Designing a Employment Prediction Model Using Machine Learning: Focusing on D-University Graduates (머신러닝을 활용한 취업 예측 모델 설계: D대학교 졸업생을 중심으로)

  • Recently, youth unemployment, especially the unemployment problem of university graduates, has emerged as a social problem. Unemployment of university graduates is both a pan-national issue and a university-level issue, and each university is making many efforts to increase the employment rate of graduates. In this study, we present a model that predicts employment availability of D-university graduates by utilizing Machine Learning. The variables used were analyzed using up to 138 personal information, admission information, bachelor's information, etc., but in order to reflect them in the future curriculum, only the data after admission works effectively, so by department / student. The proposal was limited to the recommended ability to improve the separate employment rate. In other words, since admission grades are indicators that cannot be improved due to individual efforts after enrollment, they were used to improve the degree of prediction of employment rate. In this research, we implemented a employment prediction model through analysis of the core ability of D-University, which reflects the university's philosophy, goals, human resources awards, etc., and machined the impact of the introduction of a new core ability prediction model on actual employment. Use learning to evaluate. Carried out. It is significant to establish a basis for improving the employment rate by applying the results of future research to the establishment of curriculums by department and guidance for student careers.

  • What are the implications for us through the discussion on the effect of Germany's dual system of vocational education on the youth unemployment rate? You can find out what kind of evaluation Germany is receiving on the dual system vocational education system implemented based on the 'Vocational Education and Training Act' (Berufsbildungsgesetz), and the specific system establishment form for the industry-academic-government cooperation system. It was possible to present the crises and problems of these systems. Responsibility for the dual system of vocational education in Germany rests with the national and state ministries of education, and private enterprises and chambers of commerce are responsible for business practices. Practical work in a company is conducted through skill-oriented education, and in vocational schools, competency-oriented theoretical education is received. In addition, the necessity and demand for digital vocational and education training in accordance with German Idustrie 4.0 and higher vocational education degree acquisition through dual-degree courses were identified. It can be seen that the youth unemployment rate is the lowest in Europe due to the successful development and utilization of human resources to improve the competitiveness of companies, such as dual vocational education and training (VET) at all levels, higher vocational education at universities, and continuing vocational education programs. Vocational education in Korea will also be able to improve the unemployment rate by establishing a system that allows schools and businesses to conduct vocational education and training simultaneously. In particular, it was possible to judge the necessity of 'close consultation between labor, management, and government', which we consider the most important and should lead to in-depth discussion and cooperation for dual education between vocational schools and companies.

The Effects of Job Search Behaviors on Re-employment of the Unemployed in Korea (실직기간 구직활동이 실직자의 재취업에 미치는 영향분석)

  • Although economic crisis is allaying in Korea, the more effective unempoyment policies are requried in this present. So in this paper, we analyze the effects of relevant factors, especially job search behaviors of the unempyoed on reemployment and look for implications to the improvement of unemployment policies. Major findings are as follows: First, we find that job search behaviors, especially the effectiveness of job search activity and job search attitude are significantly different between the unemployed and the re-employed. Second, we find that the variables of job search behaviors - the effectiveness of job search activity (number of job offers), job search attitude (reservation wage), positive use of job search methods - significantly affect the re-employment of the unemployed from logistic regression analysis results. These findings' implications are as follows: First, the approach based on search theory may be useful in finding out determinants of re-employment. Second, the effects of job search behaviors on the reemployment and their implications should be actively accepted to policy makers in order to improve the effectiveness of un-employment policies. It meams that the effects of job search behaviors must be carefully considered in making or restructuring unemployment policies and their administrations.

Effects of Human Capital on Regional Growth: Evidence from US County Data (인적자원이 지역경제성장에 미치는 효과: 미국 카운티 데이터를 이용한 실증연구)

  • The purpose of the paper is to empirically investigate the role of human capital and labour market conditions in the growth process. To do so, cross-sectional data for 3062 counties across 50 states of the US. Firstly, findings from the empirical estimation suggest income convergence among US counties. Secondly, the stock of human capital appears to have the growth enhancing effect while education expenditures turn out to retard economic growth. Thirdly, it is found that the unemployment rate would have a negative association with regional growth whereas the net migration rate is likely to have a positive relationship with growth. Once the sample counties are divided into both the poor group and the rich group, finally, such main empirical results overall remain unchanged and statistically significant.

Our study is to make the commencement of an enterprise to reducing the faiure and to be successful for main point to successful commencement of an enterprise, the established can self capability and mental condition, the main important factor is types of industry selection, successful and those established who takes this conditions will very carefully inspect various matters by scientifically and rationally mind industrys propulsion graphs and open official fixture graphs will framing detail factors. One by inspect the reduction of failure, and successful commencement of an enterproses mind industry have been studied.

  • Recently Korea has stepped into a stage of sluggish development, and the unemployment of young people has become a major issue. Especially in 1998 IMF economic shock was influential in formulating government policy and social economic structure on employment. Restructuring now becomes everyday words and further restructuring is already under way. Owing to the growing economic crisis and resultant unemployment and initial appointment shall be considered conditional. Young job seekers are grappling with mastering their native language and unnecessary experiences. These unnecessary experiences are needless waste of time and money. Educational system in university may be affected by environmental changes in population of students and business crisis. Sometimes the departments made a very low rate of employment may be abolished or merged in university. The government will demand us in the work of reform by doing NCS. The government is now ask to teach, train and employ students on the basis of NCS especially in high-school, job training center, and college and university. NCS has advantages and disadvantages. NCS may reduce waste of time and money to make unnecessary experiences, provide standard course to prepare educational system. It will be a big help to adapt properly and make better employment system. The most negative element of the program is application to humanities and social sciences by the same standard with technology and engineering department in the university. Standardization of each educational course will not react quickly to rapidly changing situations in the future.

  • This paper examines the changes in early reemployment bonus system in Korea and investigates its effects on job finding rates of the unemployed and on their reemployment outcomes. The analysis on the characteristics of the recipients reveals that, after the policy change, the probability of receiving the bonus increases among female, older, and less educated job seekers. This paper also shows that exit hazard from unemployment has not changed significantly while the stability of the subsequent jobs has been substantially improved.

A Study on Wives' Experience of Unemployment of Their Husbands (남편의 실직에 대한 아내의 경험 연구)

  • In this study, I analyzed how wives experience their husbands' sudden loss of jobs. In-depth interviews were conducted with six married women whose husbands lost jobs. Each person was interviewed for 3 to 4 hours, between June and August 2003. The wives tended to see the husband as someone who gave them a hard time, yet whom they still had to rely on. In addition, the husband was another difficult problem that they had to deal with, because they had to watch the husband struggle to adjust following the distressing event. Some wives blamed themselves for the unemployment of their husbands and were pained for their husbands' adversity. The wives also had the challenge of taking up a job to support the family. Their marital life became tougher and more conflicts emerged. The wives often alienated their husbands from the rest of the family unintentionally, or attempted to break away from their husbands by leaving home. Yet, they returned home in the end, and tried to find hope, by taking a different perspective and looking at the bright side of life, by finding the value of her existence, through faith, and by reaffirming love for the husband and children.

An Exploratory Analysis on the Employment Preparation Process of Young Job-Seekers (청년구직자의 취업준비 과정에 대한 탐색적 분석)

  • Purpose of this research is to analyze young job-seekers' preparation for employment process. Participants for the present research include 30 unmarried single males and females in their 20s, who are preparing for employment after graduating four-year colleges. To follow the rule of data triangulation, data includes in-depth personal interviews, field notes, memorandums, coding books, and additional questionnaires. There are 556 abstracted meaning units, 15 subcategories, 11 main categories, and final 5 themes from the data analysis. The result showed that young job-seekers were experiencing a typical cycle of preparation, attempt, failure, slump, and downgrade in job seeking standard. It is also observed that youth unemployment was a persistent phenomenon of vicious circle not easy to overcome. Especially, young job seekers were reported to restructure the perception on employment as they struggle for seeking a job, in particular, at times of experiencing hardship during the job hunting process. The interviewees responded that the possibility of getting a job declines as the job hunting period drags on eventually ending up with applying for a job of lower qualification standard.
