  • Generally, it is known that the agglomeration economies appear in some industry clusters which were developed naturally. But, in Korea, most of industry clusters were built by government. This research was carried out to evaluate the performance of governments zoning investment, in other words, industry cluster policy. In this research, we use the data of manufacturing firms in Kyunggi-province. For the microeconomic analysis, we use the KIS-VALUE data of 2008. As the empirical test methods we use both multiple regressions and Propensity Score Matching. In conclusion, there is no evidences that firms in industry cluster have better performances. Surprisingly, in PSM analysis, we find the evidence that firms in industry cluster show less innovative performance.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of the urban landscape by CG(Computer Graphic) pictures and visibility analysis. In this study, the CG picture was created by using zoning data and DEM(Digital Elevation Model) on Chunchon city. The landscape type was classified into three by cluster analysis using the area rate of the element which constitutes CG picture. Visible analysis used DEM as fundamental data, and was performed by using GIS(Geographic Information System). And the frequency seen on viewshed was classified into five grades. The result of this study are as follows: 1. The area rate of the element which constitutes CG picture was high development restriction zone(43%) in type 1, green land area(39%) in type 2, and city area(24%) in type 3. 2. In the analysis results of GIS visibility analysis, it turns out that Euiam lake is important area on the landscape in all types. 3. The land use of high frequency seen on viewshed was water area, residential area in type 1, development restriction area, park area in type 2, and development restriction zone, water area in type 3.

  • In order to preserve beautiful coastal areas landscapes of Jeju Island's the landscape resource, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province is dedicated to protecting the landscape through legal regulations and deliberations. However, the Coastal Landscape of Jeju Island was continuously damaged by due to increased tourist and high development pressure. Based on buildings along the Coastal Road in Aeowal of Jeju Island, this study focused on Management Status of Coastal Areas Landscapes through the Analysis of Building Landscape Elements. As a result, 1) It was effective to limit the use and scale of buildings through legal regulations such as Use zoning. 2) The result of analysis on the physical landscape elements of buildings showed some of the them have the damage values despite passing the review of Architecture Committee. Therefore Landscape Policies required institutional maintenance. 3) As physical landscape Elements of buildings is a minimum quantitation criterion of not less than 1.5 for D/H, or less than a factor of $27^{\circ}$ for angle of elevation and not less than 7.8m for elevation blockage ratio was presented as a criterion for preventing damage to the minimum Coastal Landscape.

  • The purpose of this study is to categorize Commercial area by identifying characteristics of blocks and coding them in order to segment use zoning in Commercial area. The study was conducted as follows. Data from building register, cadastral map, statistics annual report are utilized to identify the physical environment of the block. four types used as code under the physical environment classification code which are classification code of physical environment, detail usage, volume ratio, and height type are set, and combine the classification codes sorted by the four types of code. Through the physical environment classification codes, there are currently 37 different block characteristics of the Old downtown Commercial area. Diversity is not reflected. There are only Central commercial area of regulations in Old downtown commercial areas that are uniformly managed. For the renewal, management and development that can occur in the near future, it is necessary to segment of use district in the commercial area. Consider the current situation and future development direction for the management of sustainable commercial areas. Management is required using physical environment classification codes. It is meaningful that it can be maintained, managed and developed in accordance with the characteristics of each block.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a GIS-based digital Forest Land-use(FLU) Map Building Process which will be adopted as the map publishment methodology for the official FLU Map notification in 2007. The process is composed of 6 steps, extracting forest lands from Continuous Land Map(CLM), extracting forest land borders restricted by other laws, extracting boundaries between semi- and reserve forest lands, making digital FLU map by integrating spatial and attribute data among the extractions, printing FLU map and FLU register, and re-correcting zoning errors. Through the process, in 1:25,000 and 1:5,000 scale, 14 and 173 sheets of the FLU Maps and it's register were created for the whole area of Hwaseong, Kyunggi.

  • This study aims at developing the interior design method of Public Toilet in office building. There needs new concepts in Public Toilet where we felt dirty smelling and dismal in the past. And the behavior in the Public Toilet become various such as combing the hair making-up changing the clothes rinsing out mouth and so on. Nowadays The Public Toilet of office building shows indirectly the hierarchy and the management philosophy of its enterprise, This study treats with the design items such as unit space zoning plan lighting plan and air-conditioning plan and construction method of Public-Toilet in office building. As a result of this study the interior design methods of Public Toilet must reflect use of fitting material lighting plan user's needs and functional divide.(Powder Zone and Physiology Zone) These result will become basic data of future interior design in Public Toilet.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the using method of the satellite image processing and GIS(Geographic Information System) map-algebra for the sustainable (land-use) plan. The research has been made by the two kinds of approaching steps. The first one is to allocate the sustainable zoning which is applicable to the environmental and the legal restriction elements base on space structure. The second one is to make a more sustainable plan through the extension of analysis range and the inclusion of analyzed environmental impacts within the plan making processes.

  • This study aims to measure amount of the reduction ratio of energy consumptions by the daylight responsive dimming systems, which uses daylighting and electric lighting. The results of this study show that the reduction ratio of electric power is better 'clear sky' by sky condition and 'window side of room' by zoning. When calculating reduction ratio of energy consumptions with used times in real office space, it tells that the result of real office was higher ratio than that of experimental space. For this study which presents efficient use of daylight in office environment, it will be basis of improving energy performance.

  • A conceptual core design of the 1,300MWe KNGR (Korean Next Generation Reactor) without using soluble boron for reactivity control was developed to determine whether it is technically feasible to implement SBF (Soluble Boron Free) operation. Based on the borated KNGR core design, the fuel assembly and control rod configuration were modified for extensive use of burnable poison rods and control rods. A new fuel rod, in which Pu-238 had been substituted for a small amount of U-238 in fuel composition, was introduced to assist the reactivity control by burnable poison rods. Since Pu-238 has a considerably large thermal neutron capture cross section, the new fuel assembly showed good reactivity suppression capability throughout the entire cycle turnup, especially at BOC (Beginning of Cycle). Moreover, relatively uniform control of power distribution was possible since the new fuel assemblies were loaded throughout the core. In this study, core excess reactivity was limited to 2.0 %$\delta$$\rho$ for the minimal use of control rods. The analysis results of the SBF KNGR core showed that axial power distribution control can be achieved by using the simplest zoning scheme of the fuel assembly Furthermore, the sufficient shutdown margin and the stability against axial xenon oscillations were secured in this SBF core. It is, therefore, concluded that a SBF operation is technically feasible for a large sized LWR (Light Water Reactor).

  • The purpose if the study is to apply GIS technique to sample area, Choensoo-Bay basin for an efficient and practical coastal zone management if pollution control. The basins, Unit if pollution control, are selected with qualitative analysis using DEM after considered river length, degree and area of basin through channel network analysis. Choensoo-Bay basin is divided with 6 zones to 33 subordinate zones. It is found to be a big difference of pollutant loads in each zone. The pollutant loads use to review for efficient zoning. And also the result apply to measurement of water quality and building for environmental infrastructure.
