본 연구는 웹 서핑 지원을 위한 적응형 사용자 에이전트의 설계를 위해 사용자 데이터 수집, 데이터 처리를 통한 사용자 프로파일 구축 및 개선, 그리고 사용자 프로파일의 적용을 통한 적응 등 세 가지 이슈를 집중 연구하였다. 그 결과 웹 상에서 작동하는 적응형 사용자 에이전트를 위한 기능 정의 및 주요 구성 요소들을 설계하고 세부 모형을 구현하였다. 내부적으로는 두 개의 독립된 에이전트의 협동 체제에 의해 작업 목표를 성취한다. 이들은 각각 IIA(Interactive Interface Agent) 및 UPA(User Profiling Agent)이다. 사용자 인터페이스를 관장하는 IIA는 사용자에게 현재 웹 문서의 대강을 파악하고 나아가서 검색 질의어를 선택할 수 있게 하는 키워드 색인(Keyword Index)과, 계층 구조 방식의 사용자 검색 과정을 나타내는 제안 링크(Suggest Link)를 제공함으로서 사용자 친숙한 인터페이스 환경을 제시한다. UPA는 사용자에 관한 정적 정보와 브라우징 행위에서 나타나는 동적 정보를 사용자 프로파일에 반영한다. 특히, 사용자 관심을 반영하는 관심 벡터(Interest Vector)의 개념을 정립하고 근접도(similarity) 평가에 의해 이들을 갱신하고 추가함으로써 사용자 관심을 동적으로 프로파일링하는 체계를 제시하였다.

본 연구는 UDDI에서 검색된 정보를 서비스 사용자에게 전달하여 서비스 사용자가 제공자에게 사양서를 요구하던 절차를 간소화하기 위해서 진행되었다. UDDI로부터 바로 제공자에게 WSDL문서를 요구하도록 하였다. 이를 위해서 UDDI에서 제공자에게 XML형태의 메시지를 생성하여 전달하도록 하였다. 이 메시지에는 서비스 사용자의 위치정보를 포함하고 있어 UDDI에서 요구한 문서가 서비스 사용자에게 전달된다. 메시지는 XML형태의 SOAP 프로토콜을 이용하였다.

System analysis programs have been developed by several different research groups. Especially, the programming languages and the developing environments of algorithm modules and user interface modules are different. And therefore, the differences have degraded interoperability and reusability of the system analysis modules. in order to solve this problems, a general binary interface has designed and the component based on the interface has developed as well. However, sometimes each interface is uncompatible because those are designed on the particular vendor. In this paper, we deals with XML web service, Sort of distributed processing architecture, which is not restricted by not only the existing internet standard but also any Programming language or any vendor. Because of its platform independent, each module can be updated and extended independently.

This paper is aimed at defining items of analysis using SNMP MIB-II for the purpose of managing the Internet based network running on TCP/IP protocol, and then utilize these items, in conjunction with various Web technology and JAVA to design and implement a Web based interface of a management system to analyze the performance and status of the Internet. Among the required items in order to accomplish this task are utilization, interface packet transmission rate, I/O traffic ratio, and so on. Based on these items, the actual analysis is carried out by the Web interface according to the type of analysis. For instance, the interface executes the function of real-time analysis, collection processing, elementary analysis and detailed analysis. The demand of the user is fed into the Web interface which carried out a real-time analysis with the client system which in turn will eventually produce the results of the analysis. In order words, the interface acts as a mediator server for the analysis system. Furthermore, a protocol for exchange of data and messages between the server and the analysis system, the MATP protocol, was also designed. Finally, the results obtained through the system presented in this paper were displayed on screen according to the type of analysis. The system realized in this paper uses We technology and is independent of platform and allows the user to determine the performance of Internet at his/her own host according to the selected items of analysis.

XML을 이용한 사용자 인터페이스(UI : User Interface)명세에 관한 연구로 다양한 UI 명세언어(UIDL : User Interface Description Language)들이 등장하였다. 기존의 UIDL들은 웹과 데스크톱 어플리케이션의 UI 명세를 지원하지만, 모바일 어플리케이션을 위한 명세는 지원하지 않는다. 본 논문에서는 자바의 모바일 플랫폼인 J2ME(Java Platform, Micro Edition)의 응용 모델인 MIDlet UI 명세를 위한 MIML(Midlet Interface Markup Language)을 제안한다. 제안한 MIML로부터 MIDlet의 UI와 관련된 자바 코드를 자동으로 생성하기 위한 규칙을 제안하고, 이를 이용하여 MIML을 자동으로 자바코드로 만들어주는 J2MERenderer를 구현하였다. 제안한 MIML은 모바일 UI 명세의 효율성을 제공하고, J2MERenderer는 모바일 어플리케이션의 UI 개발에 생산성과 일관성을 유지하도록 도와준다.

The elderly population is rapidly increasing worldwide, but many face challenges in using digital tools like the Internet due to health and incapacity issues. Existing online search user interfaces (UIs) often overlook the specific usability needs of the elderly. This study proposes an adaptable web search UI model for the elderly, based on their perspectives, to enhance search performance and usability. The proposed UI model is evaluated through comparative usability testing with 20 participants, comparing it to the Google search UI. Effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction are measured using task completion time, error rate, and subjective preferences. The results show significant differences (p > 0.05) between the proposed web search UI model and the Google search UI. The proposed UI model achieves higher subjective satisfaction levels, indicating better alignment with the needs and preferences of elderly users. It also reduces task completion time, indicating improved efficiency, and decreases the error rate, suggesting enhanced effectiveness. These findings emphasize the importance of considering the unique usability needs of the elderly when designing search UIs. The proposed adaptable web search UI model offers a promising approach to enhance the digital experiences of elderly users. This study lays the groundwork for further development and refinement of adaptable web search UI models that cater to the specific needs of elderly users, enabling designers to create more inclusive and user-friendly search interfaces for the growing elderly population.

An online suit-customizing system for the special accessibility needs of wheelchair users should be developed because the demand for business suits by wheelchair users involved in economic activities has increased. This study develops a user interface an online customizing system for men's suits specialized for wheelchair users. This study used a five-step approach: (1) search for online men's suits customizing system in web porter sites, (2) select three sites based on three terms, (3) heuristic testing with five web specialists, (4) development of a system user interface based on suggestions for improvement from the heuristic test, (5) usability testing of the user interface prototype by 10 disabled men in wheelchairs. The interface of Company S had high ratings on interactivity, accessibility, informativeness, and consistency in the heuristic test results; subsequently, a user interface was developed based on suggestions for improvement from the heuristic test. This online user interface for customizing men's suits provides better usability to wheelchair users than existing online interfaces aimed at the non-disabled and disabled; consequently, this study contributes to the commercialization of an online customizing system for men's suits specializing in serving wheelchair users.

The environment of If is, currently, on its developing process to the period of Web Service, Ubiquitous, and Telemetics which not only enable computer and internet to be utilized like the water or the air, but also be a new motivating force for its advance. In the respect of various interactions and User Interface, however, it is requiring more demands from its users, and additional functions which cannot be provided by the Web Browser. It is required a new model for supplementary of the limitation of Web_based according to their customers' requirement, to enrich the good aspects of Client-Server System, and accept such various intricate requirements. It is X-Internet, which has born with these requirements. In this study, therefore, it will be suggested a productive development framework and a method to perform the project on Rich-Thin Client Platform of X-Internet Based.

Recent use of digital video contents increases visual fatigue of users. As a result, it has been difficult that the existing video methods make users focus on the content with interest and deliver stories intended by contents producers. Parallax scrolling is getting the spotlight as a new way which are keeping the fluent visual advantages of video and help users maintaining their attention with simple maneuver. In this study, based on a survey, it would compare the user experience in an existing video in Web contents and parallax scrolling Web contents. As a result, it showed that using the parallax scrolling Web sites improve user sensibilities such as aesthetic, novelty and pleasure of user experiences. A remarkable thing is that users replied parallax scrolling is not much comfortable to use. According to the result, researchers suggest that using parallax scrolling in Web site needs thoughtful decision in making and managing of Web contents.
