A Photogrammetric Approach to Create 3-Dimensional Models of Irregular-shaped Curves (부정형 곡선의 3차원 모델 제작에 대한 사진측량적 접근)

  • It is very important to effectively obtain the information related to the human body shape for user-centered design. The human body shape is a huge combination of various irregular curves and is typically obtained by a 3-D Scanner. 3-D scanners show high reliability; however, they are expnsive equipment with limited mobility. 3-D models of irregular-shaped curves were created by a photogrammetric approach and the errors between the original curve and the models were evaluated. 3-D models were created based on 160, 80, 40, 20, 10, and 5 marking points evenly located on the original curve. In the case of convex curve, low levels of residuals were observed in the models from 160, 80, 40, and 20 marking points (0.13% max). In the combination of convex and concave curves, relatively low levels of residuals were observed in the models from 160, 80, and 40 marking points (0.29%). It is possible to conclude that marking points should be placed at every 5% of overall length of a convex curve and at every 2.5% of overall length of a curve with convex and concave curve in order to maintain low levels of errors. A photogrammetric approach can be used as an alternative for the 3-D scanners with advantages of low cost and mobility.

  • The Enterprise Service Bus based on Java Business Integration is an web service standard and one of the methods for implementing distribution channels of Service Oriented Architecture. Consisting of open source group, extensive venders and users, the ESB based JBI has the problems of ineffectiveness as well as advantages of extensibility of service plug-in. That is, in case users need to use Service plug-in, manual connection of packaging process and sequential distribution method is required. This study, therefore, proposes as a way of trouble-shooting the user-oriented component deployment tool which can manage entire process for deploying The ESB middleware platform to Service unit. At the same time, this study elicited the requirements based on issues of JBI-based ESB and has developed the modeling property, packaging, distribution and evaluation thru Schema analysis of JBI-compatible component. Using the deployment tool this study proposed, users will be able to perform and manage the whole deploying process without additional manual work for connecting component. Not only it is expected that interface based on Graphic User Interface provide usability and convenience but they can also minimize the errors rate through component and route validity verification function provided in deployment tool.

  • In this study, Barcelona Basic Model (BBM) was implemented into TOUGH2-MP/FLAC3D for the numerical analysis of coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical (THM) behavior of unsaturated soils and the prediction of long-term behaviors. Similar to the methodology described in a previous study for the implementation of BBM into TOUGH-FLAC, the User Defined Model (UDM) of FLAC based on the Modified Cam Clay Model (MCCM) and the FISH function of FLAC3D were used to extend the existing MCCM module in FLAC3D for the implementation of BBM into TOUGH2-MP/FLAC3D. In the developed BBM module in TOUGH2-MP/FLAC3D, the plastic strains due to change in suction increase (SI) in addition to mean effective stress are calculated. In addition to loading-collapse (LC) yield surface, suction increase (SI) yield surface is changed by hardening rules in the developed BBM module. Several numerical simulations were conducted to verify and validate the implementation of BBM: using an example presented in the FLAC3D manual for the standard MCCM, simulation results using COMSOL, and experimental data presented in SKB Reports. In addition, the developed BBM analysis module was validated by simultaneously performing a series of modeling tests that were performed for the validation of the Quick tools developed for the purpose of effectively deriving BBM parameters, and by comparing the Quick tools and Code_Bright results reported in a previous study.

Development of Simulator for Rockfall and Landslide using Physical Engine (물리엔진을 사용한 낙석 및 산사태 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • This paper describes a development of system that enables the user to simulate the rockfall and landslide from slopes using physical engine. Until now, it will not be able to accomplish the virtual experiment of three-dimensional interpretation about slope informations, stability evaluation, the rockfall and landslide simulation, etc., because of absence of three-dimensional simulation systems which relates with slopes. With like that reason, this paper developed a simulator which is identical or similar the rockfall and the landslide where the possibility which will occur or occurred from actuality is high very actual condition from virtual experiment. For a simulator development, this paper uses the physical engine which is mainly used from computer game and animation development etc., And it will be show the process where the rockfall and landslide occurs with simulator. This simulator which sees the process where the rockfall and the landslide occur from three-dimension computer graphics theory and the physical engine, is a system which is the possibility of showing actual feeling. Therefore, the result of this paper is applied in vehicle travelling guidance system and intelligence traffic systematic etc., because of creates visual service and three-dimensional application of the slope information database which is developed in existing, and will be able to forecast the upgrade of user benefit planning and a service.

Text-Mining Analysis on the Interaction between the American Consumers Aged over 60 and Companion Pets Robots: Focused on Amazon Reviews for Joy For All Companion Pets (텍스트 마이닝을 활용한 미국 노년 소비자와 애완용 로봇 간 상호작용에 대한 분석: Joy For All Companion Pets에 대한 아마존 리뷰를 중심으로)

  • This study explores consumers' responses to socially assistive robotics by using text-mining method focusing on Companion Pets from Hasbro as it gives emotional support. We conducted text frequency analysis, LDA analysis using R programming. The key findings are 1)the most frequently used words the mimicry of living pets and the appearance of companion pets, 2)the five topics were derived from the LDA analysis and classified keywords in each topic split between positive and negative, 3)user, product, environment affect the interaction between consumer and companion pets, 4)consumers who have difficulty in cognition and physical conditions use companion pets to replace living pets. This study provides an understanding of consumer responses in companion pets and gives practical implications that may improve the efficacy of usage for consumers and understand the companion robot, which provides emotional support in COVID-19.

Accessibility Analysis Method based on Public Facility Attraction Index Using SNS Data (SNS 데이터를 이용한 공공시설 매력도지수에 따른 접근성 분석기법)

  • In order to expand the qualitative aspects of public facility, this study used SNS data to derive user-oriented preference factors for public facilities and then were quantified in terms of supply side and demand side. To derive preference factor, LDA, one of topic modeling, was used and attraction index was calculated for each facility. In addition we analyzed spatial accessibility to measure the degree of service experience of users by using 2SFCA model. The study area covered public libraries of Seoul, Korea. As a result of study, five topics were extracted as preference factors for the public library: Circumstance, Scale of facility, Cultural program, Parenting, Books and materials. In particular topic of circumstance and parenting were newly derived preference factors unknown in previous studies. As a result of calculating attraction index for each library, the index of Songpa Library, Jungdok Library, and Namsan Library was high. Songpa library has received good evaluation in parenting factor, and Jungdok & Namsan library in circumstance factor. The accessibility of each region seems to better in center of Seoul where public libraries are crowded, but shrinking toward the outskirts. We expect that the proposed method will contribute to user-oriented public facility evaluation and policy decision making.

Exploring the Antecedents to Affect the Intention to Use of Mobile Banking (모바일뱅킹 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 탐색)

  • Recently, as mobile banking enables to instantly provide the customized service in accordance with customer demand via information technology. With this individual customized service, mobile banking plays a role of transforming the existing offline banking strategies. However, contrary to expectation, the mobile banking service has not been widely used to the extent that it can replace offline banking service. Therefore, the current study aims to explore the antecedents to affect customer's usage of mobile banking. Specifically, the antecedents influencing the intention to use and actual usage of mobile banking include personal-innovation fit, positive psychological capital, and service quality factors, which reflect the innovative technology characteristics of mobile banking. Furthermore, the paper also analyzes the effect of mobile banking service on intention to use and actual usage of mobile banking service. With empirical analysis using Structural Equation Modeling for 195 mobile banking users, the results showed that user's ability fit, value fit, and positive psychological capital positively affected user's future intention to use and actual usage of mobile banking. Furthermore, the current paper also found the significant moderation effect of usage purpose of mobile banking (banking task and online stock exchange) in the relationship between positive psychological capital and intention to use. This study suggests that banks need to develop mobile banking services that reflect customer's IT usability as well as their pursuing purpose and value.

  • As systematic information protection and management is recognized as an organization's core value, organizations are pursuing a shift from an individual-centered information management method to an organization-oriented information management method. The Enterprise content management system(ECMS) is a solution that supports document security and information sharing by insiders and is being introduced by many organizations due to recent technological developments. The purpose of this study is to present a method of improving performance through continuous use of the ECMS from the user's point of view and also suggest a method to improve the intention of continuous use through the expansion of the technology acceptance model. This study surveyed the employees of organizations that adopted the ECMS and verified the research hypothesis derived from previous studies through structural equation modeling. As a result of the analysis, usefulness, and ease of use affected on the intention of continuous use of the ECMS, and the knowledge sharing culture and the ECMS quality factors affected the technology acceptance model factors. The results of this study have academic and practical significance in terms of suggesting a plan to increase the usability of the ECMS from the user's point of view.

Crisis Communication on Social Media during COVID-19 Pandemic: An Analysis of Facebook and YouTube (코로나19 상황에서의 소셜미디어를 활용한 위기 커뮤니케이션: 주요국의 페이스북 및 유튜브 활용 비교)

  • Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2019, the pandemic has been prolonged. This study compares and analyzes the degree of social media usage, the information type of posts (infectious disease information, promote action, psychological communication), and the level of user engagement in conducting crisis communication by country. We conduct text analysis by collecting information on Facebook and YouTube posts from January 2020 to March 2021 of disease control and prevention agencies in Korea, US, UK, and EU. As a result, the use of social media in Korea and US is higher than of the UK and EU, and all four countries are using social media as a means to provide infectious disease information and to promote action. Although social media can be a means to reach the public psychologically, such as sympathy and respect, there are no posts of psychological communication type on social media in countries other than the US. User engagement with posts is highest in the promotion action type. This study can help define the importance and role of social media in establishing an infectious disease crisis communication strategy.

Establishment about Service Level and Evaluation Model of Bus Stop (버스 정류장의 서비스 수준 및 평가모델 구축에 관한 연구)

  • Bus stop is necessary to improve user-focused environment to offer convenient service because of the large number of passengers. This study is to analyze user's evaluation and establishment model of the service levels at bus stop using GAP analysis, IPA and Structural equation model and suggests improvement direction of bus stop. In the GAP analysis, on thirty-one service items of bus stop, the difference appeared highly from the items such as obstacle's facility and the information related to the using bus. In the current IPA service bus operation information, cadence facility and obstacle support facility need to be improved. And in service expectation bus operation information and th exchange facility, the obstacle support facility need to be improved continuously. The evaluation model of bus stop service due to a structure equation's was fitted well by structure equation. In overall satisfaction on bus stop, the waiting satisfaction is more affect the satisfaction of bus use facility. Satisfaction in bus use facility, the related information of bus operation, cadence facility, bus operation information and trans facility, obstacle support facility is more affect compare to other items. The lower overall satisfaction in bus stop is the higher the expectation of overall satisfaction is. Therefore, the information of bus operation and the support facility for the handicapped needs an active improvement plan than ever.
