  • The purpose of this study is to identify what elements of VR games satisfy and continuous usage for the sustainable development of VR games. Specifically, an extended acceptance model was proposed with the addition of perceived costs, presences, satisfied variables to predict the acceptance and the intention of continued use of VR games. As a result, in general, it was found that the extended technology acceptance model with three external factors is more advantageous to explain the characteristics of VR game and its effect on users than the existing model. This study is suggested an integrated research model that considers the core characteristics of VR games and observe which factors lead to the persistent intention to contribute to the study about the VR game.

  • One of the main motivations of this research process is to develop an adaptable VR model whose color can be changed according to the emotional information of user. This paper addresses how to define color scheme and combine colors with harmony. The adaptable color of the VR model consists of three processes: emotional keyword identification, the color combination and the VR model adaptation processes. We have used the biorhythm to derive the emotional keyword which is used to find the color harmony scheme. The color harmony scheme provides information for the color combination of the VR model. Finally, we have obtained the VR model which color has been changed using the identified color schema.

  • Purpose Surgery for separating craniopagus twins involves many critical issues owing to complex anatomical features. We demonstrate a 3D printed model and virtual reality (VR) technologies that could provide valuable benefits for surgical planning and simulation, which would improve the visualization and perception during craniopagus surgery. Material & Methods We printed a 3D model extracted from CT images of craniopagus patients using segmentation software developed in-house. Then, we imported the 3D model to create the VR environment using 3D simulation software (Unity, Unity Technologies, CA). We utilized the HTC Vive (HTC & Valve Corp) head-mount-display for the VR simulation. Results We obtained the 3D printed model of craniopagus patients and imported the model to a VR environment. Manipulating the model in VR was possible, and the 3D model in the VR environment enhanced the application of user-friendly 3D modeling in surgery for craniopagus twins. Conclusion The use of the 3D printed model and VR has helped understand complicated anatomical structures of craniopagus patients and has made communicating with other medical surgeons in the field much easier. Further, interacting with the 3D model is possible in VR, which enhances the understanding of the craniopagus surgery as well as the success rate of separation surgery while providing useful information on diagnosing and surgery planning.

  • Purpose : Today's retailers are integrating new VR technology into their new marketing strategies. Thus, this research aims to understand the role of virtual experiences in the circumstance of sales channels. Research design, data and methodology : Our model hypothesizes that five key factors determine the consumer experience of VR in the virtual retailing context: smartness, vividness, interactivity, playfulness, escape. Information access and flow are mediating variables that connect key drivers and VR satisfaction. Information access and flow then give influence to satisfaction towards VR. Satisfaction serves as a mediator that determines changes in consumer's dual intention: intention to revisit VR and intention to visit the real site. Results : According to the test results, every path except the relationship between information access and satisfaction of VR is accepted as expected at the significance level of 0.05. Conclusions : This research emphasizes the potential importance of VR and continue VR marketing research as an advent research area. Through the dual-path model, this study found that the primary function of VR is information access and flow experience. This result shows that most VR users value emotional benefits rather than rational benefits provided by VR. Finally, the satisfaction of VR can stimulate both the intention to use the VR and the intention to visit real mall.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the use of the Deep Neural Networks(DNN) model to classify user's emotions, in particular Electroencephalography(EEG) toward Virtual-Reality(VR) based 3D design alternatives. Four different types of VR Space were constructed to measure a user's emotion and EEG was measured for each stimulus. In addition to the quantitative evaluation based on EEG data, a questionnaire was conducted to qualitatively check whether there is a difference between VR stimuli. As a result, there is a significant difference between plan types according to the normalized ranking method. Therefore, the value of the subjective questionnaire was used as labeling data and collected EEG data was used for a feature value in the DNN model. Google TensorFlow was used to build and train the model. The accuracy of the developed model was 98.9%, which is higher than in previous studies. This indicates that there is a possibility of VR and Fast Fourier Transform(FFT) processing would affect the accuracy of the model, which means that it is possible to classify a user's emotions toward VR based 3D design alternatives by measuring the EEG with this model.

  • This study addresses the effectiveness of a VR model that is designed to relieve distress and improve communication during pediatric dental treatment for 3-9 year-old young patients. This is due to the challenging nature of the dental treatment for both young patients and pediatric dentists. The proposed model is designed to alleviate the unpleasant experience a young patient might go through during the dental treatment through providing a VR content to be displayed in on a head-mounted device during the treatment session. In addition, the model is designed to help decrease the frequent movement of the young patient during the dental treatment session by directing the patient's head to the immersive VR content. Furthermore, the model could solve the communication difficulties that might occur between pediatric dentists and young patients during the treatment session by showing live instructions related to adjusting body postures

  • In this paper, this objective is to obtain the mathematical model which describes the dynamic characteristics of variable reluctance(VR) step motor, the most important and most widely used motor in practice. In the development of the mathematical model for VR step motor, first the general nonlinear dynamic equations which describe the N-phase VR step motor are derived. These general equations are then applied to the multiple-step type of VR step motor in case, for simplicity, maynetic saturation and core lossess in the iron are neglected. These nonlinear dynamic equations are numerically analysed by the computer simulation, through which the performance characteristics of a step motor undertest are investigated under the various operating conditions.
