  • One of the most significant tasks of software development project is to know how much it will be the software development cost in the early stage of software development cycle. The software development environment and technology are changing very rapidly. For accuracy, we should apply those to the software cost estimation. And it is important that we select the suitable adjustment factor and the value of a suitable adjustment factor. For that, this paper have applied the method of AHP. And we have also analyzed the sensitivity of the adjustment factor which is influenced by decision metrics. In conclusion, the value of the application type adjustment factor is responded more sensitively to the data complexity and the control complexity than processing complexity. And the value of the language adjustment factor is responded more sensitively to the supplying manpower and the time of the coding than the time of the debugging. In the future, we will research the selection of an additional adjustment factor and a suitable value of the adjustment factor which are influenced by the environment and the technology of the domestic software development. And then, in the language adjustment factor, we will try to calculate the value about the individual programming language.

  • This study aims to examine the effects of adjustment factors to college life on the work values of public health major students. We sampled 530 undergraduate students majoring in public health administration and engineering from Kyunggi-do, and analyzed the data using t-test, correlation and regression methods obtained from SPSS Win 21.0 software. We found that (1) a student's intrinsic work value is positively related to their adjustment to college life factors but extrinsic work value is positively related to 'professor-student interaction', 'college life satisfaction' and 'expectation for the service college'; (2) 'social integration', 'professor-student interaction' and 'expectation for the service college' influenced to intrinsic work value; (3) 'career identity', 'family support', and 'college life satisfaction' influenced to extrinsic work value. Based on the results of this study, that the improvement of adjustment to college life factors influence on the work values were discussed.

  • This paper is to investigate the shrinkage properties of high performance concrete (HPC) with mixture adjustment by using mock-up specimens. HPC with mixture adjustment needed a higher dosage of SP agent due to fluidity reduction and a larger dosage of AE agent due to the reduction of air content. Setting time of HPC with mixture adjustment exhibited earlier than that of control HPC by as much as 6 hours. HPC with mixture adjustment gained more than 70MPa of compressive strength. Autogenous shrinkage of Control HPC was found to be $-340\times40^{-6}$ at 49days when the expansion value by thermal effect was excluded and HPC with mixture adjustment $-175\times10^{-6}$, which was the half of the value of control HPC. Drying shrinkage of center section of HPC with mixture adjustment showed similar tendency with autogenous shrinkage because of no internal moisture movement, while surface section had larger drying shrinkage. The specimen embedded with reinforcing bar had smaller deformation caused by confinement of reinforcing bar.

  • Through information hiding technique, secret message can be hidden in pictures. Stego-image quality and hiding capacity are two important metrics for information hiding. To enhance these metrics, many schemes were proposed by scholars in recent years. Some of them are effective and successful, but there is still a room for further improvement. A high capacity information hiding scheme (PAMO, Pixel-value Adjustment with Modulus Operation Algorithm) is introduced in this paper. PAMO scheme uses pixel value adjustment with modulus operation to hide confidential data in cover-image. PAMO scheme and some referenced schemes are implemented in Python and experiments are carried out to evaluate their performance. In the experiments, PAMO scheme shows better performance than other methods do. When secret message length is less than 72000 bits, the highest hiding capacity of PAMO can reach 7 bits per pixel, at the same time the PSNR of stego-images is greater than 30 dB.

  • Purpose: The study was done to identify adjustment to hospital life of school aged children. This research was designed as a descriptive study. Method: A convenience sample of 186 patients who were hospitalized children, 6~12 years old. The instrument in this study were developed by researcher and constructed to include 5 sub categories about adjustment to hospital life. They ask children to rate each item on 5 Likert scale. The data were analyzed by SPSS Win Program. Result: The mean average score of adjustment to hospital life was 91.75(SD 11.22); the social support revealed the highest value, followed by self-esteem, stress on disease, stress on hospitalization, and defense strategies. There was differences on bibliographic data; hospital date, disease type. The relationship between adjustment and sub categories was significant, especially in the stress on hospitalization and disease, social support and self-esteem. The relationship between coping strategies and stress on diseases was reversed. Conclusion: These results suggest that pediatric nurses need to be aware of the adjustment to hospital life. A development of nursing intervention program may be useful and critical for hospitalized school aged children.

  • This paper empirically verifies that the types of capital adjustment costs serve as an important mechanism in relation to investment decision-making after confirming that the investment dispersion of Korean firms is pro-cyclical and can affect business cycles. Specifically, it is found through empirical methods using corporate financial data that capital adjustment costs generally assumed to take a quadratic form in macroeconomics are asymmetric and irreversible in the Korean economy. In particular, capital adjustment costs are empirically proven to cause investment dispersion to expand given that the substitution effect of the marginal value to the marginal cost for one unit of investment in the inter-temporal investment decision is affected by that cost with regard to the resale of owned equipment assets, as opposed to new investments in equipment assets. We ultimately show, albeit indirectly, that investment dispersion can affect business cycles as capital adjustment costs influences investment decisions. What is implied is that the capital adjustment cost is not merely an exogenously deep parameter that fits the dynamics of business cycles in a macroeconomic model but could instead be a policy variable that can be endogenized through government policies.

  • Management is under constant pressures to achieve competitiveness in production in most manufacturing companies. The adoption of management techniques(MT) such as TQM, MRP, ERP and so on has been a logical response for better performance to many companies. Besides, these companies commonly adopt a number of such techniques with high expectation for performance improvement. However, expected improvement in performance is not guaranteed unless necessary ingredients exist for those techniques. Many research studies have focused on the nature of successful adoption of management techniques in the past. However, most studies have been related to a single technique and its effects. When more than one techniques are in use in a company, focusing on a single technique limits the value of analysis. This paper focuses the value of MTs adopted in a company in multiplicity and compares the relative characteristics of MTs one another. Especially, the purpose of this paper is to examine the comparative nature of MTs adopted In manufacturing companies and the elements of MT success in relationship with information systems and organizational adjustment for adoption of MTs. The result of the analysis shows that the more efforts are exhorted for the adjustment of information systems and organizational structures to accommodate the MTs, the more success from the adopted techniques results. However, the extent of adjustment for different management techniques differs one another due to the nature of each technique. With regard to the comparative impact of adjustment of information systems and that of organizational structures, the result shows that the latter has more direct and greater impact than the former.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify school adjustment groups by applying a Latent Profile Analysis(LPA) and to investigate the effects of children's emotional problems and study habits on determining the membership of these groups. LPA and multiple logistic regression were conducted using the data of 2,200 third-graders from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Study. The results are listed as follows. First, four school adjustment groups were identified: adjustment, approach to adjustment, maladjustment risk, and maladjustment group. Second, accomplishment value and mastery goal orientation were relatively strong predictors of membership of the school adjustment groups. Time management was also a significant variable that predicted the membership of maladjustment or the maladjustment-risk group. Third, attention problems and depression were the most consistent predictors of membership of maladjustment or the maladjustment-risk group. Physical symptoms and social withdrawal were also significant. Based on the results, implications for intervention to promote early school adjustment were discussed.
