2-TNATA:C60 정공 주입층을 이용한 유기발광다이오드의 성능 향상 연구 (Enhanced Efficiency of Organic Electroluminescence Diode Using 2-TNATA:C60 Hole Injection Layer)

  • 유기발광소자(OLED)에서 정공 주입층으로 사용되는 4,4',4"-tris(N-(2-naphthyl)-N-phenylamino)-triphenylamine(2-TNATA)가 전극으로 사용되는 ITO(indium tin oxide)와 홀 수송층(hole transport layer, HTL)사이에 박막으로 진공 증착되었다. 공증착에 의해 C60이 약 20 wt% 도핑된 2-TNATA:C60 층을 제조하였으며, AFM과 XRD를 이용하여 2-TNATA:C60 박막의 분자 배향성 및 토폴로지를 관찰하였다. 또한, 다층 소자의 J-V, L-V 및 전류 효율 특성이 고찰되었다. C60은 분자 배향성을 가지고 있으나, 2-TNATA:C60 박막은 C60 분자의 균일한 분산에 의해 분자 배향성이 확인되지 않았다. C60의 도핑에 의해서 2-TNATA 박막이 더욱 조밀해지고 균일해지는 것을 확인하였으며, 이로 인하며 박막 내의 전류 밀도가 증가됨을 확인하였다. 2-TNATA:C60 하이브리드 박막을 이용하여 ITO/2-TNATA:C60/NPD/$Alq_3$/LiF/Al 다층 소자를 제조하였을 때 소자의 휘도가 향상되었으며 소자 효율도 약 4.7에서 약 6.7 cd/A로 증가하였다.

지주막하강 수펜타닐과 뷰피바케인의 혼합 투여가 분만 제 1 기 산모의 진통 효과에 미치는 영향 (The Analgesic Efficacy and Side Effects of Subarachnoid Sufentanil-Bupivacaine on Parturients in Advanced Labor)

  • Background : Previous studies have proven beneficial in labor analgesia to use subarachnoid sufentanil(alone or with adjuvant) on parturients in early first stage of labor. We designed this prospective study to evaluate analgesic efficacy and side effects of subarachnoid sufentanil plus bupivacaine in women with cervical dilatation of 7 cm greater. Methods : This was an open-label, nonrandomized trial of 32 parturients in late first stage labor who requested labor analgesia. After signing the consent form each patient received subarachnoid sufentanil (10 ${\mu}g$) and bupivacaine (2.5 mg). Patients were asked to rate their verbal pain score (0-10 scale) before regional anesthesia and 5 minutes after subarachnoid injection, and every 20 minutes thereafter until delivery or request for additional analgesia. Blood pressure, pruritus, Bromage motor block score, mode of delivery and need for supplemental analgesics were recorded. Results : Thirty women were included in the study. Mean pain scores (mean${\pm}$SD) were $8.7{\pm}1.0$ pre-spinal, $0.7{\pm}1.5$ 5 minutes post-injection, and remained less than 5 for 130 minutes after spinal injection. Of 30 patients, 24 had unassisted vaginal delivery, 4 instrumental vaginal delivery (vacuum), and 2 cesarean delivery. Of 28 patients who delivered vaginally, 19 did not require supplemental analgesics and had a delivery pain score of 5 or lower. Blood pressure decreased in three patients after spinal analgesia (p<0.05), which necessitated treatment. The Bromage motor block score was 0 in 26 patients and 1 in 4 patients. Pruritus was noted in 22 patients. Conclusion : Subarachnoid sufentanil-bupivacaine provides rapid analgesia for an effective duration of approximately 130 minutes in parturients in late first stage of labor.

분말 사출성형법으로 제조된 T42 고속도 공구강의 소결거동 (A Study on the Sintering Behavior of T42 High Speed Steel by Powder Injection Molding (PIM) Process)

  • Tool steels serve a large range of applications including hot and cold workings of metals and injection mouldings of plastics or light alloys. The high speed steels (HSS) are specifically used as cutting tools and wear parts because it has high strength, wear resistance and hardness along with appreciable toughness and fatigue resistance. From the view of HSS microstructure, it can be described as metallic matrix composites formed by a ferrous with a dispersion of hard and wear resistant carbides. The experimental specimens were manufactured using the PIM with T42 powders (50~80 vol.%) and polymer (20~50 vol.%). The green parts were debinded in n-hexane solution at $60^{\circ}C$ for 8 hours and thermal debinded at an $N_2-H_2$ mixed gas atmosphere for 8 hours. Specimens were sintered in high vacuum ($10^{-5}$ Torr) and various temperatures.

  • In order to investigate the microstructure and mechanical properties of WC-10 wt% Co insert tool alloy fabricated by PIM (Powder Injection Molding) process, the feedstock of WC-10 wt% and wax used as a kind of binder were mixed together by two blade mixer. After injection molding, the debinding process was carried out by two-steps. First, solvent extraction, in which the binder was eliminated by putting the specimen into normal hexane for 24 hrs at $60^{\circ}C$, and subsequently thermal debinding which was conducted at $260^{\circ}C$ and $480^{\circ}C$ for 6 hrs in the mixed gas of $H_2/N_2$, respectively. Meantime, in order to compensate the decarburization due to hydrogen, 1.2~1.8% of carbon was added to ensure the integrity of the phase. Finally, the specimens were sintered in vacuum under different temperatures, and the relative density of 99.8% and hardness of 2100 Hv can be achieved when sintered at $1380^{\circ}C$, even the TRS is lower than the conventional sintering process.

분말사출성형 시 분말 혼합체의 유동성 시뮬레이션을 통한 투광성 알루미나 소결체의 특성 연구 (A study on the Powder Injection Molding of Translucent Alumina via Flowability Simulation of Powder/Binder Mixture)

  • Translucent alumina is a potential candidate for high temperature application as a replacement of the glass or polymer. Recently, due to the increasing demand of high power light emitting diode (LED), there is a growing interest in the translucent alumina. Since the translucent property is very sensitive to the internal defect, such as voids inside or abnormal grain growth of sintered alumina, it is important to fabricate the defect-free product through the fabrication process. Powder injection molding (PIM) has been commonly applied for the fabrication of complex shaped products. Among the many parameters of PIM, the flowability of powder/binder mixture becomes more significant especially for the shape of the cavity with thin thickness. Two different positions of the gate were applied during PIM using the disc type of die. The binder was removed by solvent extraction method and the brown compact was sintered at $1750^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours in a vacuum. The flowability was also simulated using moldflow (MPI 6.0) with two different types of gate. The effect of the flowability of powder/binder mixture on the microstructure of the sintered specimen was studied with the analysis of the simulation result.

  • This research presents a preparation method of dental components by metal injection molding process (MIM process) using titanium scrap. About $20{\mu}m$ sized spherical titanium powders for MIM process were successfully prepared by a novel dehydrogenation and spheroidization method using in-situ radio frequency thermal plasma treatment. The effects of MIM process parameters on the mechanical and biological properties of dental components were investigated and the optimum condition was obtained. After sintering at $1250^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour in vacuum, the hardness and the tensile strength of MIMed titanium components were 289 Hv and 584 MPa, respectively. Prepared titanium dental components were not cytotoxic and they showed a good cell proliferation property.

금속 사출성형 방식의 다공성 스테인리스 강 지지체에 형성된 팔라듐 수소 분리막의 투과 선택도 특성 (Hydrogen Perm-Selectivity Property of the Palladium Hydrogen Separation Membranes on Porous Stainless Steel Support Manufactured by Metal Injection Molding)

  • Pd-based membranes have been widely used in hydrogen purification and separation due to their high hydrogen diffusivity and infinite selectivity. However, it has been difficult to fabricate thin and dense Pd-based membranes on a porous stainless steel(PSS) support. In case of a conventional PSS support having the large size of surface pores, it was required to use complex surface treatment and thick Pd coating more than $6{\mu}m$ on the PSS was required in order to form pore free surface. In this study, we could fabricate thin and dense Pd membrane with only $3{\mu}m$ Pd layer on a new PSS support manufactured by metal injection molding(MIM). The PSS support had low surface roughness and mean pore size of $5{\mu}m$. Pd membrane were prepared by advanced Pd sputter deposition on the modified PSS support using fine polishing and YSZ vacuum filling surface treatment. At temperature $400^{\circ}C$ and transmembrane pressure difference of 1 bar, hydrogen flux and selectivity of $H_2/N_2$ were $11.22ml\;cm^{-2}min^{-1}$ and infinity, respectively. Comparing with $6{\mu}m$ Pd membrane, $3{\mu}m$ Pd membrane showed 2.5 times higher hydrogen flux which could be due to the decreased Pd layer thickness from $6{\mu}m$ to $3{\mu}m$ and an increased porosity. It was also found that pressure exponent was changed from 0.5 on $6{\mu}m$ Pd membrane to 0.8 on $3{\mu}m$ Pd membrane.

Development of Hard-wired Instrumentation and Control for the Neutral Beam Test Facility at KAERI

  • Since the start of the KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) project, Instrumentation and Control (I&C) of the Neutral Beam Test Facility (NB-TF) has been striving to answer diverse requests arising from various facets during the project's development and construction phases. Hard-wired electrical circuits have been designed, tested, fabricated, and finally installed to the relevant parts of the system. In relation to the vacuum system I&C, controlling functions for the rotary pumps, a Roots pump, two turbomolecular pumps, and four cryosorption pumps have been constructed. I&C for the ion source operation are the temperature and flow rate signal monitoring, Langmuir probe signal measurements, gradient grid current measurements, and arc detector circuit. For the huge power system to be monitored or safely operated, many temperature measurement functions have also been implemented for the beam line components like the neutralizer, bending magnet, ion dump, and calorimeter. Nearly all of the control and probe signals between the NB test stand and the control room were made to be transmitted through the optical cables. Failures of coolant flow or beam line vacuum pressure were made to be safely blocked from influencing the system by an appropriate interlock circuit that will shut down the extraction voltage application to the system or prevent damages to the vacuum components. Preliminary estimation of the beam power through the calorimetric measurement shows that 87.9% of the total power of the 60kV/18A beam with 200 seconds duration is absorbed by the calorimeter surface. Most of these I&C results would be highly appropriate for the construction of the main NBI facility for the KSTAR national fusion research project.

저온 분사 공정으로 제조된 티타늄 코팅층의 치밀화에 미치는 열처리 분위기의 영향 (Effect of Heat Treatment Environment on the Densification of Cold Sprayed Ti Coating Layer)

  • This study investigated the effects of annealing environment for the densification and purification properties of pure titanium coating layer manufactured by cold spraying. The annealing was conducted at $600^{\circ}C$/1 h and three kinds of environments of vacuum, Ar gas, and $5%H_2+Ar$ mixture gas were controlled. Cold sprayed Ti coating layer (as sprayed) represented 6.7% of porosity and 228 HV of hardness, showing elongated particle shapes (severe plastic deformation) perpendicular to injection direction. Regardless of gas environments, all thermally heat treated coating layers consisted of pure ${\alpha}$-Ti and minimal oxide. Vacuum environment during heat treatment represented superior densification properties (3.8% porosity, 156.7 HV) to those of Ar gas (5.3%, 144.5 HV) and $5%H_2+Ar$ mixture gas (5.5%, 153.1 HV). From the results of phase analysis (XRD, EPMA, SEM, EDS), it was found that the vacuum environment during heat treatment could be effective for reducing oxide contents (purification) in the Ti coating layer. The characteristic of microstructural evolution with heat treatment was found to be different at three different gas environments. The controlling method for improving densification and purification in the cold sprayed Ti coating material was also discussed.

진공펌프 시스템을 이용한 고도모의 시험장치 설계 (High Altitude Simulating Test Facility Design Using Vacuum Pump System)

  • 본 연구에서는 루츠 펌프와 스크류 펌프를 이용한 진공 펌프 시스템을 이용해, 1 kg/s의 공기가 공급되는 시험장치에서 챔버 내의 압력을 2500 Pa로 유지할 수 있는 고도모의 시험장치를 설계하였다. 설계를 위해, 저유량의 공기 공급 조건에서, 소정의 펌프 조합을 이용해 실험을 수행하였다. 이를 통해, 1 kg/s급의 유량이 공급되는 시험장치를 위해서는 11대의 루츠 펌프와 33대의 스크류 펌프가 필요하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 실험 결과를 이론 예측 결과와 비교하였다. 하지만, 이론적으로 예측한 흡입 유량은 실험 결과보다 20 %에 가깝게 많게 나왔다. 이는 조합 실험시, 루츠 펌프 전후단에 걸리는 차압이 높아서 발생한 것으로 여겨진다. 따라서 앞에서 제시한 것보다 더 많은 스크류 펌프를 설치할 경우, 보다 높은 진공도를가지는 시스템의 구축이 가능해질 것으로 판단된다.
