on strip-type, nanowire/nanotube, field effect transistor (FET), and nanogap electrode.

Zellner(1994) introduced the notion of a balanced loss function in the context of a general liner model to reflect both goodness of fit and precision of estimation. We study the perspective of unifying a variety of results both frequentist and Bayesian from Poisson distributions. We show that frequentist and Bayesian results for balanced loss follow from and also imply related results for quadratic loss functions reflecting only precision of estimation. Several examples are given for Poisson distribution.

Peroxynitrite (ONOO), a potent cytotoxic oxidant formed by the reaction of nitric oxide (ㆍNO) and superoxide radical (ㆍO$_2$), reacts rapidly to cause of oxidization and nitration process. The importance of the regulation of ONOO$^{-}$ has been recently recognized because of the lack of specific endogenous enzymes against ONOO$^{-}$. Coffee that is a complex mixture containing a variety of components has been reported to have both beneficial and hazardous effects.
