Simulation has been recognized as one of major application areas of world wide web. Over the last several years, most research has been focused on the development of web-based simulation languages mostly using JAVA and validation of simulation modeling on web with the newly developed languages. In this paper, we develop a tentative web-based simulator for a simple unit-load automated warehouse system, named Web-SAW. In constructing Web-SAW, we program a user interface program, a simulation logic program, and an animation program with JAVA while utilizing the class library functions and embodiment environment of existing web-based simulation languages. Web-SAW simulates the automated warehouse system with the user input about system operation, displays the animation on a static background representing the system, and generates the various textual outputs after simulation.

웹 환경이 급변함에 따라 인간과 컴퓨터간의 복잡한 상호작용을 지원하기 위한 인터페이스에 대한 설계가 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 사용자 인터페이스의 품질 향상을 위하여 객체 모델링 기법을 제시한다. 사용자 인터페이스의 가시적 응집도 향상을 위하여 비즈니스 이벤트객체 모델링, 태스크 객체 모델링, 트랜잭션 객체 모델링, 폼 객체 모델링과 같은 4 가지의 비즈니스 이벤트 객체를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 4단계 설계를 통하여 사용자 인터페이스 프로토타입의 가시적 응집도를 향상시킬 수 있다. 이것은 비즈니스 이벤트의 가시적 응집도를 향상시킬 수 있도록 하고, 비숙련된 설계자도 향상된 사용자 인터페이스 프로토타입을 개발할 수 있도록 한다 또한 비즈니스 태스크의 이해도를 증진시키고 프로토타입 시스템 개발 회수를 줄일 수 있다.

디자인 프로세스의 초기단계에서 컨셉 디자인은 창의적인 아이디어 발상이 요구되는 단계로 제품의 성공과 실패여부를 조기에 판가름 할 정도로 중요한 일이다. 이를 위해 개발된 웹 기반 창의적 발상 시스템(Creative Group Thinking System:이하 CGTS)은 이와 같은 컨셉디자인 단계에서 아이디어 발상을 지원하기위해 개발된 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 HCI(Human Computer Interface)와 UI(User Interface)에 대하여 알아보고 이를 토대로 하나의 웹 기반 발상시스템(CGTS)의 UserInterface(이하 UI)를 개선하여 사용성을 높이는데 목적을 둔다.

현재 World Wide Web (이하 Web) 자체를 일반 사용자들이 인터넷으로 인식하고 있는 상황에서 잘못된 정보의 전달은 매우 큰 문제이며, 이것은 존재하는 정보를 잘못 가공하는 데에서 기인하게 된다. 잘못 가공된 정보의 전달을 방지하는 방법으로 여러가지가 있으나, 이중 가장 대표적인 것으로 인식되는 것이 바로 CSCW이다. CSCW 환경은 클라이언트-서버 환경과 같은 단일 시스템에서의 공동 작업 공간을 다중의 사용자에게 제공하여 주는 것으로 인터넷 또는 인트라넷 환경과 같은 분산 공유 정보 시스템 환경 즉, 다중의 이질적인 시스템과 다중 사용자 환경에서 사용시는 다수의 추가적 요소를 필요로 하게 된다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하려는 것이 협력으로 폐쇄적인 인터넷인 인트라넷에서의 이질적인 전산환경 특히, 교육, 생산, 마케팅 분야 및 정부에서 사용시 많은 이점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 협력의 골격이 되는 CSCW, 그룹 웨어등의 개념을 먼저 살펴보고, 다음으로 협력의 정의와 분류, 문제점 분석, 그리고 Web에서의 협력 환경 구축 방안에 대하여 기술하겠다.

A lot of microbial genome sequencing projects is being done in many genome centers around the world, since the first genome, Haemophilus influenzae, was sequenced in 1995. The deluge of microbial genome sequence data demands new and highly automatic data flow system in order for genome researchers to manage and analyze their own bulky sequence data from low-level to high-level. In such an aspect, we developed the automatic data management system for microbial genome projects, which consists mainly of local database, analysis programs, and user-friendly interface. We designed and implemented the local database for large-scale sequencing projects, which makes systematic and consistent data management and retrieval possible and is tightly coupled with analysis programs and web-based user interface, That is, parsing and storage of the results of analysis programs in local database is possible and user can retrieve the data in any level of data process by means of web-based graphical user interface. Contig assembly, homology search, and ORF prediction, which are essential in genome projects, make analysis programs in our system. All but Contig assembly program are open as public domain. These programs are connected with each other by means of a lot of utility programs. As a result, this system will maximize the efficiency in cost and time in genome research.

In this paper, we designed a new type of X-internet framework by using Flash component and server service API and analyzed its performance. Proposed X-internet framework uses Flash MX Professional 2004, Java, and software which opened middleware and database. Since proposed framework use the server service API that we developed in this paper and Flash player, this framework does not need server module. Proposed framework enables to obtain design with dynamic user interface compare to Web application and enables to reduce development time. In analytical results, it has been shown that proposed x-internet framework have efficient characteristics such as network traffic, low development cost and dynamic user interface implementation. Since proposed X-internet framework can operate in environment of current developer friendly, it is useful for development of various new application programs and we confirm it through Flash web mail implementation by using proposed x-internet framework.

The paper is an outline of development of vibration troubleshooting database on Web Browser which has been able to connect with the Internet. When the vibration trouble have occurred in industrial field, most important matter is that how to solve it. We expect it effective to solve the matter to develop a case base system. The System is expected that the access speed will be fast to connect with the Internet and the user will be free from to learn search queries to use graphical user interface(WWW) as a search interface.

데이터베이스와 연동하는 웹 응용에 대한 수요가 비즈니스론 포함하는 모든 분야에서 급속히 증가하고 있다. 그러나 급증하는 수요에 비해 웹 응용의 작성 및 유지 보수에 많은 시간과 노력이 소요되고 있다. 본 논문에서 소개하는 웹 스크립트 자동 생성기인 WebGen은 웹 응용에 필요한 폼들과 이 폼들을 통해 이루어지는 질의에 대해 데이터베이스와 연동하여 처리하는 웹 스크립트들을 자동 생성하는 소프트웨어 도구다. WebGen은 웹 응용 개발자가 작성하는 구성파일(configuration file)에 정의된 선언적인 내용을, 생성될 스크립트의 기본 원형인 내장된 템플릿(template)에 반영하여 5개의 웹 스크립트들(Search, Select, Edit, Information, Action)을 생성한다. Action 스크립트를 제외한 나머지 스크립트들은 사용자 인터페이스로 각각 해당되는 웹 폼을 생성한다. 따라서 WebGen은 웹 응용 작성을 위한 시간과 노력을 크게 줄여 웹 응용의 생산성을 향상시킨다. 상용 웹 스크립트 생성기들과 달리, WebGen은 상호 독립적인 템플릿들을 기반으로 하기 때문에 버전 관리가 용이하고 한 폼에 표현 가능한 정보도 관심의 대상인 엔티티 외에 이 엔티티와 직 간접적으로 연관된 모든 엔티티들을 포함한다.

최근 웹에 접근할 수 있는 다양한 기기들의 출현은 웹 개발 분야에 많은 기술적 변화를 가져왔다. 그러나 아직도 일부 웹 사이트들은 여전히 PC 중심으로 운영되고 있고, 특히 직업훈련관리 시스템은 폐쇄적이고 지원 부족으로 PC만을 타깃으로 한 사용자 웹 인터페이스를 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 직업훈련관리 시스템을 대상으로 다양한 디바이스에서 적용할 수 있는 기술과 메뉴구성으로 훈련생들이 보다 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 적용 기술을 제시하고, 구현된 시스템을 실제 현장에서 적용하여 효율성을 검증하였다.

그리드 포탈 서비스는 기존의 어플리케이션 기반 그리드 서비스가 갖는 시간적 공간적 제약을 극복하여 보다 유연한 연구 환경을 제공한다. 그러나 사용자 인터페이스와 같은 사용자 요구 사항은 개발 기간 동안 불분명하기도 하고 자주 변하기도 한다. 그러므로 그리드 서비스를 위한 사용자 인터페이스를 만들고 유지 관리하는 비용을 줄일 수 있는 방안이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 유저 인터페이스 개발이 보다 쉽고 코드의 재사용률을 증가시킬 수 있는 객체 기반의 컨트롤 모델을 제안한다. 이 모델에서는 프레젠테이션 페이지의 구조를 보다 명확히 기술할 수 있고 액션들을 구현하는 것이 보다 쉽고 간단하다.
