  • 온라인 마켓을 통한 교육용 영상콘텐츠의 유통은 안정적인 시장을 형성하고 있지만, 오프라인 교육의 효과를 전적으로 대체하기는 어려운 것으로 나타났다. IT 기술의 발전에 따른 가상현실 시장인 VR(Virtual Reality)이 주목 받고 있으며 이를 접목한 다양한 콘텐츠가 대중에게 서비스 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 온라인에서 교육적인 효과를 향상시킬 수 있는 교육용 VR 영상 플랫폼 제공 방안을 제안한다.

  • In recent years, various virtual reality games are becoming commercialized. A variety of large 3D online games popular with users has begun to transform into VR games. < the Elder Scrolls V: skyrim VR > as a derivative of large-scale 3D online games < the Elder Scrolls V: skyrim special edition >, Since its launch on the steam game platform in April 2018, because of its original UI design, maximizes the user's immersive experience and firmly maintains the leading position of VR games. Although the visual similarities between < the Elder Scrolls V: Skylim VR > and < the Elder Scrolls V: Skylim Special Edition > are high, but the visual elements in the UI are quite different. This paper studies characters, scenes, operating interfaces, colors and fonts five visual UI elements that enhance the immersion in game. It provided a unique interface design reference to immersive experience of new VR games in the future.

Study on Distortion and Field of View of Contents in VR HMD

  • Recently, VR HMD (virtual reality head mounted display) has been utilized for virtual training, entertainment, vision therapy, and optometry. In particular, virtual reality contents are increasingly used for vision therapy and optometry. Accordingly, high-quality virtual reality contents such as a natural vision of life is required. Therefore, it is necessary to study the content production according to the optical characteristics of the VR HMD. The purpose of this paper is to suggest a proper FOV (field of view) of contents according to the distortion rate. We produced virtual reality contents and obtained distorted images by virtual camera. The distortion rate is calculated by using the distorted image. It is proved that the optimal FOV of the VR content with the minimum distortion is $90{\sim}100^{\circ}$. The results of this study are expected to be applied to the production of high quality contents.

  • Applying VR technology to animation areas is emerging as a trend of recent years. So if you use this VR technology in traditional ink animation, 2D art piece is expected to be equipped with a new narrative style and visual and auditory language, making it a new animation genre. There's a lot of technical difficulties in putting the existing 2D ink image on a 360 degree display. VR ink animation has been created that gives depth to VR space by using layer extraction method based on depth of distance and placing layers extracted on curved surface that is aligned with depth in 360-degree space in the image of ink painting, which is the background of traditional ink animation. In the text, we took an overview on problems generated in extracting layers of distant view, close-range view and middle distant view from the existing image of ink painting and made suggestions of an effective way to approach them.

  • This study is about production techniques that can improve visual immersion in VR games. First, we reviewed the theory of VR games, current status, visual and immersion through prior work, and selected samples to extract key components that can improve visual immersion in VR games. and, VR games were produced and developed by applying the concept of COVID-19, which is currently popular around the world. As a result, the resolution of technical Element's, frame rate, viewing angle, brightness of lighting, design quality, and Contextual Element's storytelling, background, directing, color, texture, interest and fun because is Significant results that can induce and improve immersion were obtained, and in the end, smooth gameplay was realized. Through this research process and results, it is expected that it will be a basic data in the field of production and development of VR games that can induce and improve users' visual immersion in the future.

  • Currently, virtual reality contents using VR images are spotlighted since they can be easily created and utilized. But because VR images are in a state of lack of interaction, there are limitations in their applications and usability.In order to overcome this problem, we propose a new method in which 360 degree panorama image and game engine are utilized to develop a high resolution of interactive VR service in real time. In particular, since the background image, which is represented by a form of panorama image, is pre-generated through a heavy rendering computation, it can be used to provide a immersive VR service with a relatively small amount of computation in run time on a low performance device. In order to show the effectiveness of our proposed method, an interactive game of a virtual zoo environment was implemented and illustrated showing that it can improve user interaction and immersion experience in a pretty good way.

  • This study is about an efficient synthesis of $360^{\circ}$ video and 3D graphics. First, the video image filmed by a binocular integral type $360^{\circ}$ camera was stitched, and location values of the camera and objects were extracted. And the data of extracted location values were moved to the 3D program to create 3D objects, and the methods for natural compositing was researched. As a result, as the method for natural compositing of $360^{\circ}$ video image and 3D graphics, rendering factors and rendering method were derived. First, as for rendering factors, there were 3D objects' location and quality of material, lighting and shadow. Second, as for rendering method, actual video based rendering method's necessity was found. Providing the method for natural compositing of $360^{\circ}$ video image and 3D graphics through this study process and results is expected to be helpful for research and production of $360^{\circ}$ video image and VR video contents.

  • This investigation proposes a new method to overcome disadvantages of panorama VR that is oriented toward spacial information and Object VR that is oriented toward object itself and consequently to make 3D virtual reality (VR) contents efficiently by using image based approach. 3D VR contents provide satisfactory qualities to users but 3D modeling is complex and elaborative and requires high cost. So, this paper aims at reducing tremendous efforts for making 3D VR by substituting 3D modeling with 'advanced Billboard'(we call it Smart Billboard). Smart Billboard has a mechanism for selecting an adequate mapping image that is observable at each user viewpoint and carry on texture mapping into the Billboard. And it is validated with the practical embodiments of a virtual museum in which the exhibitions are prepared by Smart Billboard.

  • Various works of art in a convergent form using new media technology Reflecting the attempted trend, this paper examines the footsteps of public art and Looking at the examples of works using new media art as an expression method of public art works, I suggest vr drawing as a new tool for public media art. The drawing performance using the vr drawing tool and the case of the vr realistic performance scarecrow, The vr drawing tool can infer the possibility of practical application as a new expression method of public art. This study uses a vr drawing tool among new media technologies in the future. It is believed that it will be a prior study that will help prospective creators. In addition, compared to the media status in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, art and If you think and analyze the future value of technology, I think it will be a meaningful study.

  • Ink painting is an important art creation method in oriental culture. Although ink painting lacks of sense of reality compared to western painting, it contains its unique drawing skills, which is of great significance to the inheritance and development of Oriental culture. Animation or game utilizing by ink painting technique are derivative contents from ink painting. This paper will through research the brief history of 3D ink contents works and traditional drawing skills to research existing ink works' art characters and the general production method. Also describe the extensibility of 3D ink animation contents. There has extremely high research value of new convergence contents as mobile game, VR / AR etc. And according to those research ink style image contents can be assumed get further development in the future.
