The purpose of this study was to understand the preferences of the uniform design for the preschool student's parents. 97 parents became subjects for the research and questionaries were analysed by distribution of frequency and percentage using SPSS V. 18.0. The results of this study could be summarized as followings. First, most of the parents preferred to wearing preschool uniform and expected further improvement in function, material and design. Second, the preferred form was semi formal style consisting of shirt, knit vest, knit cardigan, and coat. Third, the preferred colors were the mixing together bright colors and quiet colors in vivid and pastel tone. Fourth, functional materials to comfort in children's physical activities and to serve convenience in cleaning were preferred. In Conclusion, the preferred design characteristics were combined function to enhance comfort and convenience in children's physical activities with esthetics to present loveliness and modesty as preschool students.

Taegwondo uniforms need powerful durability in fabrics against friction and shock because of higher exercising power. Therefore, in this study we developed more comfortable Taegwondo uniform for functional fabrics(deodorization rate, antibacterial activity and static charge). Chitosan is a deacetylated product of chitin, has widely been used in the biomedical sector, food industry, and textile industry. For the purpose of this study, we used the chitosan, which was congenial to the human body. Then, we compared the differences between the chitosan treated fabrics and non treated fabrics of Taegwondo uniform(100% polyester, 65% polyester/35% cotton). Chitosan was dissolved in 1% acetic acid. Also, the fabrics were washed using distilled water. Afterward, its treatment with chitosan was completed by padding the sample to its wet pick-up at $80{\pm}5%$ and by heating $150^{\circ}$ for 3 minutes. The chitosan treated Taegwondo uniform was improved on deodorization rate than non treated uniform. And the chitosan treated Taegwondo uniform was improved remarkably the antibacterial activity in all samples. In the further researches, the static charge was reduced in chitosan treatment uniform.

The purpose of this study was to provide basic information for developing a smart taekwondo uniform with enhanced functionality for children by investigating the wearing condition and satisfaction of taekwondo uniform among taekwondo training children. The data were collected from 162 children living in Seoul and Daegu. For data analysis were performed descriptive statistics, ${\chi}2$ -test and t-test using SPSS Ver. 12. The results of the analysis are as follows. The results revealed that respondents wearing the general training uniform during their training period were the most. The dissatisfaction for the general training uniform was a high price, lack of symbolic, lack of functionality in textiles, lack of variety in design and unfittness of size in order. The developed uniform can adjust the length using a zipper type fastener, and can be used in all seasons as the lining is detachable. It also uses nano-silver material, and soil release finish. It enhances the functionality of movement by treating with raglan sleeve and sleeve hem velcro tape, and designs the upper garment in the draping. Safety is improved through attaching GPS, and elastic material is mixed in the neckline for putting on and off easily. Piece of cloth is added inside the closing of the upper garment. Rings are made for fixing the taekwondo uniform belt. Pocket is designed in the lower garment and colors are multiplied.

The market share of conglomerates is increasing in the Korean school uniform market these days. Functional fit problems occurred. Girls choose slim silhouette often experienced fit problems. The purpose of this study is to probe for functional design elements of high school girls' uniforms. A questionnaire survey was carried out. 202 high school girls took part in the survey. The questionnaire measured school uniform brand preference and size of school uniform jackets. The results of the survey show that over half of participants(56.6%) wore their jackets over nine hours per day. They considered the aesthetics of the design as the most important factor when purchasing school uniforms. That element affected their brand preference. In analyses of the fit suitability, there were no significant differences between brands. The jacket lengths were significantly different among brands, but all were evaluated as being short. About 60% of students had difficulty raising their arms while wearing their school uniform jackets. The results of this study revealed that high school girls' uniform jackets are too short and tight. Ergonomic design elements should be applied to high school girls' uniform jackets.

This is the follow-up research on aesthetic review for Korean wrestling uniform design and deals with practical design evolvement of Korean wrestling uniform. The process and contents of the research was based on the outcome of the ground research. I studied Japanese wrestling and marketing strategy of its uniform, which enjoy added value as well as elevated worth as cultural item, and then compared it with our traditional wrestling. In addition, I divided practical designs into color, material and style according to concept for further research. The most important factor in designing traditional wrestling uniform can be found in harmonization of tradition and modernism. It is essential to operate and manage design in consistent and systematic way that can harmonize with modern sports marketing and designs, which contains national sentiment and contemporary mind. Designing Korean wrestling uniform with consistent concept based on aesthetic parts of Korean wrestling uniform, this research is meaningful as an exemplary for traditional and cultural item design as well as national costume.

The purpose of this study was to provide information on how to improve both the satisfaction and the current sizing system for the school uniform focused on middle and high school girls' students. For the satisfaction of their school uniform, there were statistical significance by the academic year in jacket design, blouse color, and skirt design in the case of middle school girls'. On the other hand, high school girls' evaluation of school uniform was significantly different in jacket color, jacket design, blouse color, textile of blouse, skirt color, and skirt design by the academic year. For the assessment of wearing motion, there was no significant difference by the grade in both middle school and high school girls'. However, it was shown more frequency of discomfort than that of comfort. For the evaluation of sizing fitness, the breadth of sleeve in jacket and the width of blouse were statistical significance in middle school girls' by the grade while the width of jacket, he breadth of sleeve in jacket, the length of blouse, the width of blouse and length of sleeve in blouse were different in high school students by the grade.

This study was initiated to develop a uniform design suitable for child inpatients. The experimental hospital inpatient uniform design was developed based on the results of the prior studies. The panel was composed of 5 experienced nurses and 5 clothing specialists. They evaluated the function of the experimental inpatient uniforms developed in this study. The experimental hospital gown design was reformed based on the panel's evaluation.1'hen the child inpatients performed the wear test for the reformed experimental hospital gown. The results of the study are as follows; 1. The child inpatient hospital gown design of the most hospitals were similar to the adult patient's uniform : the V-neckline shirts with full length set-in sleeves. The bottom was full length pull-on pants. The fabric was white cotton with blue hospital logo and stripe print in most cases. 2. The panel's specialty affected the evaluation of the uniform design. The nurses concerned about the durability after washing and ease for medical treatment. The clothing specialists cared about the features related to the clothing construction and ease for physical movement of body. 3. The most preferred hospital inpatient uniform design by the panels was the shirts or one- piece gown with three-quarter length sleeve and overarm seam opening. 4. The researchers developed one-piece dress gown for the children under two years old. Three different size pajamas were developed for children 2∼5 years old,5∼8 years and 8∼12 years old.

This paper presents the design, analysis, and experimental evaluations of precast reinforced UHPC (ultra high-performance concrete) beams with a new design concept of non-uniform flexural members. With outstanding mechanical properties of UHPC which can develop the compressive strength up to 200MPa, the tensile strengths up to 8~20MPa and the tensile strain up to 1~5%, a non-uniform structural shape of UHPC flexural beams were optimally designed using three-dimensional finite element analysis. The experiments were carried out and compared with the design strength in order to verify the performance of them. Proposed non-uniform UHPC beams were evaluated by a series of three-point beam loading test as well as estimated by design bending and shear strength of members. The newly designed UHPC beams show excellent performances not only in transverse load capacities but also in deformation capacities.

This research recognizes the importance of hotel and regular traditional restaurants contributing to tourism industry that goes along with demands of an era that considers traditional culture important, and focuses on searching for possibility by proposing direction of designs that traditional restaurant uniforms should aim. To achieve this study goal, by surveying the problems & preferences of the current uniform, over 60% of both the attendants & customers expected an improvement in the uniform. Most of the subjects wanted the improvement in design, followed by the improvement in functionality. Over 80% preferred traditional design or modernized design where traditional aspects were applied. Also, over 70% preferred a design where a pattern was applied. Among the patterns, over 80% of the subjects said that they prefer traditional patterns or modernized patterns where traditional aspects are applied. We admit that there are some limitations on this study, such as insufficient analysis & study on the attendants' action and their uniform, as well as limitations on restaurant selection. However, Through the study we expect that the Korea uniform can be differentiated from others, achieving World-class competitiveness.

The field of textiles and clothing is intimately involved in the business as a practical study. Many researchers consider how apply the theory to the business. Therefore, the study explores a process which builds an efficient relationship of industry-university focused on the example applied to an industry-university project of uniform design. The development process of the studyis composed of 4 levels: research and analysis, design development, production of samples, and manufacturing. In the process of research and analysis, it found out preference of design elements. These elements were reflected in design development to satisfy employee of wearing uniform. In the level of design development, 20 designs were deployed to use CAD system. Five deigns of them were produced to samples in 3 stages. Finally, to manufacturing was in charge of cooperative enterprises with clothing production equipment and university played a role of inspector. From theses research results, it has known that the field of uniform business is suitable for industry-university project because an enterprise with an order can get advice about clothing, a manufacturing company is able to complement a weaknessin the design, and university can have a chance applied the theory to the business. After this, the study will make a contribution to setting the direction of business to industry-university project.
