A Study on Image Pursuit Behavior according to Body Surveillance, Body Shame of Women using Image-Based SNS (이미지 기반 SNS 사용 여성의 신체감시성, 신체수치심에 따른 이미지추구행동 연구)

  • This study examines the image pursuit behavior according to body surveillance, body shame of image-based SNS-used women. Questionnaires were administered to 215 SNS-used women aging between 20 to 30 years old. The SPSS 25.0 package was utilized for data analysis, which included frequency analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's α, correlation analysis and regression analysis. The study analyzed the relationship between body surveillance, body shame single factor, and subfactors of image pursuit behavior(conformity, instrumentality, fashion pursuit, attractiveness pursuit, ostentation pursuit, interpersonal). It was observed that body surveillance and body shame had a positive influence on all the factors of image pursuit behavior. Body surveillance demonstrated a high influence on attractiveness pursuit while body shame demonstrated a high influence on ostentation pursuit. Body surveillance had a positive influence on body shame. These results provide useful information for understanding the influence of social media on the psychological attitude and consciousness of women with regard to their body and image pursuit behavior. In addition, results from this study will help to systematize women's theoretical physical consciousness, establish product strategies for physical appearance-related industries, and set marketing directions.

Influence of SNS Addiction Tendency on Nursing Student's Adjustment of University Life (간호대학생의 SNS 중독 경향성이 대학 생활 적응에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the influence of social network site (SNS) addiction on the ability of nursing students to adjust to university life and to generate the basic data to develop programs that could improve this ability. The data was collected from questionnaires that were filled out by 255 nursing students in two universities located in Jeollanam-do and Gyeonggi-do from May 16, 2020 to May 20, 2020. The data was analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 program (frequency, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression). The mean scores of SNS addiction and adjustment to university life were 2.16±0.54 (range:1-5) and 3.13±0.39 (range:1-5) respectively. SNS addiction accounts for 27% of the variance in adjustment to university life. The study concluded that SNS addiction negatively affects adjustment to university life among nursing students. To ensure better adjustment a program should be developed to treat SNS addiction early. Also, a study will have to be conducted to determine the time when tendency toward SNS addiction becomes apparent, to initiate treatment.

Effects of SNS Social Capital on Trust and Purchase Intention of Food Products: Focused on the Moderating Effects of Perceived Risk and SNS Receiver Characteristics (SNS 사회적 자본이 외식상품 신뢰와 구매의도에 미치는 영향: 지각된 위험과 SNS 수신자 특성의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of two types of social capital on trust and purchase intention of food products. In addition, the moderating roles of perceived risk and SNS receiver characteristics were also examined. The survey for this study was conducted from the 17th to the 30th of June, 2016 through SNS using the convenience sampling method. A total of 230 responses were collected, of which 200 were used for analysis, after excluding responses containing missing data. Multiple regression and moderated regression were conducted to verify the hypotheses. The results from this study are as follows. First, it was found that social capital (bridging social capital and bonding social capital) had an effect on trust of food product. Second, perceived risk of food product was found to moderate the relationship between social capital (bridging social capital and bonding social capital) and trust. Third, trust of food product significantly impacted purchase intention. Fourth, SNS receiver characteristics of food product were found to moderate the relationship between trust and intention;, and trust of food product was found to mediate the relationship between bridging social capital and purchase intention.

An Exploratory Study on the Relationship between SNS Use during a Task and Task Performance: An Analysis of Task Complexity Difference (작업 수행 중 SNS 사용과 작업 성과의 관계에 관한 탐색적 연구: 작업의 난이도에 따른 차이 분석)

  • Although the relationship between social networking sites (SNS) use and performance has been widely studied, most of these studies have focused on comparing the SNS users' overall performance with that of non-SNS users instead of examining how using SNS midway of a task affects one's task performance. To address this research gap, an experiment was conducted to examine SNS use during a task and its influence on the performance of that task. In this experiment, the role of SNS in various situations was examined by reviewing the literature on break and performance as well as the types of breaks and tasks. Owing to its exploratory nature, this study used various types of data, such as electroencephalography interpretation data generated from a brain-computer interface, self-reported data, and data recorded by a computer. Those participants who used SNS showed an improved performance compared with those who took a short break while doing a simple task. Further analysis showed that the degree of SNS usage and engagement with SNS had positive effects on the participants' simple task performance, while social presence and reassurance of self-worth had negative and positive effects on the participants' complex task performance, respectively.

  • Applying iterative learning utilizing SNS & Community to the class for pre-kindergarten teachers, the effectiveness of teaching satisfaction, self-efficacy, and curriculum understanding was verified. A iterative learning model utilizing SNS & Community in teachers leading traditional off-line teaching at college education field was applied separately into thinking to one-self by advance organizer, thinking together by presentation in the beginning of the class, and sharing the thoughts by community activities after the class. Iterative learning begins by being sent SNS to students from teachers before the class, but learners for themselves subsequently start to proceed self-directed learning activities. As a result, class satisfaction and understanding of pedagogy have been increased, and it had a positive influence on self-efficacy. Thus, it is to suggest utilizable SNS of professors and a teaching method utilizing Community to college students who need basic learning skills.

  • Owing to supply of smart phones and the diffusion of SNS, the number of peoples who are living, linked with us, is incomparably more than in the past. The continuous communication is essential in maintaining good relationship, so peoples have no choice but to seek for most efficient communication method in order to maintain good relationship. This thesis intended to advise how to construct next generation immersive multi-media system, using augmented reality and MPEG-V that have come to the fore recently. In addition, the SNS platform service of new type was suggested in this thesis, in connection with the pairing service. Now, we can create a town in a specific space like the real world, if we utilize the augmented reality that became possible by SNS service and we can talk and exchange informations in that space. This system would provide various services peoples wish to have, interlocking experiences through five senses like sense of vision, sense of hearing, sense of touch and etc..

Fake SNS Account Identification Technique Using Statistical and Image Data (통계 및 이미지 데이터를 활용한 가짜 SNS 계정 식별 기술)

  • As Internet technology develops, SNS users are increasing. As SNS becomes popular, SNS-type crimes using the influence and anonymity of social networks are increasing day by day. In this paper, we propose a fake account classification method that applies machine learning and deep learning to statistical and image data for fake accounts classification. SNS account data used for training was collected by itself, and the collected data is based on statistical data and image data. In the case of statistical data, machine learning and multi-layer perceptron were employed to train. Furthermore in the case of image data, a convolutional neural network (CNN) was utilized. Accordingly, it was confirmed that the overall performance of account classification was significantly meaningful.

A Design of a TV Advertisement Effectiveness Analysis System Using SNS Big-data (SNS Big-data를 활용한 TV 광고 효과 분석 시스템 설계)

  • As smart-phone usage increases, the number of Social Networking Service (SNS) users has also exponentially increased. SNS allows people to efficiently exchange their personal opinion, and for this reason, it is possible to collect the reaction of each individual to a given event in real-time. Nevertheless, new methods need to be developed to collect and analyze people's opinion in real-time in order to effectively evaluate the impact of a TV advertisement. Hence, we designed and constructed a system that analyzes the effect of an advertisement in real-time by using data related to the advertisement collected from SNS, specifically, Twitter. In detail, Hadoop is used in the system to enable big-data analysis in parallel, and various analyses can be conducted by conducting separate numerical analyses of the degrees of mentioning, preference and reliability. The analysis can be accurate if the reliability is assessed using opinion mining technology. The proposed system is therefore proven to effectively handle and analyze data responses to divers TV advertisement.

Presentation of Self and SNS Posting Styles: Focusing on Goffman's Impression Management Framework (자아 표현과 SNS 게시 형식: 고프만의 인상관리 이론을 중심으로)

  • People use various tools to present themselves including Social Network Services(SNS hereafter). This study categorized three types of presentation of self, which are genuine, ideal, and social self, and based on Goffman's Impression Management Framework, investigated if these types of presentations have any patterns related to SNS posting styles. Especially, we focused on the styles of hashtags including if hashtags are used in the main tests, if hashtags are hidden, and what kinds of words are used for hashtags. Using 450 posting data uploaded to the Instagram, we found that the posting presenting ideal self show very high rate of using hidden hashtags(98%) and using common expressions(97%), which are not the case for genuine and social self types. This results imply that people concern more about their impressions especially when they present their ideal self on SNS, partially confirming Goffman's Impression Management Framework.

  • This study aims to analyze the effect of marketing using Chinese public library WeChat official accounts on the perception of the library and loyalty. For this purpose, research possibilities were explored, and a questionnaire was developed through in-depth interviews with users who subscribed to the Chinese public library WeChat official accounts and those who did not. A survey was conducted with the questionnaire for public library users in six regions of China. As a result, it was confirmed that the characteristics of the official account operation had a positive effect on the perception of the libraries and users' loyalty. This study is meaningful in that it verified how Chinese public library marketing using SNS affected users' purpose on the use of libraries, perception of libraries, and users' loyalty, and suggested how to deal with WeChat official accounts among SNS types.
