ZnO nanowlres (NWs) were fabricated using Au as catalyst for a method combining laser ablation cluster formation and vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) growth. The target used in synthesis was pure ZnO ceramics. Two different substrates were used; (0001)-oriented sapphires and Au-coated sapphires. The Au thin film was deposited by thermal evaporation and the thickness was about 50 ${\AA}$. ZnO NWs were only formed in case of that used catalyst metal. Field effect scanning electron microscopic (FESEM) investigation showed that the average diameter of ZnO NWs was about 70 nm and the typical lengths varied from $3{\sim}4{\mu}m$.

Organic-inorganic metal halide perovskite solar cells have received attention because it has a number of advantages with excellent light harvesting, high carrier mobility, and facile solution processability and also recorded recently power conversion efficiency (PCEs) of over 20%. The major issue on perovskite solar cells have been reached the limit of small area laboratory scale devices produced using fabrication techniques such as spin coating and physical vapor deposition which are incompatible with low-cost and large area fabrication of perovskite solar cells using printing and coating techniques. To solution these problems, we have investigated the feasibility of achieving fully printable perovskite solar cells by the blade-coating technique. The blade-coating fabrication has been widely used to fabricate organic solar cells (OSCs) and is proven to be a simple, environment-friendly, and low-cost method for the solution-processed photovoltaic. Moreover, the film morphology control in the blade-coating method is much easier than the spray coating and roll-to-roll printing; high-quality photoactive layers with controllable thickness can be performed by using a precisely polished blade with low surface roughness and coating gap control between blade and coating substrate[1]. In order to fabricate perovskite devices with good efficiency, one of the main factors in printed electronic processing is the fabrication of thin films with controlled morphology, high surface coverage and minimum pinholes for high performance, printed thin film perovskite solar cells. Charge dissociation efficiency, charge transport and diffusion length of charge species are dependent on the crystallinity of the film [2]. We fabricated the printed perovskite solar cells with large area and flexible by the bar-coating. The morphology of printed film could be closely related with the condition of the bar-coating technique such as coating speed, concentration and amount of solution, drying condition, and suitable film thickness was also studied by using the optical analysis with SEM. Electrical performance of printed devices is gives hysteresis and efficiency distribution.
In this study, the electrical conductivity, transmittance and gas barrier properties of diamond-like carbon (DLC) thin films were studied. DLC is an insulator, and has transmittance and oxygen gas barrier properties varying depending on the thickness of the thin film. Recently, many researchers have been trying to apply DLC properties to specific industrial conditions. The DLC thin films were deposited by PECVD (Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) process. The doping gas was used for the DLC film to have electrical conductivity, and the optimum conditions of transmittance and gas barrier properties were established by adjusting the gas ratio and DLC thickness. In order to improve the electrical conductivity of the DLC thin film, $N_2$ doping gas was used for $CH_4$ or $C_2H_2$ gas. Then, a heat treatment process was performed for 30 minutes in a box furnace set at $200^{\circ}C$. The lowest sheet resistance value of the DLC film was found to be $18.11k{\Omega}/cm^2$. On the other hand, the maximum transmittance of the DLC film deposited on the PET substrate was 98.8%, and the minimum oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of the DLC film of $C_2H_2$ gas was 0.83.
본 연구에서는 단성분계 산화박막층을 형성하는 방법으로 나노두께의 박막을 형성할 수 있는 능력과 두께조절성이 우수한 PRTMOCVD(pulsed rapid thermal metalorganic chemical vapor deposition) 법이 개발 적용하였다.
The utilization of excess whey is necessary to reduce dairy waste because the large amount of whey disposal in waste streams has caused environmental problems. During whey protein film production as the effective means of utilization of excess whey, we have examined the effects of pH, temperature, and plasticizers for water vapor permeability(WVP), tensile strength(TS), and elongation rate(%E) of the whey protein films. The 10% whey protein films had the highest WVP(28.73g$.$mm/kPa$.$day$.$㎡) and TS(1.85${\pm}$0.11Mpa). But, in this case, an increase of WVP was caused by the thickness of whey protein films. At the concentration of 8% whey protein, appropriate thickness was obtained. Whey protein films prepared at the pH 6.75 and 95$^{\circ}C$ showed lower WVP(28.38g$.$mm/kPa$.$day$.$㎡) and elongation rate(12.9%) and higher TS value(3.769${\pm}$0.407 MPa) than at the pH 6.75 and 75$^{\circ}C$. As the temperature increased, WVP of films decreased slightly and tensile strength increased slightly, while elongation rate decreased significantly. Higher WVP and TS were observed at pH6.75 compared to pH7-9. In contrast, significantly higher elongation was observed at pH 9comapred to pH6.75-8. Among the plasticizer types used, the addition of sorbitol showed the highest TS value(6.244${\pm}$0.297 MPa) at the concentration 0.4g sorbitol and elongation rate(49%) at the concentration of 0.6g sorbitol.
We studied indium-doped zinc oxide (IZO) film grown by atomic layer deposition (ALD) as transparent conductive oxide (TCO). A variety of TCO layer, such as ZnO:Al (AZO), InSnO2(ITO), Zn (O,S) etc, has been grown by various method, such as ALD, chemical vapor deposition (CVD), sputtering, laser ablation, sol-gel technique, etc. Among many deposition methods, ALD has various advantages such as uniformity of film thickness, film composition, conformality, and low temperature deposition, as compared with other techniques. In this study, we deposited indium-doped zinc oxide thin films using diethyl[bis(trimethylsilyl)amido]indium [Et2InN(TMS)2] as indium precursor, DEZn as zinc precursor and H2O as oxidant for ALD and investigated the optical and electrical properties of IZO films. As an alternative, this liquid In precursor would has several advantages in indium oxide thin-film processes by ALD, especially for low resistance indium oxide thin film and high deposition rate as compared to InCp, InCl3, TMIn precursors etc. We found out that Indium oxide films grown by Et2InN(TMS)2 and H2O precursor show ALD growth mode and ALD growth window. We also found out the different growth rate of Indium oxide as the substrate and investigated the effect of the substrate on Indium oxide growth.
Liquid-assisted cleaning technology utilizing a nanosecond laser pulse is effective for removing submicron particulates from a variety of solid substrates. In the technique, saturated vapor is condensed on a solid surface to form a thin liquid film and the film is evaporated explosively by laser heating. The present work studies the role of liquid-film evaporation in the cleaning process. First, optical interferometry is employed for in-situ monitoring the displacement of the laser-irradiated sample in the cleaning process. The experiments are performed for estimating the recoil force exerted on the target with and without liquid deposition. Secondly, time-resolved visualization and optical reflectance probing are also conducted for monitoring the phase-change kinetics and plume dynamics in vaporization of thin liquid layers. Discussions are made on the effect of liquid-film thickness and dynamics of plume and acoustic wave. The results confirm that cleaning force is generated when the bubble nuclei initially grow in the strongly superheated liquid.
This paper describes the characteristics of polycrystalline ${\beta}$ or 3C (cubic)-SiC (silicon carbide) thin films heteroepitaxailly grown on Si wafers with thermal oxide. In this work, the poly 3C-SiC film was deposited by APCVD (atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition) method using HMDS (hexamethyildisilane: $Si_{2}(CH_{3}_{6})$ single precursor. The deposition was performed under various conditions to determine the optimized growth conditions. The crystallinity of the 3C-SiC thin film was analyzed by XPS (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy), XRD (X-ray diffraction) and FT-IR (fourier transform-infrared spectometers), respectively. The surface morphology was also observed by AFM (atomic force microscopy) and voids or dislocations between SiC and $SiO_{2}$ were measured by SEM (scanning electron microscope). Finally, depth profiling was invesigated by GDS (glow discharge spectrometer) for component ratios analysis of Si and C according to the grown 3C-SiC film thickness. From these results, the grown poly 3C-SiC thin film is very good crystalline quality, surface like mirror and low defect. Therfore, the poly 3C-SiC thin film is suitable for extreme environment, Bio and RF MEMS applications in conjunction with Si micromaching.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate on the optimum coating thickness layer of TiC-Al$_2$O$_3$ coated cemented carbide tool. Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) of a thick film of TiC-A1$_2$O$_3$ on a cemented carbide produces an intermediate layer, $1.5mutextrm{m}$, 4.5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 7.5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ 10.5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 4 kind of TiC between the substrate and the $1.5mutextrm{m}$ constant thick A1$_2$O$_3$ coating. Experiments were carried out with the test relationship between coating thickness and shear angle, surface roughness, cutting force, microphotograph of crater wear, flank wear, tool life. From the experimental results, it was found that the optimum coating thickness of TiC-A1$_2$O$_3$ is 6${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. Although the coating thickness layer 9${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. 12${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ have a much loger tool wear than an 3${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 6${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ coating tool in cutting condition feed 0.05mm/rev, and the condition of feed 0.2mm/rev, 0.3mm/rev has upon in the shot time phenomenon of chipping.
