울산지역의 기상 특성: 기온과 바람을 중심으로 (Meteorological Characteristics in the Ulsan Metropolitan Region: Focus on Air Temperature and Winds)

  • Spatial-temporal meteorological features of the Ulsan metropolitan region (UMR) were analyzed using observations and high-resolution numerical modeling. Long-term trend analysis (1970~2013) showed a significant increase of $0.033^{\circ}Cyr^{-1}$ in the 5-year moving average temperature, although detailed short-term features varied, whereas wind speed and relative humidity over the same period displayed clear decreases of $-0.007ms^{-1}$ and $-0.29%yr^{-1}$, respectively. These trends indicate the effects of regional climate change and urbanization in the UMR. Seasonal variations averaged for the most recent three years, 2011~2013, showed that temperatures in three different regions (urban/industrial, suburban, coastal areas) of the UMR had similar seasonality, but significant differences among them were observed for a certain season. Urban and industrial complex regions were characterized by relatively higher temperatures with large differences (max.: $3.6^{\circ}C$) from that in the coastal area in summer. For wind speed, strong values in the range from 3.3 to $3.9ms^{-1}$ occurred in the coastal areas, with large differences clearly shown between the three regions in September and October. Diurnal variations of temperature were characterized by pronounced differences during the daytime (in summer) or nighttime (in winter) between the three regions. Results from the WRF modeling performed for four months of 2012 showed large variations in gridaverage temperature and winds in the UMR, which displayed significant changes by season. Especially, a clear temperature rise in the urban center was identified in July ($0.6^{\circ}C$ higher than nearby urban areas), and overall, relatively weak winds were simulated over urban and inland suburban regions in all seasons.

  • ITS(Intelligent Transport Systems)는 시민들의 교통이용 안전과 편의를 도모하고 교통 시스템의 효율적인 운영 및 관리를 위해 대도시를 중심으로 도입되었다. 우리나라의 경우 ITS가 전국적으로 확대되면서 도로소통상황, 교통량, 대중교통운영현황 및 관리상황, 대중교통이용현황 등 다양한 교통정보가 생성되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 ITS에서 수집되는 데이터 중 하나인 DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communications) 빅데이터를 활용하여 도시 교통구조를 네트워크 분석 기법을 통해 규명한다. 이를 통해 도심에서의 복잡한 교통현상을 단순화시키고, 차량 흐름에 따른 도시 교통의 구조적 특징을 도출한다. 분석 결과는 도시의 교통을 좀 더 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 도와주고, 향후에 도시교통의 혼잡 해소방안, 도로 확장 계획 등의 교통정책 수립시 기초연구 자료로 활용할 수 있다.

한반도 내 효과적인 도시지역작전 수행을 위한 연구 (A Research for conducting successful Urban Operation in Korean peninsular)

  • 한반도는 국토의 75%가 산악지대로 되어있으며, 동고서저 북고남저의 지형 특성이 있는 전형적인 산악국가다. 산악 지형이라는 한반도의 지형적 특성은 변화하지 않지만 거주하는 사람들의 인위적인 변형으로 미래 한반도의 작전환경이 수시로 변화하고 있다. 한국지역은 지난 2000년대부터 지속적으로 도시화가 진행되어 2010년에는 한국의 90% 이상이 도시화되고 있으며, 도시지역에는 전체 인구의 약 80% 이상이 살고 있다. 특히 도시지역은 수많은 인구와 복잡한 건축물들이 혼재되어 있어 도시지역에서 전투가 벌어질 경우 수많은 제한사항이 발생한다. 지휘관들은 작전계획 수립 시 다양한 상황에 대한 면밀한 정보분석을 통해 제한요인들을 극복하도록 노력해야 한다. 도시지역에서 전투를 수행하기 위해서는 기존의 전투수행개념과 패러다임을 완전히 바꾸어야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 도시지역작전의 일반적인 특성과 한국 도시지역의 물리적 특성을 분석하고 한반도의 도시화 현상이 가속화됨에 따라 한국군이 어떻게 도시지역작전에 준비해야 하는 지에 대한 발전방향을 제시한다.

  • 이 논문은 공익명분에 입각한 공용수용 방식을 통해서 시행하는 미국 도시재생사업에서 사유재산권의 차별화를 분석한다. 도시재생사업이 강력한 수용방식을 활용하는 사업임에도 불구하고 실제로는 사회적 약자로부터 대자본 또는 민간개발업자에게 재산권을 이전시키는 재산권 차별화와 희생과정임을 밝힌다. 먼저 도시재생에 대해 다양한 학문적 관점에서 연구동향을 검토하고, 새로운 연구방향으로서 법제지리학적 관점을 제시한다. 다음으로 환경보호청과 회계검사원 자료를 통해 미국에서 이들 사업대상 지구의 규모를 추정하며, 이들을 탈공업화와 교외화의 유산으로 파악한다. 다음으로 사유재산권의 차별화 과정은 미국 연방대법원의 공적소유개념에서 경제적 공익개념으로의 공익개념 확장 과정, 공용수용의 민영화 과정, 개발주의 성장연합체제와 대자본 편향 및 인종 계층적 편견, 신자유주의적 재산권운동 등이 복합적으로 작용하여 발생하는 결과라는 것을 밝힌다.

Population Allocation at the Building level for Micro-level Urban Simulation: A Case of Jeonju, Korea

  • It is important for urban planners and policy makers to understand complex, diverse urban demands and social structure, but this is not easy due to lack of data that represents the dynamics of residents at micro-geographical level. This paper explores how to create population data at at a micro-level by allocating population data to building. It attempted to allocate population data stored in a grid layer (100 meters by 100 meters) into a building footprint layer that represents the appearance of physical buildings. For the allocation, this paper describes a systemic approach that classifies grid cells into five prototypical patterns based on the composition of residential building types in a grid cell. This approach enhances allocation accuracy by accommodating heterogeneity of urban space rather than relying on the assumption of uniform spatial homogeneity of populations within an aerial unit. Unlike the methods that disaggregate population data to the parcel, this approach is more applicable to Asian cities where large multifamily residential parcels are common. However, it should be noted that this paper does not demonstrate the validity of the allocated population since there is a lack of the actual data available to be compared with the current estimated population. In the case of water and electricity, the data is already attached to an individual address, and hence, it can be considered to the purpose of the validation for the allocation. By doing so, it will be possible to identify innovative methods that create a population distribution dataset representing the comprehensive and dynamic nature of the population at the micro geographical level.

A "Dynamic Form-Finding" Approach to Environmental-Performance Building Design

  • Newly-designed high-rise buildings, both in China and abroad, have demonstrated new innovations from the creative concept to the creative method. from the creative concept to the creative method. At the same time, digital technology has enabled more design freedom in the vertical dimension. "Twisting" has gradually become the morphological choice of many city landmark buildings in recent years. The form seems more likely to be driven by the interaction of aesthetics and structural engineering. Environmental performance is often a secondary consideration; it is typically not simulated until the evaluation phase. Based on the research results of "DigitalFUTURE Shanghai 2017 Workshop - Wind Tunnel Visualization", an approach that can be employed by architects to design environmental-performance buildings during the early stages has been explored. The integration of a dynamic form-finding approach (DFFA) and programming transforms the complex relationship between architecture and environment into a dialogue of computer language and dynamic models. It allows the design to focus on the relationship between morphology and the surrounding environment, and is not limited to the envelope form itself. This new concept of DFFA in this research consists of three elements: 1) architectural form; 2) integration of wind tunnel and dynamic models; and 3) environmental response. The concept of wind tunnel testing integrated with a dynamic model fundamentally abandons the functional definition of the traditional static environment simulation analysis. Instead it is driven by integral environmental performance as the basic starting point of morphological generation.

도시와 농촌의 골관절염 환자의 건강관련 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 융합적 요인 비교 (Comparable Influencing Factors for Quality of Health-Life in Osteoarthritis Patients in Urban and Rural Areas)

  • 본 연구는 2014년도에 질병관리본부가 직접 자료 수집한, 제6기 국민건강영양조사의 2차 년도 원시자료를 이용한 2차 분석연구로, 본 연구의 목적은 도시와 농촌의 골관절염 환자의 건강관련 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인을 비교하기 위함이다. 연구대상자는 50세 이상 골관절염 환자 599명이다. 연구결과, 도시 골관절염 환자 건강관련 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인은 의료보장형태, 무릎관절통, 무릎강직, 엉덩관절통, 요통, 활동제한, 주관적 건강상태로 나타났다. 반면 농촌 골관절염 환자 건강관련 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무릎관절통, 활동제한, 음주로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로, 도시와 농촌의 골관절염 환자에게 공통적으로 접근할 수 있는 중재전략과 차별화 할 중재 전략을 구분하여 골관절염 환자에 대한 지역사회 재활 프로그램 및 건강관련 삶의 질 증진 방안을 마련하여야 할 것이다.

도심 캠퍼스 공유공간의 공간 구조 변화에 대한 연구 - 그리드락의 반대 개념으로서의 공유 캠퍼스로의 변화에 대하여 - (A Study on the Change of Spatial Structures of Shared Space at Urban Campuses - The opposite concept of Gridlock upon the change to shared campuses -)

  • Urban campus, one of the main urban facilities, is the representative place that is struggling with 'gridlock'. Due to privatization of space among different departments and space shortages, gridlock has been occurring as a result. The urban campus trying to solve this problem by changing the quality of space, especially the structure of the shared space, which is expected to be the solution to the grid lock problem. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the structural change in the university's shared space based on paradigm transition. The theoretical consideration is to analyze the spatial characteristics of university shared space that appear at different stages through a new perspective that compares the gridlock phenomenon and the shared paradigm. The framework of the analysis of the shared space, which has recently been restructured, is classified into the spatial characteristics of collaborative space, the creative space, and the common/complex space. In addition, these spatial characteristics are again analyzed through the division of legislative facility classification, management governance subject, area, building location and layout, exposure to the outside as well as the analysis of student and staff entry and exit, sharing structure of site and space, and the classification of program characteristics. The results are as follows: The restructured space is systemized so that the management governance of each space would be connected to each other to share information and space. Furthermore, the spatial boundary between colleges or between campus spaces are not only physically, but categorically clear. The restructured space has semi (or in-between)-spatial characteristics such as the intersection in inside and outside of the pedestrian's circulation and the mixture of programs. This study could serve as principal references in presenting the systematic analysis of directions of the shared spatial structure for the urban campus where new educational space is required due to the changes in the university system.

개발제한구역관리계획의 환경성 강화방안 연구 - 수도권 개발제한구역관리계획을 대상으로 - (A Study on the Environmental Enhancement of the Development Restricted Zone(DRZ) Management Plan)

  • Under the 「National Land Planning and Utilization Act」, Development Restriction Zones(DRZ) is one of the designated use district where the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport deems it necessary to control urban development in order to prevent urban sprawl and conurbation and ensure a healthy living environment for citizens by conserving the natural environment surrounding metropolitan cities. DRZ was first designated around the Seoul Metropolitan city in 1971, and had been expanded to the 14 metropolitan areas across the country since 1977. The designated areas were accounted for about 5.4% of the total national land and its importance was demonstrated by contributing to control urban sprawl, curbing real estate speculation, and providing green space to citizens. However, DRZ has been repeatedly relaxed its regulations and allowed development under government. As a result, much of the green areas was damaged and several cities were merged and extended(conurbation). In particular, deregulation implemented for the purpose of securing land as part of national projects and local outstanding business(i.g. constructions of national rental housing, industrial complex, and international stadium) have caused continuous environmental damage around the metropolitan cities. In addition, the habitat fragmentation is in serious situation. Thus, the systematic plans for managing DRZ are necessary, since it is concerned that urban environment become deteriorate in the mid- to long-term. This study aims to continuously protect the urban environment from lifting DRZ. Therefore, firstly, we examined the environmental status through analyzing DRZ Management Plan which shall be drawn up by the Special Metropolitan City Mayor, the Metropolitan City Mayor or the Mayer/Do governor having jurisdiction, every five years to collectively manage DRZ. Secondly, we investigated the actual condition in DRZ based on the case study of Management Plan in Metropolitan areas(i.e. Seoul Metropolis, Gyeonggi-do, and Incheon Metropolis). Finally, we suggested the seven feasible improved political plan for managing DRZ.

UAM 환경에서의 3D Point Cloud Data 지면/객체 분리 기법 연구 (A Study on Ground and Object Separation Techniques Utilizing 3D Point Cloud Data in Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Environments)

  • 최근 UAM(Urban Air Mobility)에 대한 관심이 도시의 교통 혼잡과 대기오염 문제 해결 방안으로 급증하고 있다. 하지만 UAM의 효율적인 운영을 위해서는 3D Point Cloud 데이터의 정확한 처리가 필요하며, 특히 지면과 객체를 분리하는 문제가 중요하다. 본 논문은 UAM 환경의 동적이고 복잡한 특성을 고려하여 지면과 객체를 효과적으로 분리하는 방법을 제안하고 검증한다. 우리의 접근 방식은 MEMS 센서로부터 얻은 자세 정보와 RANSAC을 이용한 지면 평면 추정을 결합하여, GPS 오차에 크게 영향 받지 않는 지면/객체 분리를 가능하게 한다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 이 방법이 UAM 환경에서 효과적으로 작동함을 보여주며, 도심 항공 모빌리티의 안전성과 효율성을 향상시키는 중요한 단계를 제시한다. 향후 연구는 이 알고리즘의 정확성을 높이고 다양한 UAM 환경에서 성능을 평가하며, 실제 드론 테스트를 진행할 예정이다.
