An increasing number of children are now using the Internet. They are starting at a younger age, using a variety of devices and spending more time online. It becomes an important problem to protect the children in online environment. The Internet can be a major channel for their education, creativity and self-expression. However, it also carries a spectrum of risks to which children are more vulnerable than adults. In order to solve these problems, we suggested a binding model of user attributes for enhanced user authentication. We also studied the requirements and prerequisites of a binding model of user attributes. In this paper we described the architecture of binding model of user attributes and showed the effectiveness of the suggested model using simulation. This model can be utilized to enhanced user authentication and service authorization.

본 논문은 컴포넌트 검색 성능을 향상시키기 위해 사용자 피드백을 효율적으로 수행하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 기존의 퍼지 기법이 적용된 피드백의 단점을 극복하기 위하여 검색된 컴포넌트의 선택여부에 따라 동일한 함수이지만 학습률을 달리할 수 있는 가우시안 함수를 이용한 상호작용 함수를 제안한다. 또한 피드백 함수에 사용자 프로필을 적용하여 사용자 등급에 따라 사용자 의견이 시스템에 반영되는 정도를 다르게 해주었다. 본 연구의 사용자 검색 피드백은 가우시안 함수를 적용한 피드백 함수와 사용자 프로필을 이용하여 시스템을 장기간에 걸쳐 서서히 변화시킬 수 있는 적응형 검색 방법이다.

This study was conducted to develop user interface design guidelines for those who design education software products (web sites or CD-ROM titles). To establish this guideline scheme, international standards, commercial design guidelines, and research papers were surveyed. Especially, ISO 9241 was referred as a basic model of a guideline scheme. First, the research group developed draft guidelines. After that, education software developers, designers, and a user group reviewed the draft and the draft was revised with their commentations. Five components were selected as a primary class of guideline scheme: general principle, dialogue design, user guidance, visual interface, and information presentation. Each component was divided several components as a secondary class. Finally, 45 items were selected as user interface design guidelines for the education software design.

The information available on the Internet has become widely used, primarily due to the ability of Web based E-Commerce and M-Commerce Retrieval Engines to find useful information for users. However, present day Commerce Retrieval Engines are far from perfect because they return results based on simple user keyword matches without any regard for the concepts in which the user is interested. In this thesis, we design and evaluate a Recommender system for web context aware based information retrieval using user profiles. Also, we designed personalization framework in ubiquitous environment based both e-commerce and m-commerce and presented the interaction of user profile including User XQuery pattern in semantic web.

The study is to assist system developers or designers who are participated in the design of the user-computer interface on online services such as Online Public Access Catalogue and Online Search-ins. To design the optimal user interface, system developers and designers should try to complete the following process orderly: 1) they should know and understand the active and potential user's information seeking behaviors concerning online services in details as possible. 2) they should design the conceptional user model on basis of that knowledge. 3）They should design the logical and hierachical computer model adaptable to the current environment. 4) they should design the display of the computer terminal which is ease to learn and use by the users. 5) finally, they should design the optimal and practical user inter-face on basis of the above 2, 3, and 4.

사용자 인터페이스는 프로그램 상호 연동의 중요한 요소가 된다. 사용자 인터페이스에서 발생되는 오류는 전체 시스템에 영향을 주게 되고, 그 결과 고객의 만족도가 낮아진다. 따라서 도메인 단계에서 신뢰성 있는 분석을 위하여 사용자 인터페이스의 형태를 분석할 수 있는 방법이 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위하여 도메인 분석의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 사용자 인터페이스의 추출 방법과 기준을 제시하고자 한다.

In this paper, a new text-based method is suggested for the user-system interaction. The use of text-based user interface is mote efficient under situation which don't be introduced the GUI because of the limitation of hardware cost or improvement of system performance. The dialogical method using suggested hierarchical structure is the easier for a convenience of usage and the method in this paper is the more useful as considering knowledgeable background and environment of task for user As a practical example, the method for the proposed text-based user interface construction is applied to Double-Lift Open Shedding Electronic Jacquard.

Many office tasks have been automated by using computers to increase task productivity. The productivity of performing office tasks is dependent not only upon automating the task procedures, but also upon the usability of user interfaces. However, the literature lacks human factors research on evaluating the usability of user interface styles when they are used for performing different office tasks. This study evalu- ated the usability of user interfaces styles when performing various office tasks. User interface styles considered include menu-selection, command language, form fill-in, iconic styles, etc. A task analysis was conducted toclassify representative office tasks. A variety of analysis techniques such as brainstorming, analytic hierarchy process, prototyping, and expert opinions were used to evaluate the usability of the interfaces. The analysis procedures and results are described along with guidelines for selecting user interfaces in terms of subjective preferences and performance measures.

Recently, identifying user locations is becoming important as the society evolves into an ubiquitous society with the innovation of information technology. Particularly, many researches on identifying user locations are headed in direction to identify locations of users in the indoors, because a GPS that is widely used to identify the locations of users in the outdoors is inapplicable in the indoors. However, those researches are mostly not useful to general indoor environment because they are performed in a specific environment with specialized or customized devices such as UWB, RFID. Therefore, in this paper we propose a effective method to identify user locations in general indoor environments with wireless local network access points. Our approach enables to identify user location efficiently by measuring signal power of access points around the user and using the FRIIS formula which is used to calculate the distance among the things.

The purpose of this study is to suggest configuration methods of sensor according to user's behaviors in the ubiquitous house. Recently, with appearing the concept of 'Ubiquitous', the applications of ubiquitous technologies on the our environment adopt a new paradigm. This new paradigm leads to the possibility of creating more intellectual dwelling environment according to user's behaviors. This paper suggests to change our dwelling by considering both engineering technology and considering the character of dwelling, because the house should provide causes humans with comfortability. Therefore, we need to understand user's behaviors in the dwelling, towards user friendly environment.
