A UCP-based Model to Estimate the Software Development Cost (소프트웨어 개발 비용을 추정하기 위한 사용사례 점수 기반 모델)

  • In the software development project applying object-oriented development methodology, the research on the UCP(Use Case Point) as a method to estimate development effort is being carried on. The existing research proposes the linear model calculating the development effort that multiplies an invariant on AUCP(Adjusted Use Case Point) which applied technical and environmental factors. However, the statistical model that estimates the development effort using AUCP and UUCP(Unadjusted Use Case Point) is not being studied. The irrelevant relationship of the linear regression model, whose development period is increasing tremendously as the software size increases, is confirmed. Moreover, during the UCP calculating process, there can be errors in FP by applying the TCF(Technical Complexity Factor) and EF(Environmental Factor). This paper presents a non-linear regression model, that does not consider the TCF and EF, and that estimate the development effort from UUCP directly by utilizing the exponential function. An exponential function is selected among the linear, logarithm, polynomial, power, and exponential model via statistical evaluations of the models mentioned above.

  • Use Case Point(UCP) is a measure of a software project size for software effort estimation based on use case. UCP measures the size of the software project based on the use case model. Because UCP is based on the use case model, it is intuitive and easy to obtain. Also, it does not require extra artifacts. On the other hand, UCP has some problems. UCP assumes every transaction has the same complexity. But, the number of operations and complexity of operations may affect complexity of transaction. In addition, UCP uses simple rating scale of complexity, but it may be inadequate for detailed estimates. To solve these problems, we suggest "Transaction Point(TP)", a size measure based on use case transaction. TP considers actors and operations in transaction. Complexity of transaction is based on the number of operations and complexity of operation, so it can support detailed estimation.

  • This paper started from a question: Can it help a student solve the problem to give supports in point of view of a teacher knowing the solution. We performed a case study to get an answer for the question. We analysed a case which students do not make full use of data in the mathematical problem from this point of view of the mental representation. We examined closely the cause for not making full use of data. We got that the wrong mental representation which the students get from data in the problem lead to not making full use of data. We knew that it is insufficient to present the data not making use of. To help a student truly, it is necessary to give a aid based on a student's mental representation. From the conclusion of study, We got that figuring out student's mental representation is important and hope that many investigation about student's mental representation for various problem occur with frequency.

An Elementary-Function-Based Refinement Method for Use Cases to Improve Reliability of Use Case Points (유스케이스 점수 측정의 신뢰도 향상을 위한 단위기능 중심의 유스케이스 정제 방법)

  • Use The Use Case Points method is a software estimation method that is based on user requirements. When requirement analysts elicit user requirements, they obtain different use cases because different levels of detail are possible for the Use Case, and this affects the Use Case Points. In this paper, we suggest a method to refine the level of detail of the Use Case by using the concept of an elementary function. This refinement method achieves the desired reliability for the Use Case Points because it produces less of a deviation in the Use Case Points for different requirement analysts than other methods that are based on the step, transaction, and narrative of the Use Case.

The development of land use planning technique applying low impact development and verifying the effects of non-point pollution reduction : a case study of Sejong city 6 district (저영향개발(LID)을 적용한 토지이용계획 기법 개발 및 적용효과 분석 : 세종시 6생활권을 대상으로)

  • The aim of this study was to develop a low impact development design technique that can be applied in the land use planning stage and verify quantitatively the effects of non-point pollution reduction. For this purpose, the low impact development design elements that can be applied in the land use planning stage were derived and applied to an actual site, and the non-point pollution reduction effect was analyzed using the LIDMOD2 program. The analysis showed that the permeability rate of the land use plan using low impact development decreased by 19.8% compared to the existing land use plan. In addition, annual surface runoff decreased by 19.0% and annual infiltration increased by 164.1%. In the case of non-point pollution, the annual loading, T-N, T-P, and BOD decreased by 18.7 ~ 22.8%. Therefore, compared to the existing land use plan, the land use plan using low impact development has a considerably large effect of reducing the non-point pollution without changing the floor area according to each application. Therefore, to maximize the reduction effect of non-point pollution, it will be necessary to establish a related plan by applying the low impact development technique from the land use planning stage to the existing LID facility-oriented plan.

  • Software Development is converting from structural to object oriented method. The later software development prefers the iterative process applications, not aterfall process and based on use case model, the requirements are expressed and based on this, analysis, design and coding are accomplished. Therefore, size of the software to be developed is estimated basing on use case and it is only possible to maintain the project success by estimating development effort, cost and development period. Even though development effort estimation models related current use case point. there is no appropriate development effort estimating. This paper shows, as a result of applying the development effort estimating model about UCP to the growth curve, a superior performance improvement to current statistical models. Therefore, estimation of development effort by applying this model, project development maintenance can be appropriately carried out.

  • The purpose of this study is to raise the drinking rate of Arisu, the tap water in Seoul, and to propose new solution for continuous water quality management and raising awareness. The research scope was limited to point-of-use water treatment system, and based on the this contents I proceed this study how this will help to increase direct drinking rate of Arisu. Through research, Korea has provided users with the ability to filter contaminated tap water simply as water to be rinsed through water purification. Therefore, it was predicted that it would be difficult to improve tap water as drinking water. With this study, I expect that the strength of point-of-use system and the reliability of tap water quality will be raised and hope various product will be developed to improve the perception as drinking water and I also expect that this can be applied to whole country even further in the scope of Seoul city.

  • The rectilinear-distance location problem combines the property of being a very appropriate distance measure for a large number of location problems and the property of being very simple to treat analytically. An obvious question to be asked at the optimal point which is obtained by the rectilinear distance method is, "what if the point is not available as a location site\ulcorner." The point may, for example, be inaccessible or may coincide with the location of another structure, a river, or a municipal park. In this case, one approach that may be employed is to construct contour lines (also called iso-cost or level curves) of the cost function. Contour lines provide considerable insight into the shape of the surface of the total cost function as well as a useful means of evaluating alternative locations for the new facility. But, when there is an obstacle which divides the application area into two. The optimal location(which is acquired by the rectilinear distance method) is not coincide with the minimal cost point and the contour line is occasionally of no use, this paper shows the method of finding a way to decide an optimal point of single facility location in this case.this case.

  • Allocation of water pollution load from loading capacity can be much essential, controversial, and its standards can be applied case-by-case to the various situations. Allocation methods to point sources are generally 'Equal effluent concentration', 'Equal percent Treatment', Loading capacity at planning stage consists of basic pollution load, development pollution load, reserved pollution load and margin of safety. But at the implementing stage loading capacity can be consisted of allocatable load and margin of safety to give more flexibility in the total water pollution load management plan. In that case, we can re-adjust and altogether use the pollution load of point sources of series and non-point sources at the implementing stage.

  • I have come to next conclusions in consequence of documentary study about medical books of many generations regarding venesection therapy. 1. Venesection therapy is much used for five sensory organ disease. Besides that internal disease, pain paralysis disease of muscle and joints, sugical disease, disease of woman and children, fever sunstroke CVA emergency case follow that in the order of frequency of use. 2. It is used for swollen tongue, eye pain, pharyngitis, swelling and pain in the throat, bleeding from the eye ear nose mouth or subcutaneous tissue, tonsillitis, aphthae and so on in the five sensory organ disease. Focus, sosang, jinjin yuye, taiyang, baihui are used for five sensory organ disease in the order of frequency of use. 3. It is used for malaria, headache, precordial pain, head-wind, abdominal colic, diseases characterized by acute diarrhea and vomiting, and so on in the Internal disease. Superficial venules and lymph vessesls, taiyang, quze are used for Internal disease in the order of frequency of use. 4. It is used for low back pain, hypochondriac pain, numbness, knee pain, tinea pedis, red swelling pain of hand and arm, flaccidity-syndrome, and so on in the pain paralysis disease of muscle and joints. Weizhong, superficial venules and lymph vessesls, Ashi point, zhigou are used for pain paralysis disease of muscle and joints in the order of frequency of use. 5. It is used for furuncle, tinea capitis, and so on in the sugical disease. Focus, weizhong are used for sugical disease in the order of frequency of use. 6. It is used for inflammatory disease with redness of skin, and so on in the disease of woman and children. Focus, weizhong, yanglingquan, yaoshu, sanyinjiao are used for disease of woman and children in the order of frequency of use. 7. It is used for fever, CVA, sunstroke, cadaverous coma, common cold, and so on in the fever sunstroke CVA emergency case. Sosang, weizhong, chize are used for fever sunstroke CVA emergency case in the order of frequency of use. 8. The urinary bladder channel of foot-taiyang is most used. Next there are the du channel, the stomach channel of foot-yangming, the lung channel of hand-taiyin, the gall baldder channel of foot-shaoyang, the triple-warmer channel of hand-shaoyang, the large intestine channel of hand-yangming, the spleen channel of foot-taiyin, the kidney channel of foot-shaoyin the pericardium channel of hand-jueyin the liver channel of foot-jueyin, the ren channel, the heart channel of hand-shaoyin, the small intestine channel of hand-taiyang in the order of frequency in use. 9. Superficial venules and lymph vessesls, focus, five shu points, extra-point, back point are used in the venesection therapy, those are characteristic of locating an acupuncture point.
