The true identity and ideology of Jeong, Yeo Rip will become clear once we review such fact from the origin. This article considered abstract and ideological evaluation of occasion and took its approach thoroughly based on the historical research of literature. Until now, some parts academic world have denied and argued about the fabrication about every details of Jeong, Yeo Rip and event of high treason in the year of ox while accepting the habitual sentence spoken by such individual without a doubt. They have exaggerated Jeong, Yeo Rip as an 'Incompleted Revolutionist' or 'Individual of Revolutionary Ideology'. However, it is imprecise to speak about the terminology of 'Revolutionary'. His ideology is simply elucidating the principal of original Confucianism or a new interpretation of the principle of Confucianism. Jeong, Yeo Rip wanted to contradict the system of national school based on the Zhu-xi's ideology and returned to the principle of original Confucianism. His idea of utopia based on the Confucianism arouse out of the intention of reviving the spirit of original Confucianism. His antagonistic propensity to Zhu-xi's ideology or political idea has transcended the principle of justification based on Sung Confucianism and was also logical and realistic. He was forced on to the deadly circumstance since the society of Joseon Dynasty couldn't accept such logical and progressive idea and deemed him to be nothing more than a disturbing element for the society.

  • Caryl Churchill achieved spacial politics to resist dominant ideology in Cloud Nine. It is suggested that heterotopia is a counter-site to the places which are controlled by colonialism and sexuality. Churchill juxtaposes African colony of Victorian period in the first act and modern London in the second act. It implies that individuals are similarly oppressed by dominant ideology until now though several conditions for individuals are drastically improved. White heterosexual men in the play try to build their utopia to keep their privileges. If they find anything abnormal to their standard, they systematically classify people and organize them into the different ranks and levels to seclude them from their utopia. Actually, the ideal people in the ideal place are oppressed by patriarchal ideology, compulsory heterosexuality, and colonialism which are covertly associated with gender. Therefore, Churchill uses the cross-casting to challenge the artificiality of gender, sexuality, generation and race in the play. People realize that they need to find their own desires free from gender, compulsory heterosexuality, ethnic, and race and their subjectivity flowing in and out of space. It is the site that all the binary oppositions are deconstructed and creates new multiple nodes to expand the boundary of their communities to heterotopia in real places.

His significance in Modern architectural history lies in not only historiography which has changed our view of Modernism but deep theoretical involvement in practice. This study is a critical review and analysis on his formalist approach in Architecture. With a view that his position of formalist has indispensible relationship with liberalism from K. Popper's critical rationalism, this study try to show how his philosophical background has an influence upon his way of seeing architecture, history, form, urbanism, and meaning, etc. And this study also try to explain why the principle of architecture as an autonomous discipline which is the main point of view in Rowe's criticism has been so successful and influential. This study also explain what is the possibility and limitation of Rowe's formalist approach and way of reading buildings. His intelligent way of formal analysis can give us new understandings of how the form generates and the process of design goes on. Furthermore it guide us a new horizon of architecture as a language game. Since his early writings showed both side of formalist approach in architecture and it didn't changed a lot. We can understand his 'Collage City' was a his final answer to his formalist way of making architecture and urbanism. we can estemate it as a utopia without utopianism and an ideology without ideological color.

  • This study tries to compare the architectural thought of Michel Foucault with that of Manfredo Tafuri in order to make clear the architectural identity as a social institution. In Michel Foucault's case, the archeology of discourse and the geneology of power were central method to understand the history of occidental society since the Renaissance. Four him, architecture is assumed as a mechanism of operation which make the power effectively radiate in th space. He thinks that a new discursive space was arranged since the 18th century in Europe, the architecture played a role to coordinate divers powers. Mafredo Tafuri, architetural historian, depends on the criticism of ideology in search of the relation between the economic system of capitalism and modern architecture and urbanism. He thinks that all architecture is an institution. And any attempt to overthrow the institution, is bound to see itself turned into a positive contribution and into an ideology, So all architectural attempts to conceal the contradiction of capitalism are negated. This different perspective on architecture exposes many points of dispute: historical periodization, disciplinary limit of architecture, understanding of Enlightenment architecture, utopia and heterotopia, etc.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the theoretical origins and characteristics of Korean Apartment that became a dominant housing type of Korea by comparing it with the ideas of Le Corbusier, Siedlung and Hilberseimer. Korean apartment is different from Corbusier's idea in that it has no vision for new community in modern society. Formal typology of apartment also differs from Corbusier's unite which embodied a new collective way of living in modern society. In that Korean apartment was introduced as a means to provide houses to urban worker and to solve the housing shortage, it was close to the idea of Siedlung. However, unlike Siedlung Korean apartment was based on urban ideology and not a social housing. In terms of it's repetitive form, Korean Apartment resembled Hilberseimer's proposal for capitalistic metropolis. However, it differs from Korean Apartment in that the latter has no utopian vision of new order So, while reflecting fragmented ideas of modern utopia, Korean apartment is architecture without utopia.

  • This writing verifies ideology producing unethical stratification or discrimination targeting on Grandeur's TV commercial after 2008. And attempts to point out the utopia desired by those commercials reproduces distorted ideology at Korean society. To achieve this, the analysis model was postulated utilizing narratology and semiotics system in application of methodology. The result of discussion, is that the 2008 'Grandeur New Luxury' commercial can have utilized the inflected patriotism and sexual fantasies as the core strategy of storytelling. The fact trebly othering women's body from the point of view of gender ethics can be pointed out as the biggest problem in this commercial. 2009 'Grandeur New Luxury' frankly stimulates costumer's desire of stratum rise and possessiveness, circulating the logic 'owning a vehicle' is a proof of their existence. Also considering the meaning woman narration takes up in corresponding commercial, criticism utilizing feminine signifier as a tool to reinforce male success legend was available. Finally 2010 'The Luxury Grandeur' commercial was able to make a judgement using the mechanism of present consumption culture cleverly which Baudrilliard and Althusser has critically recognized. Because commercial images precisely utilizes the mistake called the 'phantasme-$m{\acute{e}}connaissance$' or the 'reconnaissance-$m{\acute{e}}connaissance$' that consumers easily make. Reminding TV commercials exerts control power against unspecified many sitting in front of the TV, continuous studies with same interest are needed in the future. This writing will be able to have a meaning as attempting narratological methodology for analyzing the storytelling of car TV commercials. But systemizing the criticism about the commercial as a single narrative with going through theoretical supplementation is being respected in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the identities and roles so that they can grasp their social roles and directions. Artists show a change in identity from the deification of modern artists with freedom and genius to artists who challenge the cognitive aspect of art and redefine the scope and concept of artists by expanding their social role. Artists dreaming of an ideal art utopia, in which art, society, politics, and daily life are coordinated, are constantly presenting the social role and direction of art through the combination and challenge of new ways of art and craft, beauty and function, creative imagination, and public service. Fashion designers act as contemporary genius artists, creators who express the appearance of the times, practitioners who advocate social values and changes, members of business in the fashion system, celebrities who are spotlighted by the public at the center of the fashion industry, or fashion influencers. Thus, fashion designers are complex or selective in their role depending on the fashion philosophy of individual designers or location given within the fashion system. They are becoming the subject of creating the culture of the times by expressing social ideology or playing a role in practicing art in life that leads social culture so as to raise the value of fashion in their development and satisfy cultural enjoyment of fashion consumers who consume art in everyday life.
