A Study on Characteristics of Hundertwasser - Focus on his paintings and Architecture Projects - (훈데르트바써의 작품세계와 특성에 관한 연구 - 회화작품의 건축구현을 중심으로)

  • Art has always been a witness to its time. The art of our century has lived through two world war. In that time Friedensreich Hundertwasser was born to a half Jewish family in Vienna in 1928. He lived and died as a painter, architect, designer, ecologist, writer, innovator... etc. He was impressed form Gustav Klimt, who pioneered the Viennese Secession which was the Austrian expression of the Art-Nouveau mouvement and inspired by the works of Egon Schiele from an early date. His style as an architect was heavily influenced by Antonio Gaudi and some of the Jugendstil architects. Although his architectural work is comparable to Gaudi in its biomorphic forms and use of tile, but is currently renowned for his unique styling. His character as follows; First, Bold color - His use of color is bold, and he has a strong sense of which color work well together. Second, Curved line & Spiral - It's the primary shapes in his works against the tyranny of ugliness and the iron rule of its straight line. Spiral reveal as a transautomaism. Third, Harmony with nature - His work is the creator of beauty, of nature of harmony, peace of joy, against the contradictions of our post-industrial society. He represented these various characteristics in his works. Hundertwasser first achieved notoriety for his boldly-colored painting, he is more widely renowned today for his revolutionary architectural designs.

Quality and Characteristics of Manufacturing Sunsik with Edible Insect(Mealworm) (식용곤충(갈색거저리)을 첨가한 선식의 품질특성)

  • This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of 3 pre-treatment of mealworm(Tenebrio molitor), and offer basic research data through appropriate pre-treatment method based on the component analysis result. This study was preparing the control group sample No.0(not contain mealworm), and the other sample (Sample No.1,2,3) was using the mealworm prepared in each of the three methods. By using the sample, this study conducted an inspection for component analysis, mineral contents, pH, color value, total amount polyphenols, DPPH radical scavenging activity, reducing power, acceptance test. Each experiments are three times repeated and validated following the one-way ANOVA analysis to verify a significant difference. Acceptance test conducted by 50 consumers indicate consumption decision for sunsik. using the seven point scale, assessment for appearance, flavor, taste, texture, overall acceptance. The research findings showed that sample containing sauted mealworm(SE2) is higher preference and significant in antioxidant activity(total amount polyphenols, DPPH radical scavenging activity, reducing power). Therefore, it is better to use sauted. The result of this study suggest that sauted mealworm is good ingredient for consumer acceptability and functionality of sunsik. According to results of the study, it is suggested to make better use of food, and provide food developer with meaningful date for market targeting. In addition, this study also provides the information for improving awareness of edible insect.

School Dietitians′ Use of Processed and Package Foods in Incheon (인천지역 학교급식 영양사의 가공포장식품 이용 실태)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate school dietitians' use of processed and packaged foods in Incheon. This study was carried out through a questionnaire and the subjects were 203 school dietitians in Incheon. The results are summarized as follows. Dairy product was the processed and packaged food used most frequently by the subjects for school lunch. Most subjects used processed and packaged foods for school lunch once or twice per week. The first criteria for their choosing processed and packaged foods was manufacturing company. Also major reason for their using processed and packaged foods for school lunch was saving cooking time, easy purchase, hygienical packing and less garbage. The most common information source on processed and packaged foods for school lunch was promotion of food company. The subjects checked labelling of processed and packaged foods in order of open-date, manufacturer, origin of product, nutrition facts, ingredients and food additives. Some results were significantly different among the subjects by employment school, type of meal management and cost per meal. For children and adolescents' nutrition and well-being through school lunch, it is necessary to prepare a database of the processed and packaged foods and education program concerning nutrition labelling and food safety.

An Efficient Comparing and Updating Method of Rights Management Information for Integrated Public Domain Image Search Engine

  • In this paper, we propose a Rights Management Information(RMI) expression systems for individual sites are integrated and the performance evaluation is performed to find out an efficient comparing and updating method of RMI through various image feature point search techniques. In addition, we proposed a weighted scoring model for both public domain sites and posts in order to use the most latest RMI based on reliable data. To solve problem that most public domain sites are exposed to copyright infringement by providing inconsistent RMI(Rights Management Information) expression system and non-up-to-date RMI information. The weighted scoring model proposed in this paper makes it possible to use the latest RMI for duplicated images that have been verified through the performance evaluation experiments of SIFT and CNN techniques and to improve the accuracy when applied to search engines. In addition, there is an advantage in providing users with accurate original public domain images and their RMI from the search engine even when some modified public domain images are searched by users.

  • The Purpose of this study is to offer basic data for Whitening Cosmetics by investigating the Purchasing condition and Satisfaction in the Use of Whitening Cosmetics. The questionnaire was administered to 350 women in the Daejeon, Chungnam-do, Chungbuk-do and Daegu areas. The date was analysed by percentage, $X^2-test$ and frequency. The result of the survey can be summarized as follows: the importance of the development of functional cosmetics has increased, and among these it is possible to reaffirm the importance of whitening cosmetics. Furthermore, it can be seen that functional cosmetics are being used as a means of increasing opportunities for personal expression as a result of improved confidence and satisfaction.

  • Recently, various daylight evaluation methods for visual environment have been developed; simulation analysis methods, numerical calculation, and data monitoring methods. However, it is impossible for simulation analysis to make real scenes and visualize real images exactly. Also, a numerical calculation is considered as an out of date and time-consuming mean. Therefore, for acquisition of accurate results, many studies often use the monitoring data methods. Especially, most studies regarding discomfort glare are evaluated by measuring the physical quantity of luminance through traditional measuring Minolta Luminance meters as an instrument. But, this method has a difficulty in measuring several points at the same time because of the limitation of spaces and time when mapping. So, this study focused on the potential usefulness of High Dynamic Range photography technique as a luminance mapping tool. In order to evaluate the accuracy of proposed programs such as webHDR, Photomatix and PHOTOLUX, this paper has conducted an experiment by using Canon EOS 5D and NICON Coolpix8400 digital camera.

  • The research on production and application of hydrogen as an alternative energy in the future is being carried out actively. It hydrogen storage is necessary in order that user use hydrogen economically without much difficulty. Among the ways of hydrogen storage the method which is compressed hydrogen gas by high pressure is easier for application than other methods. In this study, we have been calculated gas with changing pressure and temperature variation of container wall through applied to mass and energy balance equation when compressing hydrogen by high pressure, and also to Beattie-Bridgeman equation of state for the kinetic of hydrogen. We will apply above date as a preliminary for design of hydrogen storage tank.

  • The wide use of chairside CAD/CAM restorations has increased the diversity of the restorative material. For the practitioner, the selection of the appropriate material is difficult amongst the variety offered by the market. Information on the characteristics of the products can be difficult to assess due to the lack of up-to-date classification and the lack of reliability of manufacturer's advertising. The purpose of this article is to structure the data on restorative materials provided by various sources in order for the practitioner to choose the product most suited to the clinical situation. The objective is to classify chairside CAD/CAM materials and to define their characteristics and indications.

Recent Trend in Hot Rolling Technology of Steels (강판 열간압연의 기술개발 동향)

  • The recent technical trend in hot rolling of steel can be described as process and product technologies which have been progressed with modern mill equipment and computers. Precise gauge and width control can be achieved by up-to-date control methods such as AGC and AWC systems. Roll benders and various shape control systems enabled high quality flatness and crown control. Mills can produce higher tensile materials by new process based on process metallurgy. The use of high speed steel rolls and on line roll grinders make the schedule free rolling easier which results in cost saving. Process itself goes toward continuous and simple flow type which has lower operation. Endless rolling and strip casting are examples of the trend. Materials with higher tensile strength and various functions have been developed in last years to meet the customer's needs and this trend will continue.

Advances in Food Irradiation and It's Potential Roles in Korea (한국에 있어서 식품조사 기술의 진보와 식품산업에서의 역할)

  • Based on the safety of irradiated foods which was demonstrated from the toxicological, microbiological and nutritional points of view, irradiation has been identified as a viable technology for food preservation and processing, having a potential both of reducing storage losses by controlling spoilage organisms, sprouting and ripening, and of improving hygienic quality of raw and processed products. Research and development over decades in the field of food irradiation have led to the regulatory approval in 37 countries and of them 25 countries including Korea are commercially utilizing food irradiation process. Although progress towards acceptance of food irradiation by the industry is slow, actual market trials have shown that once consumers have understood this technology, they are willing to buy irradiated foods. Considering recent advances in food irradiation and restrictions in the use of chemical fumigants, it is expected that food irradiation is in the process of "taking off". This paper deals with up-to-date progress in food irradiation with particular reference to domestic activities in legislation, consumer perception, commercialization, and potential applications in the food industry.
