Recently, the role of IT service providers has been enlarged from managing a single function or system to reconstructing entire information management processes in new ways to contribute to shareholder value across the enterprise. This movement toward extensive and complex outsourcing agreements has been driven by the assumption that outsourcing information technology functions is a reliable approach to maximizing resource productivity. Hiring external IT service providers to manage part or all of its information-related services helps a firm focus on its core business and provides better services to its clients, thus obtaining sustainable competitive advantage. This practice of focusing on the strategic aspect of outsourcing is referred to as strategic sourcing where the focus is capability sourcing, not procurement. Given the importance of the strategic outsourcing, however, to our knowledge, there is little empirical research on the relationship between the strategic outsourcing orientation and outsourcing performance. Moreover, there is little research on the factor that makes the strategic outsourcing effective. This study is designed to investigate the relationship between strategic IT outsourcing orientation and IT outsourcing performance and the process through which strategic IT outsourcing orientation influences outsourcing performance, Based on the framework of strategic orientation-performance and core competence based management, this study first identifies core competency orientation as a proper strategic orientation pertinent to IT outsourcing and IT outsourcing process management capability as the mediator to affect IT outsourcing performance. The proposed research model is then tested with a sample of 200 firms. The findings of this study may contribute to the literature in two ways. First, it draws on the strategic orientation - performance framework in developing its research model so that it can provide a new perspective to the well studied phenomena. This perspective allows practitioners and researchers to look at outsourcing from an angle that emphasizes the strategic decision making to outsource its IT functions. Second, by separating the concept of strategic orientation and outsourcing process management capability, this study provides practices with insight into how the strategic orientation can work effectively to achieve an expected result. In addition, the current study provides a basis for future studies that examine the factors affecting IT outsourcing performance with more controllable factors such as IT outsourcing process management capability rather than external hard-to-control factors including trust and relationship management. This study investigates the major factors that determine IT outsourcing success. Based on strategic orientation and core competency theories, we develop the proposed research model to investigate the relationship between core competency orientation and IT outsourcing performance and the mediating role of IT outsourcing process management capability on IT outsourcing performance. The model consists of two independent variables (core-competency-orientation and IT outsourcing process management capability), and two dependent variables (outsourced task complexity and IT outsourcing performance). Comprehensive data collection was conducted through an outsourcing association. The survey data were analyzed using a structural analysis method. IT outsourcing process management capability was found to mediate the effect of core competency orientation on both outsourced task complexity and IT outsourcing performance. Further analysis and findings are discussed.
Purpose: This study investigated the effects of simulation-based nursing education (for the care of congestive heart failure patients) on self-directed learning competency, clinical knowledge and problem-solving ability among nursing students. Methods: A one-group, pre-post design was utilized with 87 nursing students as the subjects. The scenario of simulation-based nursing education was created using a high-fidelity patient stimulator, and consisted of four states ((1) assessment, (2) reviewing laboratory data and administering medications and treatments, (3) managing increased dyspnea and decreased urine output, and (4) handling the "getting better" state). The simulation-based nursing education included orientation, team-based learning, team-based practice, and debriefing. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients and paired t-tests. Results: The scores on the factors for self-directed learning competency (t=-2.57, p= .011), clinical knowledge (t=-6.85, p<.001), and problem-solving ability (t=-3.01, p= .003) increased significantly after the education intervention. Conclusion: Simulation-based nursing education is useful in improving self-directed learning competency, clinical knowledge, and problem-solving ability in nursing students.

Even though many studies have showed that competence is positively related to organizational performance, few studies have attempted to find out the process of competency - performance. This study focuses on the organizational factors to explore their effect on the competence of customer relationship. Based on the data collected by KRIVET and the Ministry of employment and labor, strategic role of HR department and information systems are examined. As well human resource competency is investigated as a mediating variable. This study used surveys targeting department managers and executive members in firms and sample size was 1086 after cleaning the dataset by deleting all the cases with many missing values. The findings show that strategic role of HR department and information system has an influence on human resource competency, significantly. In addition, the human resource competency affect customer relationship competency, positively. Implications and directions for future research are discussed.
The purpose of this study was to develop a Disaster Nursing Preparedness Response Competency(DNPRC) Scale in terms of convergence and to verify its validity and reliability. Based on ICN Framework of the Disaster Nursing Competencies, DNPRC was developed through literature review. Participants was 292 nurses. Content Validitys, Construct Validity, and Reliability was verified through the exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, Convergent validity was tested by Pearson's coefficient correlation between DNPRC and DPQ-N. DNPRC was 5point likert scale with a total 34 item, consisting of 3 3 factosr, 16item of preparedness,4 factors, 18item of response. The reliability was Cronbach's ${\alpha}=.96$. This study may be useful to identify a disaster nursing competency and its related factors for nurse, and to develop nursing intervention to imprive nurses' disaster nursing competency.
The purpose of this study was to identify the influencing factors of satisfaction for clinical practice, critical thinking disposition on clinical competency in nursing students who have experienced non-face-to-face clinical practice. The participants in this study were 163 nursing students at four university. A on line survey was conducted from January 2021 to February, 2021. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, scheffé test, pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis by SPSS 22.0 version. The results of this study indicate that satisfaction for clinical practice, and critical thinking disposition have an influence on clinical competency in nursing students. The total explanation of clinical competency was 60.6%. Based on this, it is suggested to develop a program to improve clinical practice satisfaction and critical thinking tendency to increase clinical performance of nursing students who have experienced non-face-to-face clinical practice.

The revolution of nursing curriculum has been focused on clinical competency for nursing graduates to flexibly respond to changes in societal health needs and disciplinary requirements. In this trend, the study was designed to identify basic concepts of nursing education that reflects the changes in societal needs and nursing discipline, and to develop the instrument to measure performance level in each dimension of clinical competency. The study was conducted in two phases. In phase 1, principal concepts consisted of nursing education were determined through literature review as well as series of discussion sessions on nursing philosophies and educational objectives among researchers. Though the process, the conceptual framework of competency based nursing curriculum was constructed with nursing process and professional role as horizontal threads, client, health needs, and nursing interventions as vertical threads. Then, items were developed to represent each dimension of competency : client and health need, nursing process, professional role, and nursing interventions. The total of 273 items were included as to represent clinical competency required for BSN graduates. In phase 2, questionnaires were distributed to nursing faculties of 41 BSN programs to validate the 273-item Instrument developed to measure competency. The total of 34 subjects returned the questionnaire with 81% of response rates. The subjects of the study had an average of 42 months of clinical experience and 13 years of education experience in various nursing areas with an age range of 30 to 52 years. The data were analyzed by utilizing SPSSWIN and the results are as follows. 1) The mean score of the nursing process dimension was supported most with the mean of 3.60(SD=0.32) compared to client and health need dimension(M=3.49, SD=.40), professional role(M=3.41, SD=.44), and nursing interventions(M=3.57, SD=.34). 2) The dimensions of competency were moderately correlated to each other with a range of r=.433 to r=.829, confirming that four dimensions of competency were related but distinct concepts. 3) The items of each dimension were analyzed based on its appropriateness. 'Assessing risk factors of the clients' were most highly supported in client and health need dimension. Most items of nursing process dimension were considered appropriate, while items related to efficient communication were well supported in professional role dimension. In nursing intervention dimension, items on basic nursing skills were highly supported while items on specific nursing interventions such as music therapy or art therapy were considered relatively inappropriate to competency for BSN graduates. The findings clearly showed that the current nursing education more emphasizes nursing interventions based on nursing process than other dimensions of competency. There is a need to reconceptualize nursing curriculum that is able to reflect more of nursing professional role and client/health need dimensions. Further research to validate the instrument by confirming competency dimensions of nursing graduates who are currently working at the hospital has been suggested.
Learning agility as high potentials is drawing attention as a competency for leading an uncertain future society. The present study aims to determine the factors of learning agility in higher education context for future society. To address this goal, Major factors related to learning agility were derived through literature review and statistically verified. For statistical analysis, the nationwide data were collected from 1,000 undergraduate students in South Korea by National Youth Policy Institute. The participants asked to answer 29 items of learning agility questionnaires (LAQ). The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. As a result, learning agility items were verified normality and reliability. Learning agility was identified seven factors; challenging mind, learning responsibility, reflecting experience, intellectual curiosity, systemic thinking, change adaptability, and logical thinking. Also, the structural model fit of the seven factors of learning agility was also confirmed to be good. Based on the findings of the present study, empirical, theoretical, and practical contributions were presented, and suggestions for further research were proposed in detail.

The purpose of this paper is to divide franchise education and restaurant education programs into three factors: educational content, educational techniques, and educational environment. After completing the franchise curriculum, we will identify what educational programs affect corporate performance and CEO's capabilities. A total of 99 copies were used as statistical analysis data by conducting a survey of those who completed the training from May 01 to May 15, 2023. The survey used the Likert 5-point scale, and for data analysis, hypothesis verification was conducted using frequency analysis, demographic analysis, and reliability analysis using SPSS23. As a result, it was confirmed that all three factors of franchise education are factors that affect performance and competency. Therefore, among franchise education programs, it is necessary to be faithful to the contents of education, use appropriate educational techniques, and prepare an educational environment well.
This study investigates convergent factors related with communication competency of some health majors students in studying for TOEIC. The questionnaire was used using an unregistered self-administered questionnaire for 280 health majors students in TOEIC class from college located in J area from November 1, 2018 to November 30, 2018. The hierarchical multiple regression analysis shows the following results. The communication competency of respondents turned out to be significantly higher in following groups: a group in which ego-resilience is higher, a group in which inkling is higher, and a group in which self-leadership is higher. The results show explanatory power of 57.0%. The results of the study indicate that the efforts, to increase ego-resilience, inkling and self-leadership are required to improve the communication competency among health majors students in studying for TOEIC. These results can be used to develop and operate educational resources and support programs that improve communication competency of health majors students in studying for TOEIC. Future research requires presentation and analysis of structural models considering factors affecting communication competency and correlation with TOEIC scores of health majors students in studying for TOEIC.
Competency means 'the ability to do something', and competency-based education means 'the process of education based on the concept of competency'. Competency-based education is generally implemented in general education. However, competency-based education has not yet been actively conducted in the field of Christian education. In particular, it has not been established academically on what competencies Christian alternative schools provide in common. Most of the previous studies related to competency-based education in Christian education are related to competency-based education conducted by Christian universities. Research related to competency in Christian alternative schools is mainly related to the professionalism of teachers or the ideology of Christian alternative schools. In other words, there are few specific studies on what kind of competency they provide to students attending Christian alternative schools. Therefore, this study aims to understand the reality of competency-based education conducted by Christian alternative schools using Delphi analysis techniques. Through this study, four goals and 20 competency elements of competency education pursued by Christian alternative schools were found. By categorizing the goals and elements of competency education, it can be divided into relationships with God, relationships with oneself, and relationships with others and the world. In conclusion, it was suggested that Christian alternative schools should provide education that pursues the universal purpose of Christian education based on specificity and reflect the goals and elements of competency education in the curriculum.
