백화점 이용 및 만족에 관한 구조방정식 모형 (A Structural Equation Model for the Utilization and Satisfaction of Department Stores)

  • 본 연구는 백화점에 대한 전체적인 고객만족에 관하여 기존 연구들을 확장하여 매장관련과 서비스 관련으로 구분하고 이에 지역적 특성을 고려한 향토성관련요인을 추가하여 이러한 특징들이 향토백화점, 지방백화점(부산 외 지역소재)간의 고객만족에 미치는 중요성과 차이를 밝히고 또한, 만족에 관한 결과 변수간의 구조적인 관계를 규명해 보고자 시행하였다. 연구결과, 도입된 매장관련과 서비스관련특성들이 전체적인(향토/지방) 고객만족평가에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤고, 이러한 고객만족은 결과변수인 재구매와 구전의사에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 향토성관련요인은 향토백화점들과 타지방백화점들간의 차이는 보이고 있으나 이러한 차이들이 실제로 고객만족에 유의한 영향을 미치지는 못하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한 향토백화점과 지방백화점을 구분하여 향토성관련요인을 분석한 결과 향토백화점인 경우 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 지방백화점인 경우는 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • MARKAL (MARKet ALlocation) Model, one of the most sophisticated energy technology assessment model is applied to finding the optimum mix of energy sources and evaluating energy technology competitiveness in Korea. The model is capable of handling Multiple Objective Linear Programming to test the related cost minimization and environmental control function. In this paper three environmental regulation scenarios are observed including 10% and 20% reduction of carbon dioxide emission level. For the purpose of establishing the basic data base, Korea Reference Engergy System is also developed on the base of the year 1989 with technology utilization and energy flow analysis.

  • 본 연구는 폐쇄형 대기행렬망(CQN:Closed Network of Queue)으로 표시되는 FMS 시스템의 최적 성능을 산정하는 방법과 각 작업장의 작업 부하 (Workload)를 최적화하기 위한 방법에 관한 연구이다. FMS 생산 시스템의 성능 (Performance)을 기존의 생산률(Production Rate)외에 기대생산률 (Expected Production Rate), 평균 대기작업량(Mean Queueue Length), 및 기대 투자이용률(Expected Investment Utilization Rate)과 이들 각각의 분산 (Variance)들을 고려하였다. 이러한 성과측정 문제를 수리 모델링하고 이를 이용하여 각 작업장에서의 가공 장비의 그룹(Machine Group)별 최적 작업배 분(Workload) 조건을 보였다. 또한 위의 과정을 최근의 FMS 전용 Simulator인 FACTOR/AIM을 이용한 분석 결과와 비교하여 보였다.

유연생산 시스템의 최적 복수 경로 계획 (Optimal Planning of Multiple Routes in Flexible Manufacturing System)

  • We consider the simultaneous selection of part routes for multiple part types in Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMSs). Using an optimization framework we investigate two alternative route assignment policies. The one, called routing mix policy in the literature, specifies the optimal proportion of each part type to be produced along its alternative routes, assuming that the proportions can be kept during execution. The other one, which we propose and call pallet allocation policy, partitions the pallets assigned to each part type among the routes. The optimization framework used is a nonlinear programming superimposed on a closed queueing network model of an FMS which produces multiple part types with distinct repeated visits to certain workstations. The objective is to maximize the weighted throughput. Our study shows that the simultaneous use of multiple routes leads to reduced bottleneck utilization, improved workload balance, and a significant increase in the FMS's weighted throughput, without any additional capital investments. Based on numerical work, we also conjecture that pallet allocation policy is more robust than routing mix policy, operationally easier to implement, and may yield higher revenues.

시뮬레이션을 이용한 전시국내 육로 수송 능력평가 (Evaluation of Wartime Domestic Overland Transportation Capability using Simulation)

  • The ROK TRANSCOM and Army Logistics Command have established wartime overland transportation plans. They have to mobilize several wartime overland transportation troops in order to meet the wartime transportation requirement. But there are some uncertainties in the process of transportation such as the number of vehicles to mobilize, the vehicle utilization factor, and round trip time. Here, we established two models. One is the simulation model to evaluate the transportation capability considering uncertain factors. The simulation model is executed with two scenarios and then the results are analyzed through a sensitivity analysis. The other model is the regression model to analyze the effects of transportation factors toward capability.

A study on human performance in graphic-aided scheduling tasks

  • In many industrial situations the human acts as the primary scheduler since there often exist various constraints and considerations that may not be mathematically or quantitatively defined. For proper design of interactive scheduling systems, how human strategy and performance are affected by the fashion of human-computer interaction at various levels of task complexity should be investigated. In this study, two scheduling experiments were conducted. The first one showed that human schedulers could perform better than simple heuristic rules with each of typical performance measures such as average machine utilization, average tardiness, and maximum tardiness. In experiment 2, the effect of providing computer-generated initial solution was investigated. The results was that in complex problems the subjects performed significantly better when the initial solutions were generated by themselves, evidencing the importance of the continuity of strategic search through the problem.

  • Developing an interactive satellite multi­media system, such as a digital video broadcasting (DVB) return channel via satellite (RCS) system, is gaining popularity over the world To accommodate the increasing traffic demand we are motivated to investigate an alternative for improving return channel utilization We develop an efficient method for optimal packet scheduling in an interactive satellite multimedia system using hybrid CDMA/TDMA channels. We formulate the timeslot-code assignment problem as a binary integer programming (BIP) problem, where the throughput maximization is the objective, and decompose this BIP problem into two sub-problems for the purpose of solution efficiency. With this decomposition, we promote the computational efficiency in finding the optimal solution of the original BIP problem Since 2001, ETRI has been involved in a development project where we have successfully completed an initial system integration test on broadband mobile Internet access via Ku-band channels using the proposed resource allocation algorithm.

  • This study is concerned with a heuristic algorithm that can make effectively the machine-part grouping in early stage for designing cellular manufacturing systems. By enhancing the Close Neighbour Algorithm(CNA), the proposed algorithm is concerned with making the machine-part grouping that can maximize machine utilization and minimize part's intercell movement by reducing exceptional elements. The algorithm is tested against existing algorithms in solving several machine-part initial matrices extracted from references and obtained by using random number. Test results shows that a solution matrix of the algorithm has superior grouping efficiency to Close Neighbour Algorithm.

The Impact of Reliability Growth on Spares Provisioning

  • Reliability growth modeling can be a requirement when bidding on large military hardware systems. Under current reliability warranty legislature, the reliability growth model can be later translated into necessary reliability performance which must be demonstrated over an extended period of usage. In this paper the modeling situation is concerned with determining the number of spares needed to support a projected reliability growth both at the fightine and in a depot inventory. The model differs from existing models for logistics planning in that we allow for the phenomena of reliability growth. The model can also be used to determine central depot staffing requirements based upon a specified system utilization.

Coordinating Production Order and Scheduling Policy under Capacity Imbalance

  • This paper comes from an observation that overemphasis on capacity utilization meausre, which is usual under capacity shortage, can seriously hurt the firm's profit and potential process improvement. We suggest a model that can be used in designing a coordination scheme for decentralized marketing and manufacturing activities. Using a price and time-sensitive demand and capacitated lotsizing model, we derive an effective communication medium betwen marketing and manufacturing. This Balance Indicator of process capacity and flexibility also implies that the increase in capacity availability and setup time reduction should be balanced by its market requirements. This is particularly important when a firm tries to improve its process capability by kaizen. Further, the model can be used to show the comparative performances of scheduling policies under capacity imbalnce. We show the shortening the scheduling cycle can improve the firm profit without changing the simple scheduling rule.
