심냉 증류를 통한 전자급 고순도 이산화탄소의 분리 공정에 대한 전산 모사 연구 (A Computer Simulation Study on the Separation Process for Electronic Grade, Highly Pure Carbon Dioxide through a Cryogenic Distillation)

  • In this study, a computer simulation work has been performed for the separation of electronic grade highly pure carbon dioxide more than 7 N purity through a cryogenic distillation process. For the cold utility as a cooling medium for a condenser of the cryogenic distillation column, propylene was utilized as a refrigerant in the vapor-recompression refrigeration cycle. Through this work, it was concluded that the cryogenic distillation column with two stage compression and refrigeration cycle were essential to obtain a highly-pure liquefied CO2.

  • Compressed air represents an energy source and an force-transmission medium for brake systems on medium-heavy and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. However, one disadvantage is the tendency of air to absorb moisture in the form of water vapor. This water vapor condenses once the air, which is heated during compression, cools back to ambient temperature upon emerging from the air compressor. The resulting condensation assumes the form of moisture in pneumatic lines, air tanks, cylinders and valve assemblies and can have negative consequences for the brake system and vehicle safety. The pneumatic systems on today's vehicles are equipped with air dryers, in which the supplied air is dried according to the adsorption principle. In the systems, the compressed air flows through a granular desiccant with molecular sieves which captures the water molecules.

터보 팽창기를 활용한 NGL 회수공정에서 최적의 탈메탄탑의 운전압력 결정을 통한 냉동 소요동력 최소화에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Minimization of the Refrigeration Power Consumptions Through the Determination of Demethanizer Top Pressure in the NGL Recovery Process Using Turbo-expander)

  • 본 연구에서는 전처리 공정을 거친 천연가스로부터 에탄 이상의 성분을 회수하기 위한 탈메탄탑에 대한 전산모사와 공정 최적화를 수행하였다. 전처리된 천연가스는 탈메탄탑 상부의 차가운 기상류와의 열교환 및 프로판 냉동 사이클이 포함된 예냉공정을 거친 후에 기상과 액상이 분리된다. 기상은 터보 팽창기를 거치면서 생산되는 동력을 residue gas의 압력을 높이기 위한 압축기에 전달한 후에 부분적으로 응축되어 탈메탄탑 상부로 주입된다. 액상류는 줄-톰슨 팽창 밸브를 거친 후 더욱 냉각되어 탈메탄탑의 중간부로 주입된다. 원료 대비 에탄의 회수율은 80% 이상으로 정하였으며, 탈메탄탑의 탑저에서 에탄에 대한 메탄의 몰비는 0.0119로 정하였다. 한편 프로판 냉동 사이클의 heat duty를 최소화시키기 위해서 원료를 분리하여 side reboiler와 열교환시킴으로써 냉열의 일부를 회수할 수 있었다.

비단열 모세관 접합방법이 증기압축식 냉동사이클 성능에 미치는 영향 해석 (Analysis of Vapor Compression Refrigeration Cycle Performance Depending on Different Joining Method of Non-adiabatic Capillary Tube)

  • 냉동기는 비단열모세관을 채택하여 사용함으로써 사이클의 효율을 향상시킬 수 있다. 비단열모세관은 모세관과 흡입관을 접합함으로써 둘 사이에 열전달이 일어날 수 있도록 한 장치로서 SLHX 라고 부른다. 두 관을 접합하는 방법은 다양하며 이는 사이클의 성능에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 가장 널리 사용되는 두 가지 접합방법이 냉동사이클에 미치는 영향을 해석하였다. 실험결과 용접형 SLHX의 열저항이 테이프형 SLHX의 열저항 보다 크게 작은 것으로 나타났다. 이를 이용한 사이클해석 결과 용접형 SLHX는 COP 와 냉동능력을 5.09%와 14.77% 향상시키고 테이프형 SLHX는 각각 5.05%와 14.75% 향상시켜 둘 사이의 차이는 매우 작은 것으로 나타났다.

축열조를 이용한 냉매과냉각 시스템의 전력수요관리 효과에 대한 연구 (A Study on the DSM Effect of a Refrigerant-Subcooling Refrigeration System with an Ice Storage Tank)

  • This study was experimentally performed to find the effects of refrigerant subcooling in the refrigeration system and to propose how to get the efficient use of energy. A refrigerant-subcooling refrigeration system consisted of a typical single vapor-compression refrigeration cycle, a subcooler, and an ice storage tank. The degree of subcooling at the exit of the condenser can be increased by the heat transfer between the subcooler and the ice storage tank. The cold heat in the ice storage tank was stored by using the refrigeration cycle during night time and then used to absorb the heat from the subcooler during daytime. The cooling capacity and COP of this system were higher than those of the conventional system due to the increase in the degree of subcooling. Typically, the refrigerant-subcooling system showed superior performance to the conventional refrigeration system and would also contribute to load leveling.

Generally, the refrigerant-subcooling system showed superior performance to the conventional refrigeration system.

통신기지국용 하이브리드 냉방기의 성능특성 연구 (Performance Characteristics of a Hybrid Air-Conditioner for Telecommunication Equipment Rooms)

  • The power density and heat dissipation rate per unit area of the telecommunication equipment have been increased with the technology development in the footprint of telecommunication hardware. A proper heat dissipation method from the PCB module is very important to allow reliable operation of its electronic component. In this study, a hybrid air-conditioner for the telecommunication equipment room was designed to save energy and obtain system reliability. For high outdoor temperatures, the hybrid system operates in the vapor compression cycle, while, for low outdoor temperatures, the hybrid system works in the secondary fluid cooling cycle with no operation of the compressor. The performance of the hybrid air-conditioner was measured by varying outdoor and indoor temperatures. The hybrid air-conditioner yielded 50% energy saving compared with the conventional refrigeration system when the mode switch temperature was $8.3^{\circ}C$.

  • 본 고에서는 지금까지 연구 개발 된 제반 태양열 냉방시스템의 개요 및 원리와 기술현황에 대하여 소개하였다. 소개된 기술은 $LiBr-H_2O,\;H_2O-NH_3,\;CaCl_2-NH_3$을 이용한 태양열 흡수식 냉방시스템; 활성탄, 실리탄, 실리카겔 등을 이용하는 제습냉방(desiccant cooling)시스템; Ranking engine을 이용하는 증기압축식 냉방시스템; $Zeolite-H_2O$, 실리카겔-$H_2O$, 실리카겔-메탄을 활성탄-메탄을 등 "고체흡착제-냉매"를 이용한 태양열 흡착식 냉동시스템 등이다. 이들 기술들을 실용화 단계에 있거나 실용화 단계에는 못 미치나 상당한 기술개발이 되어있는 분야이다. 또한 각 시스템별 비교분석이 가능하도록 대략적인 효율과 장단점이 소개되었다.

냉동기 펌프다운 운전성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on Pump Down Operation Performance of Refrigerator)

  • Vapor compression refrigerators have much critical variables such as the controls of temperature and pressure switches, control durations and operating hours of electronic valves. This study compares and analyzes the data which is obtained from system controlling of the evaporation temperatures which are generally used in automatic pump down operating systems. Through this study, the automatic evaporation control operation system will be more ideal for the system to keep the proper temperature distribution depending on the purpose of evaporation side. The automatic pump down control operation is more appropriate for the system to aim at the effective use of evaporation side without using the temperature difference. And this test will be proved that the changes at the low pressure side didn't have significant impacts on the high pressure side.

  • Spray as a liquid atomization technique has wide applications of combustion, painting, chemical, medical and agricultural purpose, and so on. Capillary tubes and expansion valves, as an expansion device of vapor compression type refrigerators, has been used from the early time. But there are some problems in practice, the former can't control refrigerant flowrate exactly and the later most of imported are expensive relatively and has some difficulties to install. Choosing an injector as a new concept of expansion device of refrigerator in this study to improve such troubles of the coming expansion device, the refrigerant spray behavior and refrigeration characteristics are evaluated experimentally. It is verified that the injector with a good function of refrigerant atomization plays a desirable role of refrigerant expansion in the actual refrigeration cycle.
