  • In a study of the existing Collaboration, U-I Collaboration linkage(LINK) has a width of the various channels through continuous mutual cooperation by the path-dependency. U-I Collaboration linkage(LINK) through the various channels is more powerful, whereas this increase trade-related barriers. In other words, It has been discussed in many literatures about the U-I Collaboration linkage(LINK). However, relatively a study on the factor of the barrier about U-I Collaboration linkage(LINK) is a minority. Given the importance of policies to establish an association of industry-university cooperation and support system, the lack of research on the obstacles to U-I Collaboration linkage(LINK) will be a serious obstacle for designing effective policies. This paper examines the existing literature about the width of mutual cooperation and the barrier of U-I Collaboration, analyze to lower the barrier of U-I cooperation through POB(Positive Organization Behavior) of university administration. In conclusion, we would like to suggest the policy implications.

  • This paper proposes a method for selecting the capacitance of DC-link capacitors of inverters. In general, the DC-link capacitance of the inverter system must be considered for DC-link voltage, ripple current, switching frequency, ripple voltage, and pulse-width modulation techniques. Therefore, the appropriate capacitance can be determined by finding the rms and peak values of the ripple current of the capacitor. In this paper, the process of extracting the ripple current of DC-link capacitor is described in detail. In addition, the simple method for finding DC-link capacitor capacitance using the result value is presented through the simulations.

  • Traffic safety and congestion are becoming more and more serious, especially the frequent occurrence of traffic accidents, which have caused great casualties and economic losses. Cellular Vehicle to Everything (C-V2X) can assist in safe driving and improve traffic efficiency through real-time information sharing and communication between vehicles. All vehicles communicate directly with Base Stations (BS), which will increase the base station load. And when the communicating vehicles are too far apart, too fast or there are obstacles in the communication path, the communication link can be unstable or even interrupted. Therefore, choosing an effective and reliable multi-hop relay-assisted Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) communication can not only reduce the base station load and improve the system throughput but also expand the base station coverage and improve the communication quality of edge vehicles. Therefore, a communication area division scheme based on regular hexagon segmentation technology is proposed, a relay-assisted V2V communication mechanism is designed for the divided communication areas, and an efficient communication link is constructed by selecting the best relay node. Simulation results show that the scheme can improve the throughput of the system by nearly 55% and enhance the robustness of the V2V communication link.

Weighted Local Naive Bayes Link Prediction

  • Weighted network link prediction is a challenge issue in complex network analysis. Unsupervised methods based on local structure are widely used to handle the predictive task. However, the results are still far from satisfied as major literatures neglect two important points: common neighbors produce different influence on potential links; weighted values associated with links in local structure are also different. In this paper, we adapt an effective link prediction model-local naive Bayes model into a weighted scenario to address this issue. Correspondingly, we propose a weighted local naive Bayes (WLNB) probabilistic link prediction framework. The main contribution here is that a weighted cluster coefficient has been incorporated, allowing our model to inference the weighted contribution in the predicting stage. In addition, WLNB can extensively be applied to several classic similarity metrics. We evaluate WLNB on different kinds of real-world weighted datasets. Experimental results show that our proposed approach performs better (by AUC and Prec) than several alternative methods for link prediction in weighted complex networks.

Effects of Marketing Communication Capabilities on the link between Corporate Social Responsibility on Firm Value: Observations from the Service Industry

  • An increasing number of studies have examined the effects of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities on corporate financial performance (CFP) in the service industry. However, the extant literature does not provide comprehensive insights into the conditions on which the CSR-CFP link relies. In this study, firms' marketing communication capability (MCC) is introduced as an important contingency variable, which determines the effects of CSR on the corporate financial performance, in the context of restaurant businesses. Multiple year data on the spending of public restaurant chains on different media are collected, and MCC is subsequently measured using the data envelope analysis. Then, a test is conducted to prove whether MCC moderates the relationship between CSR and firm financial performance. The empirical results support the hypothesis that MCC strengthens the effect of CSR on CFP. Through the findings, this research provides several interesting and important implications to the literature and managers of service firms.

  • Thus, this study aimed to develop a gear-type vane damper in order to replace the link-type vane damper. To achieve this goal, the torque generated in a gear-type vane damper was analyzed, and a structural analysis was conducted. In addition, the fluid flow was analyzed according to the changes in the vane's angle, and experimental tests such as a dry-heat test and cold test were conducted considering the operating conditions of the vessels. Moreover, an appropriate actuator was selected for the developed gear-type vane damper, and studies on the reduction in the backlash due to the facing-pressure adjustment length and flow rate and leakage test due to the vane's angle were conducted.

  • The National Competency Standards(NCS) has been developed a good curriculum to reflect the demand in the industry. NCS is defined as systemizing the knowledge, skill, and attitude required to perform a task in the industry. It is an effort to reduce the gap between educational requirements and occupational requirements. However, when NCS is applied, the task level is changed to the title of qualification according to the policy outcomes for the government project. And, the NCS has been emphasizing the purpose of license acquisition, rather than using the standard for tasks in the industry. It means that the misuse of NSC hinders utilizing it as the original purpose of standardizing a task. It requires the customer to study the required competency unit with a no-choice option. Moreover, it makes it hard for companies or industry autonomically run the NCS. Therefore, we define the operational range in terms of the education field, the qualification field, and the career field to diffuse and apply NCS, and suggest the effective utilization method.

  • Recently, due to Industry 4.0, there is a great interest in smart factory for productivity improvement and customer satisfaction in manufacturing industry, and construction is also actively pursued by government support. In particular, data integration and fieldbus communication technology to build an efficient production system are essential. Fieldbus is an open control system that is not tied to a specific vendor system and has various advantages such as compatibility with other products, accuracy of data transmission, and remote diagnosis. However, there are no educational equipment for training field buses, training courses and examples for practical training, and there are many limitations in improving the practical skills needed for building smart factories in the industrial field. Therefore, this study develops PLC based fieldbus education equipment and training course based on previous research results that selected PLC and communication technology suitable for domestic industry field for practical fieldbus training and develops the training program of Ethernet IP, Profibus DP, Modbus, CC-Link, and DeviceNet. In addition, it is confirmed that the control and remote diagnosis of distributed field devices are possible by data collection and monitoring.

  • SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) System was first introduced to the Seoul Electricity Authority, which manages the transportation part among the three business fields that produce, transport and supply electric power in Korea. Has been using the data link with 1200 bps and 9600 bps in 5 protocols such as HARRIS 6000, BSC, HDLC, L & N and Toshiba by configuring 3 layers of EMS, SCADA and RTU computer equipments in 1: N radial form. This paper presents the OSI standard network packet flow, analyzing DataLink and Network Layer, and presents a KEPCO SCADA network model composed of X.25 high - speed communication network using 3 layers of network. We proposed a future SCADA communication structure that improved the current SCADA communication structure, defined the SCADA DB structure, introduced the concept of the remote SCADA gateway to the SCADA functional structure, applied the standard communication protocol, Multiplexing of surveillance and control in other local facilities and ensuring communication openness.
