This study analyzed the effect of the extracurricular activity management system on user satisfaction. For this purpose, the effects of content, navigation, screen frame, design, interaction, and error handling factors on user satisfaction were analyzed. A survey was conducted on 321 students of K University located in Chungcheongbuk-do, and the research results based on the survey contents are as follows. First, content, navigation, screen frame, interactivity, and error handling, which are major elements of the extracurricular activity management system, showed statistically significant results. Second, interactivity and error handling were found to have the greatest influence on the factors affecting user satisfaction of the extracurricular activity management system. In this study, it was found that the interaction of the whole system including contents is important for continuous improvement of the extracurricular activity management system, and that it has a positive effect on user satisfaction when prompt error handling is possible.
This paper describes a framework for multimodal object manipulation in virtual environments. The gist of the proposed framework is the semantic integration of multimodal input using spatial ontology and user context to integrate the interpretation results from the inputs into a single one. The spatial ontology, describing the spatial relationships between objects, is used together with the current user context to solve ambiguities coming from the user's commands. These commands are used to reposition the objects in the virtual environments. We discuss how the spatial ontology is defined and used to assist the user to perform object placements in the virtual environment as it will be in the real world.

We present a method for tracking and interaction based on hybrid sensing for virtual environments. The proposed method is applied to motion tracking of whole areas, including the user's occlusion space, for a high-precision interaction. For real-time motion tracking surrounding a user, we estimate each joint position in the human body using a combination of a depth sensor and a wand-type physical user interface, which is necessary to convert gyroscope and acceleration values into positional data. Additionally, we construct virtual contents and evaluate the validity of results related to hybrid sensing-based whole-body tracking of human motion methods used to compensate for the occluded areas.

In this paper, we employ deep neural network (DNN) to discern Android user interaction data distribution from artificial data distribution. We utilize real Android user interaction trace dataset collected from [1] to evaluate our DNN design. In particular, we use sequential model with 4 dense hidden layers and 1 dense output layer in TensorFlow and Keras. We also deploy sigmoid activation function for a dense output layer with 1 neuron and ReLU activation function for each dense hidden layer with 32 neurons. Our evaluation shows that our DNN design fulfills high test accuracy of at least 0.9955 and low test loss of at most 0.0116 in all cases of artificial data distributions.
On top of presenting the possibility of expanding the game space to social space through mobile communication, MSNG reinforces the strengths of SNS and the fun of games through closer networks between users. This study empirically verified the effects of the characteristics of MSNG on interactions and user satisfaction by dividing the main characteristics of MSNG into graphics, challenge spirit, and reward, and then dividing the main characteristics of mobile social network service into social interaction and technical interaction. In the results of study, the main characteristics of MSNG such as graphics, challenge spirit, and reward all had significant effects on the social interaction and technical interaction while the social interaction and technical interaction of MSNG also had significant effects on the user satisfaction, so that the hypotheses of this study were all selected. The influence of the characteristics of MSNG on interactions might be because of shared feedbacks through graphics, game tasks, and reward in the performance process of MSNG, and such interactions make diverse people have the horizontal or circular communication, which is led to the increase of user satisfaction.
Objective: The goal of this research is to develop new user behavior model using user motion analysis with microscopic perspective for attracting user's participation in interactive space. Background: The interactive space is 'human's place', which is made up of complex elements of digital virtual space and traditional analog and physical environment based on human-computer interaction system. Human behavior has changed in it at the same time. If the user couldn't make participation in interaction, the purpose of the system is not met, which reduces its effect. Therefore, we need to focus on interactive space that is potential future direction from a new point of view. Method: For this research, we would discuss and study fields of interactive space; (1) finding definition of interactive space and studying background of theory about it. (2) providing base of user behavior model with study of user's context that is to be user information and motion. (3) examining user motion, classify basic motion type and making user participation behavior model in phases. Results: Through this process, user's basic twenty motions which are systematized are taken as a standard for analysis of interaction process and participation in interactive space. Then, 'NK-$I^5$ (I Five)' model is developed for user participation types in interactive space. There are five phases of user participation behavior: Imperception, Interest, Involvement, Immersion, and Influence. In this analysis, three indicators which are time, motion types, and user relationship are found to be related to participation. Conclusion: The capabilities and limitation of this research is discussed to attract user participation. This paper focuses especially on contribution of design to lead user's participation in interactive system and expectation to help adapt to user centered design of various interactive space with new aspect of user behavior research. Application: The results of the 'NK-$I^5$ (I Five)' model might help to realize successful interactive space based on user centered design.
Many interaction methods for augmented reality has attempted to reduce difficulties in tracking of interaction subjects by either allowing a limited set of three dimensional input or relying on auxiliary devices such as data gloves and paddles with fiducial markers. We propose Spatial Interaction (SPINT), a noncontact passive method that observes an occupancy state of the spaces around target virtual objects for interpreting user input. A depth-sensing camera is introduced for constructing the virtual space sensors, and then manipulating the augmented space for interaction. The proposed method does not require any wearable device for tracking user input, and allow versatile interaction types. The depth perception anomaly caused by an incorrect occlusion between real and virtual objects is also minimized for more precise interaction. The exhibits of dynamic contents such as Miniature AR System (MINARS) could benefit from this fluid 3D user interface.
In this paper, we propose a real-time interaction method using user's mouth wind in mobile device. In mobile and virtual reality, user interaction technology is important, but various user interface methods is still lacking. Most of the interaction technologies are hand touch screen touch or motion recognition. In this study, we propose an interface technology that can interact with real time using user's mouth wind. The direction of the wind is determined by using the angle and the position between the user and the mobile device, and the size of the wind is calculated by using the magnitude of user's mouth wind. To show the superiority of the proposed technique, we show the result of visualizing the flow of the vector field in real time by integrating the mouth-wind interface into the Navier-Stokes equations. We show the results of the paper on mobile devices, but can be applied in the Agumented reality(AR) and Virtual reality(VR) fields requiring interface technology.
A novel and intuitive way of accessing applications of mobile devices is presented. The key idea is to use grip-pattern, which is naturally produced when a user tries to use the mobile device, as a clue to determine an application to be launched. To this end, a capacitive touch sensor system is carefully designed and installed underneath the housing of the mobile terminal to capture the image of the user's grip-pattern. The captured data is then recognized by a recognizer with dedicated preprocessing and postprocessing algorithms. The recognition test is performed to validate the feasibility of the proposed user interface system.

This paper presents a novel user interface system which aims at easy controlling of mobile devices. The fundamental concept of the proposed interface is to launch an appropriate function of the device by sensing and recognizing the grip-pattern when the user tries to use the mobile device. To this end, we develop a prototype system which employs capacitive touch sensors covering the housing of the system and a recognition algorithm for offering the appropriate function which suitable for the sensed grip-pattern. The effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method is evaluated through the test of recognition rate with the collected grip-pattern database.
