This study aimed to provide a basic data for presenting an appropriate plan of bathroom space which is suitable to our bathing behavior. We analized 1052 of small-sized apartment housing floor plans and the results were as follows. 1. Bathroom space were classified into 5 types : bath unit type, separated type, deficisncy type, over bath unit type, and semiseparated type and there was no separated type in this study. 2. The bathroom space type according to the size of housing 1) Deficiency type was the most popular one in 10-15 pyung sized housing. 2) In the size of 16-20 pyung housing, deficiency and bath unit type were popular ones. 3) Bath unit type was the most generalized one in 21-30 pyung. 4) Bath unit type and over unit type were generally equipped in 31-34 pyung housing. 3. The size of bathroom was ranged from 0.7 pyung to 2.0 pyung, and the ratio of it was 7.5- 12%.

The purpose of this study is to propose prototypical plans for a dwelling unit applying the concepts of 'open housing' and 'aging in place' for senior citizens living in cities focusing on specific life patterns with chronic disease. Especially, a unit was designed for diabetes patients because diabetes, a representative disease of elderly people, often accompanies complications such as arthritis and Alzheimer disease. A unit design suitable for the convenient life of the elderly people with diabetes will provide a guideline for the similar unit designs of the senior citizens with other diseases. In this study, three types of unit plan are proposed. A-type plan is for type-1 diabetes patients, B-type alt.1 for the independent seniors of type-2 diabetes patients, and B-type alt.2 for the dependant seniors of type-2 diabetes patients. And a support design for a unit plan with the exclusive area of $60\;m^2$ is proposed. The same support design is used for all three unit types. Although the locations of bathroom and storage room are fixed and the location of the kitchen is changeable only in wet-zone. In conclusion, senior residents with diabetes can choose one of three unit types before occupation and the chosen unit type can be renovated by replacing infill systems as the health condition or life style changes.

This paper deals with the spatial configuration of the unit floor plan based on the apartment building type. It is generally agreed that various apartment building types were organized by diverse apartment unit floor plan. The reason behind this diversity, apartment unit plan are affected by the environmental condition and the diverse spatial composition of the unit floor plan. Apartment building types were classified by the similarity of the justified-graph type. This types classified into two category; One core type which were classified by the shape of the core, and multiple core type which were compounded by more than two core. These categories divided into 5 types, and 2 types. Each types were compared in view of the mean depth, relative asymmetry, integration value. Consequently, these types could be classified in the number of the unit floor plan. It is profitable to 3 unit types which was analyzed in view of an indicator of the spatial configuration. Therefore, 3 unit types is favorable to the composition of the apartment building types.

In this study, the spatial analysis of the multi-housing unit plans was investigated since 1990 for the winners at the architectural competition which was held nationwide in Germany. The investigation was carried out from January in 1990 to December in 2010. 201Unit plans were analyzed. Space syntax model is used as analyzing tool of the Unit plans. The results of the study indicate followings: 1) The interior spaces in 3LDK types and 4LDK types, ordered by high value of integration are; (1) corridor, (2) entrance hall, (3) living room, (4) dining room. 2) The value of integration for the kitchen is higher in L/DK type than in LD/K type, and that for the living room is higher in LD/K type than in L/DK type. The mean value of integration for L/DK type is higher than that for LD/K type. This means that traffic line efficiency of L/DK type is higher than that of LD/K type. 3) The value of integration for corridor and entrance hall is gradually lower in recent years. That is, the type of Unit plans are changing from corridor types to hall types.

In the analysis of time series it is an important issue to determine whether a time series under study is stationary. For the test of the stationary of the time series the Dickey-Fuller (DF) type tests have been mainly used. In this paper, we consider the regular unit root tests and seasonal unit root tests based on the generalized Durbin-Watson (DW) statistics when the errors are independent. The limiting distributions of the proposed DW-type test statistics are the functionals of standard Brownian motions. We also obtain the finite distributions and powers of the DW-type test statistics and compare the performances with the DF-type tests. It is observed that the DW-type test statistics have good behaviors against the DF-type test statistics especially in the nonzero (seasonal) mean model.

This thesis suggests design considerations and solutions for cam type transfer unit in which feed, lift, and clamp motions are occurred by cams. For fast transferring and avoiding cam breakage, each designed cam must satisfy the given specifications such like velocity, acceleration, jerk, pressure angle, ram thickness, and torque. To reduce absolute torque magnitude, conjugate cam is suggested. Conjugate cam eliminates the redundant pre-load by using complementary cam and follower to avoid jumping between them. The result from the prototype shows the reductions of the absolute torque value, and it indicates that conjugate cam could enhance the working speed of cam type transfer unit and extend of the life span of cam type transfer unit.

The purpose of this study is to propose the unit plan for home office which can substitute the existing unvaried unit plan in housing and homogeneous working space in office building through the recognition of necessity and possibility about whether home-basedworkandhomeofficecanbeformedornot. Based on the above contents of a research, the following conclusions were summarized; 1. The unit plan of home office was divided into 'jointly-used type' and 'independent-separated type' in accordance with the relationship between housing and working space, 'dwelling-emphasis type' and 'working-emphasis type' in accordance with the grade of ranks between housing and working space. And the universal validity which could accept properly the dweller's characteristics was drawn by the above classification of unit types. 2. The required characteristics in a unit plan for home office were classified into flexibility, privacy, efficiency, identity, amenity. And the analyzing system of planning methodology was assigned according to dividing interior components into space-functional, space-designing interior facts. The planning methodology would have to be considered on the correlation with each required characteristic. As a result of the study, through a planning of independent-separated type, In especial, 'vertical-separated type', it was certificated that vertical-separated type could satisfy a variety of required characteristic in space-designing as well as space-functional aspect.

Apartments have become the most popular type of residential building in Korea since the 1960s. The dwelling space should be designed to accomodate various life styles or changing needs of family members. This research is conducted to analyze flexible interior space types of apartments and to improve the architectural planning and design of apartments that can satisfy various needs of residents. In this study, apartments of 10 - 90 pyeongs built in the region of Seoul, between 1998 and 2007, are investigated in terms of the unit plan, the number of open sides, and a distribution of flexible apartment types for each year, Apartments with flexible space are classified into 10 different types, including a flexible type between bedrooms, a flexible type between a bedroom and the livingroom, and a flexible type between the dinning room and the livingroom. According to the composition of unit plans, apartments are also differentiated as a single-corridor type, a double-corridor type, a stairway type, a hall type, and a combination type. According to these classifications, the characteristics of desirable unit plans were analyzed. The results of the analysis showed that, as the unit size of apartments get bigger, the ratio of width/depth of the front side unit plan is increased. This result reflects a trend of high-rise apartments which have an increased number of front-side bays and a shorter depth for better penetration of daylight. In addition, a hall type is found to have a wider front side and shorter depth. According to open sides, a flexible type of the livingroom and the dinning room/kitchen (L-D.K) is found to be most common for the front/back open space, and the livingroom is usually placed on the front/side open space. To meet the changing needs of residents, more research should be conducted on flexible dwelling space.

The drum-type hill-drop unit, an important working device of the plastic -film-covered hill planter, can finish filling and separating seed precisely, perforating film and holing , and its seeding depth and spacing are stability . The unit is applied to hole seed many crops, for example, cotton, corn , soybean, etc. The drum-type hill-drop unit(DHU) , the key work unit to the plastic film-covered planter, mainly consists of distributor box , seeding parts, hole forming unit and drum , It can be operated to accomplish seeds distributing, hole forming , plastic film perforating . Moreover , its inner cavity can be used as seed box.

The design of a control unit for a playback-type industrial robot is studied. Implemented for the cylindrical-coordinate type industrial robot with 5 degrees of freedom, the control unit constructed for the study consists of (i) z-80 .mu.p-based .mu.-computer control system (ii) Teach-Box for work command, and (iii) various softwares for generating signals for servo driving unit and operating the robot as playback-type. Softwares are developed by using high level Basic Language and low level z-80 Assembly Language for ease of programming and speed of program execution. To show the effectiveness, and example is included.
