유압 액셜 피스톤 펌프에서 실린더 블록과 구면 밸브 플레이트 사이의 마찰 특성 (Friction Characteristics between the Cylinder Block and the Spherical Valve Plate in Hydraulic Axial Piston Pump)

  • To increase the efficiency of the hydraulic axial piston pumps, it is need to know the various characteristics in the sliding contact parts of them. Especially, friction characteristics between the cylinder block and the valve plate in the hydraulic axial piston pumps plays an important role to high power density. In this paper, we tried to clarify friction characteristics between the cylinder block and the spherical valve plate in bent-axis-type axial piston pump in experimentally. Results are arranged as follow; (1) friction torque between the cylinder block and the spherical valve plate has a proportional relation to weight or rotational speed, and is strongly affected by temperature. (2) Friction torque strongly depends on force balance ratio in valve plate. (3) In this experiment, lubrication condition between the cylinder block and the spherical valve plate is under hydrodynamic lubrication.

  • To increase the efficiency of the hydraulic axial piston pumps, we have to know the various characteristics in the sliding parts of them. Especially, friction characteristics between the cylinder block and the valve plate in the hydraulic axial piston pumps plays an important role to high power density.   • This study aims to provide ways to achieve structural improvements of the internal flow path of the discharge plenum of a swash plate piston pump valve block vulnerable to cracks. This paper corresponds to Part II, which consists of a structural interpretation of the internal flow path of the discharge plenum of the valve block. The simple model result reviewed in Part I was incorporated into the valve block model and five different design changes were reviewed as part of the study on the structural improvement of the internal flow path of the valve block.

  • This study aims to provide ways to achieve structural improvements of the internal flow path of the discharge plenum of a swash plate piston pump valve block vulnerable to cracks. This paper corresponds to Part I, which consists of a structural analysis of the valve block, identification of the stress distribution and stress raisers, and creation of a Simple Model of the valve block to review the optimal design. Structural analysis was performed by assigning the same conditions as those found in the valve block model, and the design was reviewed by examining three different design improvement plans for the internal flow path of the discharge plenum.

  • Lubrication characteristics between a cylinder block and a valve plate for high speed bent-axis type hydraulic pump play an important role in volumetric efficiency and durability of pump. In this paper, a finite element method is presented for the computation of the pressure distribution between a cylinder block and a valve plate for high speed bent-axis type hydraulic pump. Also, a Runge-Kutta method is applied to simulate the cylinder block dynamics of three-degrees of freedom motion. From the results of computation, we can draw two major conclusions. One is related to the fluid film characteristics between a cylinder block and a valve plate and the other is related to the average leakage that is determined by the pressure gradient and the clearance near the discharge port. The numerical results of cylinder block dynamics were compared with the experimental results using eddy-current type gap sensors those are fixed at a pump housing.

Fluid film measurements on the spherical valve plate in oil hydraulic axial piston pumps

  • The Fluid film between the valve plate and the cylinder block was measured by use of a gap sensor and the mercury-cell slip ring unit under real working conditions. During the operating periods, experiments with discharge pressure, revolution speed, and valve geometry was carried out for the fluid film on the valve plate. To investigate the effect of the valve shape, we designed two valve plates each having a different shape; the first valve plate was a plane valve plate. while the second valve plate was a spherical valve plate. It was noted that these two valve plates observed different aspects of the fluid film characteristics between the cylinder block and the valve plate. The leakage flow rate and the shan torque were also investigated in order to clarify the difference between these two types of valve plates. From the results of this study. we found that the spherical valve plate estimated good fluid film patterns and performance more than the other valve plate in oil hydraulic axial piston pumps.

  • Tribological characteristics in the sliding parts of oil hydraulic piston pumps are very important in increasing overall efficiency. In this study, the fluid film between the valve plate and the cylinder block was measured by using a gap sensor and the mercury-cell slip ring unit under real working conditions. To investigate the effect of the valve shape, we designed three valve plates each having a different shape. One of the valve plates was without bearing pad, another valve plate had bearing pad and the last valve plate was a spherical valve plate. It was noted that these three valve plates observed different aspects of the fluid film characteristics between the cylinder block and the valve plate. The leakage flow rates and the shaft torque were also investigated in order to clarify the performance difference between these three types of valve plates. From the results of this study, we found that the spherical valve plate estimated good fluid film patterns and good performance more than the other valve plates in oil hydraulic axial piston pumps.

  • This study was performed to design the optimal block type expansion valve through analyzing the characteristics of the block type expansion valve in automotive air conditioning system using HFC-134a. Because an alternative refrigerant (HFC-l34a) is being used instead of CFC-12 for automotive air conditioning system, newly designed air conditioning components are necessary due to changes in characteristics. The performance tests were accomplished through the test bench, that is manufactured based on the study. And then it was carried out to measure the variation of temperature and pressure at each part of the air conditioning system according to the compressor speed.

  • A swash plate-type piston pump is a device used to discharge hydraulic fluid as the volume generated through the piston moves in the direction of the slope by adjusting the angle of its swash plate. In addition, the valve block internalized in the pump includes a flow path for intake from outside, a flow path for discharge, and a pilot conduit line to control discharge pressure and flux. In this study, a numerical analysis is conducted to improve the cracking of the valve block generated during process testing, and the developed pump is evaluated.
