스파터링 조건이 FeMn계 top 스핀 밸브의 exchange bias 및 자기적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of sputtering conditions on the exchange bias and giant magnetoresistance in Si/Ta/NiFe/CoFe/Cu/CoFe/FeMn/Ta spin valves)

  • 6개의 타겟을 가진 직류 마그네트론 방식을 이용하여 스파터링 전력 및 압력을 변화시켜 Si/Ta(50 $\AA$)NiFe(60 $\AA$)/CoFe(20 $\AA$)/Cu(26 $\AA$)/CoFe(40 $\AA$)/FeMn(150 $\AA$)Ta(50 $\AA$) 스핀 밸브 박막을 제조하여 교환자기이방성 및 자기적 특성을 조사하였다. FeMn 층의 증착시 스파터링 전력을 증가시킴으로써 교환이방성을 증가시킬 수 있었으며, X-선 회절 실험결과 스파터링 전력 증가에 따른 교환이방성의 증가는 FeMn (111)면의 우선성장 발달에 기인하는 것으로 판단되었다. 강자성상을 사이에 두고 있는 Cu의 스파터링 압력을 1-5 mTorr 증가시 교환이방성이 급격히 감소하며, 자기저항비 및 자장민감도도 감소하였다. Si/Ta/NiFe/CoFe/Cu(t), 30 W/CoFe, 100 W/FeMn, 100 W/Ta 스핀 밸브에서 Cu 두께를 22-38 $\AA$까지 변화시켜 자기저항비를 조사한 결과 Cu의 두께가 22 $\AA$일 때 자기저항비 6.5%까지 얻을 수 있었으며, Cu 두께를 감소시켜 교환이방성을 증가시킬 수 있었다. 이와 같은 Cu 두께 감소에 따른 교환이방성의 증가는 FM-AFM 스핀-스핀 상호작용에 의하여 설명하였다.

Elliptical EHL Contacts under Dynamic Loading Conditions in HERB Drive

  • Ball reducer (HERB Drive: High Efficient Wave Rolling Ball Drive) with waved grooves has many advantages over other types of reducers for high-reduction ratio, low noise and low energy loss, etc. The mechanism of force transmission is very similar to that of cam and follower in automobile valve train system especially in contact behaviors. In this study, we have investigated the traces of contact between ball and outer ring, and the dynamic contact behaviors of elastohydodynamic lubrication(EHL) with a certain reduction ratio. In order to verify the contact behaviors between ball and outer ring for the critical endurance lift, the contact velocity and load are computed for a cycle. During some intervals of a cycle, the contact velocity reverses its direction very suddenly. It is expected that changing the contact direction causes undesirable endurance performance because EHL film frequently col lapse at the moment of velocity reversal. From the computational investigation in this work, we hope to predict similar contact damages in other machinery due to this kind of contact behaviors, which is very typical in many contact phenomena.

유압 피스톤 펌프 소재의 마모 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Wear Property of Oil Hydraulic Piston Pump Material)

  • Oil hydraulic piston pumps are being extensively used in the world, because of simple design, light weight and effective cost etc. An oil hydraulic pump is likely to have serious problems of high leakage, friction and low energy efficiency according to large time use. In the oil hydraulic piston pumps the clearance between the valve block and piston plays an important role for volumetric and overall efficiency. In this paper, the wear property of the SACM645 material used the hydraulic piston pump has been work out by experimentation with variable heat treatment. To investigate the effect according to the piston surface condition, seven different types specimen were prepared. From the wear test results, induction hardening and nitration were definitely superior to the others. On the whole, nitration was estimated for high strength material to wear resistance.

복합재항공기 연료시스템의 낙뢰보호설계 및 인증 연구 (Research on Aircraft Lightning Protection Design and Certification of Fuel System in Composite Material)

  • Lightning protective design of an aircraft fuel system is closely related to the safety of the flight. Recently, composite material in building an aircraft becomes more important because it can reduce the weight of the aircraft. The composite materials decrease the protection against the effect of lightning. Lightning protective design of metal material aircraft has been researched for a long time and the design technique has been announced widely. However, research on the lightning protective design using composite material aircraft is very limited. In this study, lightning protective design for fuel tank structural component, access cover, fuel filler cap and drain valve in carbon fiber composite material aircraft have been presented. To show the compliance with FAA airworthiness standard regarding the presented protection designs, three steps, including lightning strike analysis, lightning environment analysis and certification test, were conducted in accordance with FAA AC 20-53.

소방안전을 위한 독립 스프링클러 개발 (Development of Independent Sprinkler for Fire Safety)

  • Sprinklers are a necessary device for the early suppression of fires to prevent large fires. The installation has been obligatory for certain buildings recently through the digestion method. In an aging building, it is difficult to find sprinklers, because of their significant cost, long installation times, and they require installation by experts. That is why we are able to install all, was designed with enough independent integrated sprinklers with fire-extinguishing capabilities. The designed sprinklers are fitted with a conventional sprinkler head in a container of 20cm * 20cm * 10cm. Inside the container and potassium carbonate, which warms the rubber material and the plate line by pressing the potassium carbonate, the line weight is a 5kg pressing plate at the entrance at the pressure of 0.5Mpa when operating. The glass sprinkler valve blocking the entrance at about $68^{\circ}C$ is operated open. At this time, the potassium out of the digestive fire to combustible materials and heat off a chain reaction.

자동차용 기관의 냉각수 온도조절 최적화에 관한 연구(I) (A Study on the Optimum Cooling Water Temperature Control of an Automotive Engine(I))

  • The purpose of this study is to consider the performance and exhaust characteristics in the practical engine according to the cooling water temperature change of engine and to set up the optimum cooling condition and to obtain the optimum operating condition of thermostat in the cooling system. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, authors have used the following procedure. 1. This study is to investigate the influence of the cooling water temperature on the engine performance and the exhaust gas, authors regulated the cooling water temperature by using the special closing circuit and measured the concentration of exhaust gas by using the exhaust gas measuring system in the exhaust pipe. 2. This study carried out the experiment by regulating the opening degree of throttle valve and engine speed in the dynamometer and by changing the cooling water temperature, at the same time kept air-fuel ratio constant and made the spark ignition time MBT(Minimum spark advance for Best Torque) 3. This study measured the cooling water temperature by using the K-type thermocouple centring around the easy over-heated parts and by installing a special closing circuit. Therefore, in this study, authors intend to examine the influence of the cooling water temperature on the engine performance, exhaust gas and present the basic materials needed in the engine design including the optimum operating time control system for the cooling water temperature.

이매패류 화석의 미구조와 화학조성에 따른 색깔변화 (Color Change by Microstructure and Chemical Composition of Bivalve Fossils)

  • 이매패류 화석의 미구조를 박편상에서 관찰하면 시대가 오래된 것일수록 방해석의 재결정작용으로 인하여 성장선이 대부분 지워지는 반면 시대가 젊거나 현생의 이매패류는 매우 세밀한 성장선 및 구조가 그대로 보존된다. 패각이속성작용을 겪으면서 각피성분이 없어지고 외부에 노출되어 패각의 구성 물질인 Ca$^{2+}$이 주위 퇴적물에 존재하던 Fe$^{2+}$, Mg$^{2+}$, Mn$^{2+}$ 등과 치환되면서 색깔이 검게 된다. 이 과정에서 화석에서는 Ca함량이 낮아지는 대신 다른 금속의 함량이 높아진다. 자외선 및 가시광선 분광 분석 결과 반사도는 백악기 화석에서 현저히 낮고 제3기 화석 및 현생에서 비교적 높게 나타나며, 이는 주요 금속이온의 치환에 영향을 받는다는 사실을 알 수 있다.

배관의 Ice Plugging에 의하여 유발되는 열응력의 실험적 규명 (Experimental Evaluation on the Thermal Stress Due to Ice Plugging of Tubes in Nuclear Power Plant)

  • Ice-plugging of tube in nuclear power plant has been widely used for the purpose of preventing flow of the tube temporarily like a valve. Most common plugging method employs Liquid Nitrogen Gas of $-196^{\circ}C$. According to the change of tube materials and its dimension, the thermal stress caused from the application of the frozen gas can be varied. In this research, a series of experiments have been carried out to inspect the effect of tube geometry on thermal stresses induced due to ice-plugging. Two typical dimension of stainless and mild steels of 3 and 6 inch diameters were used for the experiments. Each critical spots were checked using strain rosette gages. Another inspection was made on the pressure and temperature of the fluid. It is shown that significant thermal stress level which can cause plastic deformation of failure has not been noticed in this series of experiments.

  • 유압 펌프 또는 모터, 특히 레이디얼피스톤형 모터, 용 분배기는 동적인 평형상태를 유지하기 위해 양면이 완전히 똑같이 가공된 회전부재와 이 부재의 양면에 동적평형을 보조할 수 있도록 표면에 가공된 형상이 동일한 2개의 고정부재와 이 2개의 고정부재의 간격유지를 위하여 회전부재주위에 사각의 단면적을 갖는 원형링으로 이루어져 있다. 회전부재는 기본적으로 밸브부를 가지고 있으며 평형상태를 보조하기위해 밸브부의 외주에 정압베어링을 설치할 수도 있다. 2개의 고정 부재중 1개는 몇 개의 단이 있는 부재인데 이는 압력상승에 의한 볼트의 인장을 보상하기 위해 밸브케이싱과 축방향의 이동이 가능하도록 하기 위한 방법이다.
