광도전성저항 안정화회로를 채택한 가변온도형 열선유속계의 출력특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Output Characteristics of a Variable Temperature Anemometer Adopting a Photoconductive Cell and Stabilizing Circuit)

  • Variable temperature anemometer(VTA) has greater sensitivity than a conventional constant temperature anemometer(CTA). In order to design a reliable VTA system, however, an elaborate photoconductive cell stabilizing circuit which plays a key role in setting wire-overheat ratio should be firstly developed. In this study, a stabilizing circuit which adopts proportional-integral analog controller was proposed and thoroughly tested for its accuracy and reproducibility. In contrast to the available circuit suggested by Takagi, the present circuit has characteristic that the resistance of a photoconductive cell increases with the increase of input voltage, which makes the current circuit very suitable for the design of VTA. Finally, VTA adopting stabilizing circuit was made and the enhanced sensitivity of the VTA was validated experimentally by comparing the calibration curves of VTA and CTA.

  • Statisticians, or data miners, are often requested to assess the importances of input variables in the given supervised learning model. For the purpose, one may rely on separate ad hoc measures depending on modeling types, such as linear regressions, the neural networks or trees. Consequently, the conceptual consistency in input variable importance measures is lacking, so that the measures cannot be directly used in comparing different types of models, which is often done in data mining processes, In this short communication, we propose a unified approach to the importance measurement of input variables. Our method uses sensitivity analysis which begins by perturbing the values of input variables and monitors the output change. Research scope is limited to the models for continuous output, although it is not difficult to extend the method to supervised learning models for categorical outcomes.

  • In this paper, a novel Programmable Signal Conditioner(PSC) for Thermo Couple(T/C) without variable-resistance is proposed. It is fabricated by using a fully digitalized error-correction and calibration algorithm. In signal processing of T/C, since the output voltage of T/C is nonlinear and its level is very low, the circuitry become very complicated to reduce the converting error and identify the true thermal voltage signal. The newly proposed PSC has compensation and calibration algorithm not using variable resistor. Moreover structure can be very simple and it has highly precise output characteristics.

  • A variable structure control scheme(VSCS) with sliding mode that can be applied to the process with input/output(I/O) delay is proposed and its control performances is evaluated. The proposed VSCS with and output feedback scheme comprises a variable structure controller, a servo dynamic for tracking the set-poing, and a Smith predictor for compensating the effects of time delay. The robustness against the parameter variations and external disturbances can be achieved by the proposed VSCS even when the controlled process includes I/O delay. And the desired transient response is obtained by simple adjustment of the coefficients of the switching surface equation.

  • Sensorless PMSM is much studied for the industrial applications and home appliances because a mechanical sensor reduce reliability and increase cost. Most of sensorless algorithms are based on motor equations, and so the magnitude of phase voltage and current should be exactly obtained. However, the inverter output voltage applied to PMSM has relatively large error in the low speed range, and a relatively poor response is shown in the low speed range. This paper investigates the improved performance of sensorless PMSM in the low speed range. This paper proposes the error reduction of inverter output voltage which is realized through the variable link voltage. The proposed algorithm is verified through simulation and experiment.

  • 모델 불확실성이 있고 n축 자유도(degree of freedom)를 갖고 있는 로봇 동작부(manipulator)에 대해서 위치 정보만을 이용하여 가변 구조 제어기(variable structure controller)를 설계하였다. 모델의 불확실성이 존재하는 경우에도 제어기에 사용되는 속도를 잘예측하기 위해 고이득 관찰기를 사용 하였으며 고이득 관찰기를 사용할때 발생할 수 있는 상태변수의 피킹현상(peak phenomenon)를 적게 하게 하기위하여 제어기의 값을 제한 (globally bounded)하여 제어기를 설계하였다. 부하(payload)의 범위만 알고 있는 2축 자유도를 갖는 로봇 동작부에 대해서 제안된 제어 방법에 따라 제어기를 설계하여 그 성능를 확인 하였다.

  • Variable-speed drives are being continually innovated. Recently, sensorless induction motor drives have been much studied due to several advantages. Most sensorless algorithms are based on the mathematical modeling of motors, and all the information is obtained from the monitored voltages and currents. Therefore, the accuracy of such variables largely affects the performance of a sensorless induction motor drive. However, the output voltage of the SVPWM-VSI which is widely used in a sensorless induction motor drive has a considerable error, especially in a low speed range. This paper proposes a variation of the dc link voltage as a high-performance strategy for overcoming the above problem. The proposed strategy leads to an improved resolution of the output voltage of the SVPWM-VSI in a sensorless induction motor drive. Simulation and experiment have been performed for the verification of the proposed strategy.

  • In order to integrate large amounts of variable generation resources such as wind and solar reliably into power grids, accurate renewable energy forecasting is necessary. Since renewable energy generation output is heavily influenced by environmental variables, accurate forecasting of power generation requires meteorological data at the point where the plant is located. Therefore, a spatial approach is required to predict the meteorological variables at the interesting points. In this paper, we propose the meteorological variable prediction model for enhancing renewable generation output forecasting model. The proposed model is implemented by three geostatistical techniques: Ordinary kriging, Universal kriging and Co-kriging.

  • A new improved variable structure controller is designed to drive uncertain linear systems to any given point by using a sliding surface with an integral of state error for removing any reaching phases. Predetermination or prediction of output response is feasible for all the persistent disturbances. The usefulness of the proposed algorithm is verified through an illustrative example.

  • This research paper describes the development of battery charger with a variable output voltage capacity for charging the batteries used in electrical vehicles. The voltage and current accordingly is control via the buck converter that receives three phase current at primary side and fed to bridge rectifier which is comprised of full bridge converter and HFTR(High Frequency Transformer) for isolation and a square wave AC output. The transformer primary side is in series to divide certain charging current and the secondary side is comprised of six fix transformers so that they can generate certain amount of power and various output voltage through relay connection using 6 DC outputs. Moreover, all parallel connected full bridge serial resonant converter communicate together with upper(main) controller. The constructed structure is verified by conducting the test on PSIM as well as experimentally.
